Bombshell Muse Monday - Homeward Bound

I'm excited to be working with this month's featured Bombshell stamp set, Homeward Bound.  It's brand spankin' new rubber for me, just got mine.  I got it all mounted onto cling foam and put in it's neat case.  I love that when you get a new stamp set.  Anyhoo I digress cause I'm sure you want to know what I did here.  I used the Texture Shine Stencil from Memory box for the background with distress ink.  The Ship and title was colored with Copic markers.  The ship and title were then cut out and popped up on top of the card.

This is Week 4 of Bombshell Stamps' Muse Monday for June. All month long, we have been featuring projects made with the super-fun set, Homeward Bound. Remember, this set is on sale only for the month of June, so if you don't have it in your collection yet, now is the time to buy it!

Garden Update

This is my eight ball zucchini it's pretty huge compared to where it was a couple of weeks ago.  I'm not sure you can see it but the cucumbers to the right of it are wrapping their way around the zucchini.  They're in love.
Some flowers.  The pot to the left of them is cilantro and to the right is sage and then thyme.
Can you see all of our green strawberries?  I took this Friday and since then there are even more.

We have green beans already coming out.
Our carrot tops being overshadowed by the eight ball zucchini.  If you look closely the little white cup behind the plant is what I got the zucchini plant in.
This is my lettuce it's small but pretty!

A Little Gift For our Latest Guest

So yesterday and today Debby Schuh was teaching at the store.  This is the gift I created for her.
Most everything was done on the Silhouette.
I used cardstock and BoBunny Double Dots.
Everything was inked using Distress Inks.

I work all day during the class which should be fun.  Can't wait!  Have a great day!

June 2014 Bombshell Hump day Hop: Red Carpet Ready

It's time again for the Bombshell Blog Hop this month our theme is Red Carpet Ready!  I had fun with this one.  I colored the Mermaid from Mermaid Treasure and the car from Speed Shop with Copic Markers.  I then embossed the stars from Tattoo Backgrounds in the background(hee hee).  The red carpet was created with Distress Ink and post-it notes.  The background color was also done with Distress Inks.  The stars are cut out of Gold Mirror Card with a Memory Box Die - Star Garlands.   I love how the colors came out and I love the sparkle on this card though it's hard to see in the picture.  Be sure to stop by Alaine's blog after this and if you've gotten side tracked along the way here are all the links to the talented artists in this months hop!

Sweet Cherries

Birdwithcherry
Good Morning! I'm over at the Memory Box Blog today.    It's that time of year when the birdies in my yard build nests in all of our fruit trees and wait for the fruit to ripen.  This year they are using my new cocoa liners of my hanging baskets making things a bit messy but they are getting excited for their reward to come.  This card reminds me of how Happy the they will all be when they are reaping their rewards.
I used quite a few Dies for this one.  Dies used are the new Sweet and Sour Cherries - 98989 and new Wicker Panel - 98984 also used are the Gold Finch - 98756, Woodland Branch - 98187 and the Happy Cloud - 98893.  The Cherries and the Happy were cut from cardstock and then colored with Clear Glaze Pen.  The Wicker Panel was cut from Kraft paper and inked with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  Hope you like it.
Thank you so much for stopping by hope your having a great day!

Playing a Little Catch Up

Wendy Vecchi came to the store to teach at the very end of May and this is a gift I created for her to thank her for coming!
All of the product is hers except the Graphic 45 paper the little ferny die cut and the twill.
There is a lot of stamping, stenciling and inking.
The frame I created with my Silhouette and black cardstock.

Sorry if these pictures are not so hot I had to take them with my phone.  I took my camera with me to the store but it didn't have a memory card in it when I got there.  OOPSIE!  That is of course not the first time I've done this.

Have a wonderful day!

June CARS Swap - Sketch Card

Time for a C.A.R.S. (Chicago Area Rubber Stampers) post.  For this month we were given a sketch to use to create our swap cards with.   This one came out super soft and pastely(a word?) not really me but it was fun to play around with some softer colors for a bit.  The bright bold colors will be back again I'm sure!  While it was fun I kept wanting to add more to make it pop.

Can't wait to see what everyone else did and our program tonight is Washi Tape.  Emily and I have been playing and she's been showing me tons of things she has found on Pinterest to do with the Washi Tape so I can't wait to learn more to add to our list of fun things.

Have a great day!

2 birds 1 stone

We had a busy weekend and I had a lot of projects to create so I kinda combined them.  Today's Card of The Week over at Craft Fancy and one of my Discovering Die Cuts class cards for Tuesday.   I have a bit of guilt but with company and parties and graduation there just wasn't time to do more.
Hope you like it!  Have a great Monday!

Weekend Update!

8th Grade Graduation for Emily!   Grandma Gayle came in for the weekend and Grandma & Grandpa B came over for the Graduation Ceremony.  EEEK look at all those kids below.  This was in our High School's Gym and can you believe it only took 1hr(well a bit less) for the entire thing....  Very Organized!
Earlier in the day My Mom, Emily and I went and picked out this amazing cake from Ambrosia!   It tasted as wonderful as it looked!  We had a Pizza and Cake party after the Graduation!
The next day we went out and about with Grandma Gayle and had a wonderful time!  Amazing weather for the weekend.

Lastly today is my 16th Wedding Anniversary.  It seems like no time at all has passed.  My sweet husband got me 16 roses one for each year and 2 pink ones for my girls.  I am the luckiest girl in the world blessed with an Amazing Husband and to Beautiful Girls!

There was more mostly flower and yard stuff but I'll save that for another post I have to share my very cool Mother's Day gift Dave made for me.  It's finally finished and all of my flowers and veggies and plants are planted.

Deep Deep In The Ocean

  Deepoceanlobster
Good Morning,  I'm over on the Memory Box Blog with a New Card using New Dies Today!
It's time to take the plunge into the ocean with some of the latest release dies as well as some fun must have stencils and dies.  Today I created a FUN card with the Deep Ocean Lobster 98986 and Bursting Berry Vine Border 98981 which I thought resembled seaweeds and ocean plants.  First I inked some Sky cardstock with Distress Ink(Tumbled Glass) and the Bubbles Texture Stencil 88574 then I added the Bursting Berry Vine(cut out of a piece of cardstock covered in Distress Ink Shabby Shutters) over that adhering just at the bottom so it wasn't quite stuck down all over.  Then I cut out some of the Exquisite Coral 98753 from pink paper and inked it all over with Vintage Photo Distress Ink using the sponge dauber to create some texture  these get tucked into the Vine.  Now comes the Deep Ocean Lobster cut from Cranberry Distressed Dots his claws are foam taped and the bottom of him is tucked into the Vine.  Lastly we have the School of Fish 98567 which I covered in Distress Ink again using the sponge dauber to create texture.  Oooh I almost forgot the stickles bubbles from the fish and in the fine for added texture!
Doesn't it just want to make you go diving?  Have a Wonderful Day.
