And then it was OVER!

Abbi got a bunch of underwear(clean I must add) and took them downstairs and threw them at the girls the screaming began! The sentimentallity is over now! But I have to say this even as I was yelling at her to pick it up and put it away and stop picking on the girls, she had this smug smile on her face like it was allllllll so worth it! Oh to be the younger sibling!

I'm Her Biggest FAN!

You gotta love a Monday morning playdate! Last minute and awesomely fantastic something to occupy the children while I get stuff done! My to do list consists of 8 things remaining that absolutely have to be done no excuses. After that I get to work from my major list of things to be done. Anyway I digress! So I'm sitting here reading the Cottage message board and I hear. Em's Friend "This is myyyyy most favorite Polly doll!" Em replies "Well I'm their biggest fan and I love them allllll!" "No your not I'm their biggest Fan! Names of boys I've never heard do these belong to Polly or her brothers friends" "Well I have......." Mommy waits with bated breath for lighters to come on or a catfight to begin! Abbi enters the room "We are Polly's biggest fans so you can't play!" The conversation then digresses as Abbi is a bit stinky so they all have to run and tell me she needs her diaper changed! They were so serious and probably would have really gotten into it if a little sister hadn't interrupted! But the bigger question is for me anyway! Where did they ge "I'm Her Biggest Fan" do I say this? Is it from the TV? God knows Dave doesn't say it those are not the words the children would repeat of his! LOL I'm pretty certain I've never said I'm anyones biggest fan unless it had a very strong note of sarcasm and that would be such that I doubt I would say it around the kids. So this must be from TV or maybe a little friend even this little friend I may have missed that part of the conversation.

I so wish I could record all their conversations and play them back. They are so darn cute. Currently they are co-caring for a puppy(he's stuffed no animals will be harmed in my house, this week! I promise!). The puppy needs a nap and doesn't like to be woked up! And he doesn't like hard things and (oops she's changed from a boy to a girl) she never bites me. She wants to sleep by the nightlight! I taught here how to say sorry in doggy language. And on and on it goes! You have to imagine this all in little 5yr old girl voices! I'm a big mush I wonder if I played that way when I was a kid and if my mom played like this and if I'll remember this when I'm old and grey or when they are 15 and smarting off about something! See I'm all sentimental today it's because Abbi turns a year older this week I can't take it they are growing up too fast I want to freeze them in time!

Food Friends Fun!

So the weekend is almost over! Camp was great we had a lot of fun and everyone seemed to enjoy the projects. In addition to the cards below they made an inspiration jar full of inspirational quotes!!!!

Saturday was guests for dinner that ended up taking my entire day to shop and clean? Why I'm not really sure I'm getting slow I think! Anyway Emily wanted to make Worms and Eyeballs from the Rachel Ray kids cookbook for her friends coming over tonight so after 3 stores shopping for FRESH ingredients(looooonnnng story) I finally had everything I needed. Sufice it to say I should not have started at Trader Joe's and I should not have done any food shopping on a Saturday with a 5yr old. After the shopping was complete I had a friend stop by to drop some stuff off which led to a talk fest. Then I had to clean of course for guests. Sooo I finally got the worms and eyeballs started before the guest arrived and the parents loved loved loved it. The kids were just ok with it! We had ordered pizza for the adults but the kids at that and the adults were too full up on noodles(worms) to eat too much pizza. Oh well everyone seemed to have fun! It's a sign of a good night when the kids cry that they don't want to go home at least I think they enjoyed themselves so that was why they didn't want to leave. LOL

Today was quiet for the most part Dave went out to lunch with some old/ex co-workers and I finished up and closed out Sell-A-Bration phew it's over and I didn't really work it but that deadline looming bugs me. This is the first year I didn't do any SAB workshops just classes and camps and it was way more easy going. If you can't tell I'm the worlds greatest sales person! LOL NOT! I just want to have fun and play! The stress of selling makes me not want to do workshops! I'm not good at dealing with that! I like just doing my little camps and classes. No one need buy just come and have fun during our little class! Anyway I did ok this year I don't think I earned any free stamps again first year but to be honest I probably don't really need anymore stamps and everytime I earn a free set out of the catty the set I pick ends up being retired anyway! I made my quarterly Minimum + enough to let me buy an album I'm working on getting all of my layouts in books actually in a book instead of sitting on a table or counter or in a cabinet stacked on top of each other. Which is probably worse for them than anything else!!!

So noooooow we're on to the planning of Abbi's b-day party! Theme Little Einsteins which she loves. But there in no liscenced stuff out for this show until later this year. Later meaning after March 4th. LOL It's ok it's more challenging this way I'm figuring out the food and goodie bags. The cake will be rocket like the invites and decorations are so far just primary colored stuff. Dianne has some great suggestions for food and such I just have to sit down with Dave and figure out what we're doing. He's mad at me right now since I'm making him hang some stuff on the wall and finish the Downstairs bath before we have 15 guests in our house. Now that he's filled some holes in the walls with the most obnoxious color of putty ever! It's almost primer orange Dude you cannot leave that on my walls! Oh well no nap for him this afternoon! He'll deal!

I'm off to cook up some Chicken Divan for dinner! YUM-O can't wait that and closing cerimonies of the Olympics it'll be a cry fest!

SHAMELESS FUNDRAISING - Need a Mag Subscription?

Our friends are raising money for our towns athletic association. It's nice they do it via the internet now. All I did was order 2 mags I really have to stop buying in the stores anyway. Order Here

And out of curiosity has anyone read or subscribe to Reminisce? I think it's all old pics but I'm curiuos what everyone thinks?
My Ode to Dianne! Maybe she can give me some pointers to make this one really pop more! It was fun making all these flowers! now there are six in the background that are punched out of the black paper and centers glued in. The rest are actual punched flowers glued to the card.  Posted by Picasa
Love love this blossom set. It's hard to tell in the pic but the camel part is the card smaller attached to a larger dark green sheet of cardstock. Think I need to trim that ribbon a bit? I do. Overstamped the enitre art in the center with French script! Posted by Picasa
Happy happy! Love the print pattern as always there are so many ways to embellish it! This card is just fun and happy! Technique is watercoloring. Posted by Picasa
Since Sell-A-Bration is coming most of these cards are using Sell-A-Bration sets this one uses 2 different sets and is so super simple 5 min or less! Posted by Picasa
Today is Stamp Camp so here come some of the samples. This one is well very little stamping more patterned paper which is just yummy! The greeting is on the inside. Posted by Picasa
So the play doh is coming out! Not sure how much is in there but as a scrapbooker I had a mind to take a pic which is unusal for me! LOL Posted by Picasa

What's With 2yr olds?

So you know I have 2 children! Emily my angel she's now 5 and was apparently the easiest toddler in the entire world! How do I know this? Because I also have Abbigayle who is less than 2 weeks away from her 3rd Birthday and she's well, like someone elses child. You know when you overhear mom's talking about the latest antics of some what seems out of control child. Well I have that child now.

Yesterday will forever be known as Poopy day. I went downstairs to get some coffee and my not so shiny angel is standing in the middle of the family room next to the sit and spin with what????? That's right, poopy all over her hands, feet, clothes, the Sit and Spin, the floor. She says to me, in her very best disgusted voice, "Mommy I got Poopy..."! Yeah I see that so I get her upstairs and cleaned and washed up and tell her over and over not to touch her poopy to come and get mommy or daddy or a grown up she agrees and proceeds to tell me it's yucky. Well yes it is but what Mommy really wants to know is why it seemed like a good idea to play with it?????? Anyway I mumble the entire time I'm cleaning the Sit and Spin(should have thrown it out) and the floor. All done and it's almost time for school that' s half my day already shot YIKES.

Soooooo fast forward to today. Nice pleasant day we are enjoying our new Cinnamon Rolls from Market Day for breakfast! All is right witht he world I come up here to check my emails and work on stamp camp. Then Emily trucks up the stairs to tell me "Mommy Abbigayle stuck playdoh up her nose and I got one out but can't get the other!!!" WHAT why what god the emergency room here we come! So downstairs Abbi is freaking out and pink goo is running from her nose, so I look up there and I can see it but I cant' get it so after much swabbing and squeezing and crying(which really helps melt the playdoh) I think we're pretty cleaned out. Not really sure she may sneeze hot pink for a few days but whatever it's melting. The really funny part is the nose blowing. I don't recall when I learned how to blow my nose but 2,3,4, even 5 year olds don't quite get it. So I kept holding one side of her nose closed and telling her to blow she just kept blowing air out her mouth into my eyes. Arghhhh. I'm hoping it was mildly traumatic for her and she won't be sticking anything up her nose again! Although for safe measure I told her over and over again don't stick anything in your nose, ears, eyes I almost said mouth but she doesn't really eat much anyway so I stopped myself. LOL

Anyway Yesterday was our busy day. School, Dance, Market Day, then home to get ready for the scrappbookers to come over. We had fun though and I stayed up too late again watching the Olympics and didn't scrap a thing I just moved pics around on paper and looked at some Mags and Catty's Jen and Dianne brought. Oh well! Today is another day!

Got to get busy! My day is flying be it's almost noon I can't believe it!

And She's Gone.

The current fish has passed! Dave informed me last night! Soooo Sad! Once we recover we are going to try another type of fish I think we'll wait till we get back from Nashville though!

So Em is sick this morning she can't hold down food. Poor kid I don't know what to do for her and she's sick of me asking! She finally fell asleep! A little nap will maybe help?

Abbs is bored she lost her playmate! She's trying to enterain herself but I must play puzzle with her every so often! Em did try a bit ago she asked if she could play it didn't last long though and she was back laying down.

Well it's 27 here today! Wooo by Wed we are supposed to get into the 40's such a range of temps in the last week or so! From 60's to 3(below zero with wind) and back up to 40 it's no wonder everyone is getting sick!

Hope everyone is doing ok! Have a great Monday!

It's A Warming Trend!

That's right we made it over 15 degrees today! Quiet day I'm working on Abbi's invites late but this short month throws me off! Had to run to Karens to get blades for my cutter mid project but I was able to drop of daubers to Ana for her what are going to be Wonderful swap cards! Stopped real quick at the Library sale and for $5 I found 4 art books to tear stuff out of for the party a couple of foreign language books for collage and some really old sheet music very cool! Later we did our monthly trip to Sams YIKES Sunday is a madhouse!

Yesterday I finished my swap cards I posted them below! That GIANT exlamation makes me HAPPY it's part of a set of punctuation from Stamped In Ink available at the Cottage,! Between that, the cool ribbon, beads and my rare and extremely coveted paisley stamp this card is my current favorite!

Friday's box class went well except Jen B got a touch of food poisining earlier and couldn't make it! Hopefully she can come Wed and work on it with Paula!

My downstairs is clean clean clean and by that I mean my Dining Room table is cleared off! All of my scrap stuff is where it belongs the scrap room! My flowers from Valentines Day are in the center of the table(in a vase of course) and I'm happy everytime I walk through the room!

Been watching the Olympics of course and working on Camp projects for next Friday! Can't wait for everyone to see what I have in store! I'll post some peaks tomorrow! Woo!
This is a peak at my Swap card for this month! Love love that exclamation by Sue Oren at Stamped In Ink also by her are the ribbon stamp at the top and the Fluer De Lis(sp?) The Paisly is a retired SU background and the words are SU. I made extras for me!  Posted by Picasa
This is the pull out for the card. I used the Stamped In Ink exclamation and the Kissing technique. At the bottom I also used a Stamped In Ink ribbon stamp the same as the one on the top of the card. The beads are Magic Scraps and the ribbon is from J Caroline. Posted by Picasa
This is my FAV! The Faux Linen Technique! I of course love anything involving Chalk Ink! Again Super simple but fabulous depth! Here I used Aged to Perfection, Label Classics and Sincere Salutations! Posted by Picasa
The Faux Silk technique here with Best Blossoms. We will do this first tonight as it takes awhile to dry but it's so easy and so worth it! Posted by Picasa
This is what's on the lid of the box it's full measurement is over 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 so this is much larger than it seems here. Used the watercolor crayons with Petal Prings for the flowers and Letterpress Alphabet for CARD. I switched around the papers for everyones boxes as I think the Craft looks better with the larger border but you get the idea! Posted by Picasa
This is one of the divider cards from the inside of the box. I've used the water color crayons with the Easy Elegance set for the flowers and Day to Day Flexible Phrases for the month stickers. The Month with the dates I created in my word program. Posted by Picasa

Where did the Week go?

I can't believe it's been a week since I posted last where did it go? Lets see????

Well we've been fighting the colds in our house for over a week now. Everyone seems to be quieting down although I'm knocking wood everytime I think something like that!

Then there was Valentines Day and the class valentines(they had to write everyones name out and their own on each valentine YIKES) School Party and the lead up to prep the actual day then our little night at home that night! It was nearly 60 degrees here on V-day which was amazing!

Wed. night was scrapping but the icy rain hit and everyone went home to be on the safe side at least the plows were out this time!

I'm in Olympic Zone! I love the Olympics I watch it all even if it's a sport I'm not interested in! Then I cry when show the athletes on the podium while they play their countries anthem. It doesn't even have to be TEAM USA I cry no matter what! Although this year all the injuries are taking their toll on my watching I have to turn the channel when someone gets hurt! Way to creepy for me! I can't wait for Freestyle sking this weekend though! Way entertaining!

Last night Dave and I watched North By Northwest which was nice. He even shared his Valentines Ice cream with me! The girls currently have Herbie Fully Loaded which means Emily walks around explaining everything that Herbie can and does to us. Oh and she's currently obsessed with Paper Airplanes and giving you blow by blows of what they did.

Tonight is my Card Organizer box class! I'm excited I'm all done with my kits and I've even scanned the samples! I'll post them in a bit. We're also doing 2 technique cards both from my fabulous faux fabric technique file. A Faux Linen and A Faux Silk technique. Way fun! Everyone is going to leave tonight with their boxes and be able to organize all their cards from now on! Now I still haven't decided what snacks to serve! And you know me it's all about the food! How can this be???? And now it's like 18 degrees and I don't want to go to the store! I'm lazy! Maybe I'll do some tomato bacon quiches and something else! Hmmmm must check out the freezer!

This weekend should be quiet I need to go to the bank and we might get together with friends. Em has today and Monday off so it will be a long weekend for us without anything pressing to do! WOO! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Hopefully I'll post again before next Friday! LOL
Loved Christi's sketch from the Super Bowl Crop over at Croppers Cottage! I chose to use it for February's Week 1 Challenge to use doodles on a white background! I'm a little behind.....oops it's week 2 but I'll catch up! Posted by Picasa

I'm the IDIOT Parent

Yes it's true! I hate when my children are unhappy! This whole fish thing is killng me. I had already instructed Dave to buy a new one on his way home but later they discovered the other fishy wasn't just sleeping in his bowl. OMG the screaming and sobbing. I was waiting for someone to break into AMAZING GRACE at any moment, throw themselves on the bowl and wail as we tried to pull them off. This is how I remember funerals on my Grandma's side of the family as a child! Very reminiscent of that. Anyway back to my idocy! Dave calls to warn me when he's close to home and I inform him that I've finally gotten them calmed down Emily is laying in her bed and won't speak and Abbi just needed lots of hugs, but that they know the fish didn't make it. You do remember we've only had these fish since about 7:30pm this past Friday right probably later we stood in line for a long time to pick up our precious cargo? So he comes in with the new fish and puts the bag in the water to bring it to the right temp. Later while making dinner I look closely at our new addition. It's a girl fish, go ahead ask me how I know this?************* That's right it's the most pregnant fish I've ever seen in my entire life! So now in my effort to not have sad distraught children I am going to have a million little goldfish! AHHHHHHHHHHHH! I have a million fish questions now what do I do when she has these babies how will I know will they all survive(not in out house I'm sure unles their a special breed that eats cake or whatever Abbi is having). Do I buy a giant tank or can I take them to a Fishy shelter to be given new fishy homes if they do make it how long before I can seperate them from their mommy. Ok granted the likelyhood of the mom fish making it the end of her pregnancy is slim as the lifespan in our house is average like 2 days. But I am worried we can see how my luck is going on this can't we??????????? Any fishy experts out there?
Here is the Goldfish and the girls creativity with the PlayDoh. Gotta love the Elvis hair on Em's Doh Doh! Posted by Picasa

And then there was ONE or not!

Well I've been meaning to post this since this weekend. We lost one of our Fishies on Sunday and the tears and the screaming were more than Mommy could stand for one little fish! That was only with us for about a day and a half! Then low and behold I went downstairs a bit ago to refill my coffee and low and behold the second one has bit the dust. Now it he's at the bottom of the bowl and I guess he looks like he's sleeping except for the mouth wide open in shock if you look closely. FREAKY! Anyway I called Dave and instructed him to stop and buy another one on the way home. He accused me of pulling a Sandy! We'll switch them out after he gets home! Hopefully this one won't die quite so soon! We are very unlucky with fish! Can you tell? I'm not spending 29 cents a day everyday but a couple more times we will. So I'm hoping no one will notice until after the new one is in place!

On to more pleasant news! The Super Bowl Crop was a ton of fun! It was crazy busy especially without Dave here! The girls got some playdoh and new color books to keep them occupied! They were very good considering!

Dave got home fairly early about 8pm we were suprised I expected him in the middle of the night but he was able to put the girls to bed.

Yesterday I woke up with a cold ick! Rested off and on trying to shake the cough and such! Still have it today not as bad as yesterday it seems. Gotta go take my ACES!

Hope everyone is healthy and having a great day!

It's Friday WOO!

And Emily can stop asking me after this evening when we are going to the Fun Fair at school! Thank goodness! LOL She's cute but come on! So this morning she was so sad she came into my room almost in tears that the Fun Fair was cancelled. Now I was half asleep and was trying to think how she would know this. Did someone call and I didn't get the phone first. And why would anyone call me and tell me the Fun Fair was cancelled then I decided I was just way to tired to figure it out so I asked her why she thought it was cancelled? "Because it's raining Mommy(exhasperated sigh) and they have to cancel it if it's Raining!" I tried to explain that the Fun Fair was in the gym not outside, thinking to myself it's like 20 degrees outside I'm not standing outside! She said no the gym was set up for something else so I had to explain there were two gyms and they were probably using both like the Fall Fest when the DJ was in one gym and the other stuff was in the other gym. Phew crisis averted. On to baking the cake for the Cake Walk! I baked the 2 layers last night then put one layer on my cardboard round this morning while I waited for my frosting to set up. Fast forward 30 min later and a few messages read and responded to over at the Cottage. I go downstairs to refill my coffee and find this picked at, like a bird was sitting on my counter cake!!!! I have two birds you know they are little and very effective! ARRRRGGGH So I ended up taking a 1 layer cake oh well! At least now I won't have to win my own cake back on the cakewalk I can try for something else that hasn't been tasted in my house! LOL

So Dave called from TN this morning they made it there and were going to go see the battlefield and other local historic sites before finding thier camp! The other half of the caravan was leaving early early this morning from WI to meet up with them hopefully before dark so they can find the camp!

There was a moment today when I thought we were going to get a blizzard Emily was screaming from the living room that the Snowflakes were HUGE and they were like the size of golf balls. But it quickly turned to rain! Because it isn't really 20 here I exagerate whenever there is the chance I might have to stand outside for any prolonged period! It's actually 43 here!

So tomorrow we are all getting haircuts and then I get to go take a camera class with Ana! I'm excited to learn some of the details about my camera! LOL I've only had it 7 months. Maybe if I can learn enough I can add some better photos here!

Have a great weekend if your scrapping Sunday head over to Croppers Cottage for the Super Bowl Crop there will be lots of challenges to get your juices creative flowing! Or just come and cheer the teams on!
