Clothes Pin Dolls The Begining

Some cute ornaments I made for a gift exchange.

1st step Base Coating in Flesh Colored Paint

Draw the hair on with pencil.
 Paint hair on.
OOOOPS one girlie got very tired and fell face first into the black paint while I was doing faces.
Paint the faces on and lie down so they can dry and not fall over...........  DUH

Ok this is the process of  putting together the bodies.  At this point I choose papers and ribbons.  More coming tomorrow.

Another 50th Wedding Anniversary

The second 50th Wedding Anniversary Card I was asked to make.   Digging more into my fancy paper flower stash.    I love the way it turned out.  The bow got a little curled when I slid it into the box.  OOOOPS!

50th Wedding Anniversary Card

Good Morning.   This is one of the custom orders I've had as of late.  After creating one of my Fancy Wedding Cards for a friend I was asked to create a 50th Anniversary Card.  Well actually 2 but I will wait to post the second until I'm sure the recipient has received it.  Anyway I dug into my stash of fancy papers, fancy flowers and gold embellishments and got to work.  This is the result a 6x6 easel card.  Hope you like it.  I did include an envelope but I put everything in a plastic box.  It would be hard to send it in an envelope.
More Custom Orders to come.

This is a Custom Order I do every year for a Client.  She works at a Pre-School and the students decorate pillow cases with their hand prints for Holiday gifts for their families.  The client wrote the poem.  I just spruce it up a bit and she ties it onto the package with fancy ribbon.

Today was the last day of a busy busy weekend for us. My Mom and Joel arrived on Thursday to celebrated Christmas and spend the weekend.   Dave's Birthday was Friday.   Saturday Emily had a Dance  recital mid-day on Saturday and then a Voice recital in the evening on Saturday.  The kids spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Saturday night and Today early they did the Gingerbread house with Grandma.  Phew.  I'll share pictures later this week I hope.

Only one week of school left then they are out for 2 weeks.  EEEK.

Quick & Easy Class Today

Today is my last class of the year.  I'm teaching Quick & Easy Holiday Cards at Craft Fancy.  These use mostly Authentique papers and various dies, Spellbinders, MFT Die-Namics, Savvy and Sizzix.
They really are Quick & Easy.

I'm a little sad and a little excited to start designing Valentines(sounds crazy when I say it)...... The January Class/Event Calendar is out at Craft Fancy be sure to check it out online or in the store.

Hope everyone is having an awesome week!

Ice Princess Copic Coloring

For the card set and tag above I used Copic Markers to color the MFT Ice Princess stamp.  Below is  a step out of that coloring.  I chose my colors from my patterned paper and then used my swatch ring "ring of fire" to match it to markers.

Hopefully this all is as clear as mud.  These step outs are a work in progress for me.

The skirt is stamped and cut out from patterned paper.

The only thing I did not include are the skates I added a little W1 to the skates and C0 to the blades.  They barely requried coloring.  The shadows on the complete images are done with B0000 and C0.

Hopefully this was helpful to someone.  Have a great day.

Thank You Miss Bailey

Miss Bailey was so kind to give Abbi the help she needed in her Ice Skating lessons to help her pass on to Level 5.  We are so proud of Abs for how hard she worked to get her turns and cross overs.

I used the Ice Princess stamp from My Favorite Things and made a set of note cards with this adorable tag for Bailey.   I guessed that purple was her favorite color based on her blade guards.  Hope I was was right everything is very purple.  I cut out her name from Mirror Card the Memory Box Die Set Parker Upper and Lower.  The paper is Memory Box.   I also used the Snowflakes Cuttlebug embossing folder.   I am almost sure the stamps and dies came from our LSS Craft Fancy of course.

I know I've been a bit MIA lately.  But I swear I have been working hard I have lots of photos to edit and share of all of my recent projects I am just working through them.  One of the step outs I have is the coloring of these cards with the Copic Markers.  I have also finished all of my custom orders and have pictures to share.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
