Talk Like a Pirate or Be a Pirate?

It's Talk Like a Pirate Day. How did you celebrate? I went and worked at the Craft Fancy Make & Take Day. We had fun and the customers had fun I think. I got some new Graphic 45 paper new Schlosser Design stamps and new Impression Obsession stamps. It was definitely a good day!

Ok so for Talk Like A Pirate Day I made this pirate card using Odd Bird Planet stamps and Pink Paislee paper.

Since I was telling Dave and the girls it was a Holiday and they were running around saying ARGHHH. The girls not Dave(he thought I was crazy!). Emily decided to put on this get up with the eye patch and a headscarf! She's my little girlie pirate! Had I known I would have made a girl pirate card!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!!

Gift Card Holder

Well it's Tuesday! Monday was nutty but we got everything done....I think? I woke up this morning with what seems like a little cold going to kick it today! Yesterday I created a beautiful treasury over at Etsy called Indian Summer. Totally has all of my favorite colors and textures of fall! Some of the necklaces are amazing.

OOOH above is the gift card holdery I made for the Chicago Area Rubber Stampers meeting. The image is from Tim Holtz I colored it with Copic and highlighted each color with stickles.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Sally Jean

Did you know Sally Jean did an entire blog post on my current favorite color. She found the most amazing things.

Got Some New Stamps

So for my Birthday Emily and Abbi picked out some new stamps for me from one of my favorite sites MadRat Rubber I mounted them immediately so I could start stamping! I love their Alice images and now they have Wizard of Oz Images here is Jack I got a few of him these are only 2. I can't wait to color him with my Copics! He'll be so stinkin cool colored and aged! They did a good job picking out things they knew Mommy would love!

So today is Labor Day is everyone having a great holiday? We had a nice weekend. The girls went to Promised Land with friends Saturday and came back all sugared up apparently and then had pizza with their friends here and ran around screaming like little girls do! 4 of them some in dress up clothes running around wild. Yesterday we did an outing to B&N where everyone got a book and I got to use my gift card from Paula. Then it was on to Bahama Breeze for my b-day lunch with the kids & Dave(I know it's late but we've been busy). MMMMMM I love their Lemonade with a shot of vodka and that salmon tostada. I was a happy happy girl. Last night the kids went to a friends house to trade Littlest Pet Shops. Today the girls had Waffles for breakfast in honor of National Waffle Week, Dave is off to a friends cookout(FARBS Only HA). Later we're going out with his parents for dinner. It's been a pleasant weekend with beautiful weather nothing at all to complain about! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

September Begins

Busy busy week. It's like the beginning of each week so far something has exploded and turned me upside down on my head. Takes me until Friday to right myself lately. My Birthday week was great. Mom and Joel came up and we did lots of fun stuff! They had Mia and Bri with them so the Kids were in HEAVEN. The girls stayed the night in the RV with Grandma and Grandpa soooo exciting. There was quite a bit of sobbing when they left but we had a day to recover before school on Monday. Now the kids are in school and getting the hang of things. We had Parent Orientation so we could get the hang of things. Dance schedules are set and by next week will be in full swing. The September Craft Fancy schedule is out and I'm teaching 2 Technique classes one this Saturday and one Thursday the 17th in the evening. I'm also a lucky lucky girl I get to help out with the C.A.R.S. group and the Chicago Craft Collective. I have also signed up for some classes since it's always good to learn.

The card above was from my last camp using the new Stampin Up Medallion Stamp which I am totally in love with. We also distressed and pealed paper for the center very textured fun technique.

Hope everyone has a great day!
Well the week is well underway. An entire week with the kids in school. What am I going to do? Upload to Etsy! HA Got lots of new things coming this week. Yesterday I added 2 new sets of Alice In Wonderland Tags. Today I'm going with JACK!

The kids seem to be happy with school. It's hard these first couple of weeks lots of rules lots of testing etc. And for them it's the height of allergy season so we're fighting that! But dance has begun. At the studio this week and at Willow next week. They are excited about that. Em took her first Ballet class in a really long time last night, she loved it. Speaking of dance Abbi had been invited to Audition for the Nutcracker at Prairie Center For the Arts. We got the call Sunday she didn't get in. It's all good, having to be out of school for some performances and rehearsals and running right at the holidays would have made me even crazier(no one needs that). We were excited to be asked though since it was her first ever Audition and it was by invite only.

What else. Oooh the cards above those I made to slip in the kids lunch boxes once in awhile to give them a little smile. The lace paper from KI with the apples is awesome. I printed the greetings on the computer and punched them out. I have 2 left so sometime this week I'll sneak them in. I also got sandwich cutters from William Sanoma over the weekend. And wouldn't you know it I totally forgot until after I had the lunches packed! Lesson Learned never make lunches BEFORE Coffee!
