Inktense Coloring with Bombshell Stamps

Good Morning, I'm over at the Bombshell Blog today.  I've been playing more with the Inktense Pencils and I love the affect they give to your coloring.  It's like painting with pencils.   For this project I started with the Speed Shop Stamp Set and my blue and purple pencils along with a few greys as well as a few accent colors.  I stamped the car with Archival ink to begin.
First I layed down a layer of light colors these will become the high lights.  Here we are using blues for the car exterior and red for the interior.  The chrome and frame areas are grey.
Next we add darker shadows.  Be gentle with this the color will spread.  And once it's dry we can always add more the color is permanent though after we add water so it cannot be taken away.
Now with the water brush blend out from the dark to light again be careful not to add too much water so it doesn't bleed.
With the purple and lavenders begin building a background.  I used dark greys for under the car.
this is after a couple of layers of color and blending with the water brush to build up the deep purple.
With a white pen and a Wink of Stella pen add some sparkles to the chrome areas and the skull emblem as well as a few stars in the background.
I love how it turned out though the sparkle from the Wink of Stella is hard to see in the photograph.  It's Awesome in person though and not to glittery for a masculine card.
I hope you get a chance to play with the Inktense Pencils they are so much different then the other mediums I've used and a joy to work with.  Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Bombshell Cowboys & Indians Humpday Hop - August

It's that time of the month again.  Time for  a Bombshell Blog Hop!  This months theme is Cowboys & Indians!  I chose to use the Digital Stamp by Bombshell Indian Princess.   I had to break open the new Inktense Pencils that arrived on my doorstep yesterday for my birthday.(Thank You Thank You!)  So I colored her up and fussy cut her out.  I used Floral Ovals and Large Oval dies from Spellbinders to set her down into the card surrounded by an embossed sheet of Kraft Paper using the Basket Weave folder from Darice I chalked it up after I embossed it.  I also used the feather dies from MFT Die-Namics which I also chalked.   Love love love how she turned out.  I probably should have cut her out before I colored my fingers mussed a bit of the coloring but for the first go round with these Awesome pencils not bad at all.  And considering I didn't want to remove them from the plastic because they were so pretty I'm happy!
Thank you so much for stopping by!  Head on out to the other blogs on the list for some more inspiring Bombshell Art!
