Get your gear ready!

Off to school they go! I tried really hard not to cry this morning when I took them to school. I don't know why I get so choked up on the first day of school? They were so excited they didn't even know I was there. I have to go to work now and then it's off to pick up my Mom she'll be getting to her hotel around the time I get off work! The girls can't wait to see her! I can't wait to see her! Ok so I'll probably be away from the blog with all the partying that will be going on around here this weekend.

I wish I had been more proactive about making gifties for the teachers for the first day this year? I didn't have time so I've resurrected this photo from last year! Gotta find time to do something nice for the teachers.

Back to School!

Well it's that time again! We've been busy getting ready for school both here and in the shop. The girls start school this Wednesday. Meet the teacher is tomorrow and they are so excited they can't stand it. Plus my Mom is coming on Wed. so they are even more excited than normal. It's like a windfall for them. I'm lucky I get 3 days off this week for my birthday and to spend time with my Mom. She flies home on Saturday.

I love the lunch notes above I've added them to my shop. Cute Cute Cute. They could even be used as embellishments on a scrapbook page with perfect primary colors.

For anyone in your life. Just added this little bag with matching notecards to my Etsy store today. Still working on 100 items! Getting closer and closer.

Working Working

A couple of weeks ago I did a physical inventory of my Etsy stuff and reorganzied my Etsy filing system. I decided I needed at least 100 items in my shop. So I've been working and photographing and I have begun to add new items to my shop! Working on getting to 100. Here is a lovely Thinking of You card that was added today. Getting a little closer!

Oooh our Craft Collective meeting was cancelled for tonight in case you didn't hear. I'll be at work though come by for a visit!

Getting Ready For School

From my Back To School Fun class coming up this Saturday! We'll be making this and filling it with cute coordinating goodies!

Power came back up last night around 7:30ish! Phew! Thank goodness!

More getting ready for school got some new clothes for the girlies today. We really only need a couple more things! The girls are getting excited!

Lights Out

OOOP no picture today. Just as soon as I finished my Quick &; Easy class today and everyone was standing at the register in line to pay "POP"...... "BOOOM" the power goes out. ARGGHHHHHHH. At least we got everyone rang up and on their way. But we couldn't ring with credit cards since we were on battery back up on the registers. EEEK Thank goodness for Battery Back up though all the ladies got all the stuff they wanted. Everyone in the plaza was wandering about. The ladies at the bank brought their chairs outside to hang out and Starbucks is closed. Phew power still not up!

Oh well Dianne, the girls and I went out to lunch across the street! Olive Garden had power! Salad and breadsticks for all!

OK how hot and humid can it get? I realize I wonder this every single summer but I hate walking out of the house and barely being able to breath from the humidity! Ok enough about that on to the weekend gonna start cleaning out my scrap room this weekend.

Pretty Bird!

For my Quick & Easy Card class. Love the simplicity yet detail. Just embossed the image with Zing White embossing powder. Cut some circles layered added a ribbon and some rhinestones. Doesn't get any quicker or easier than that! Of course that ribbon makes it really amazing!

So today is the last day of summer dance! What will get girls do for the next 2 weeks until it starts up again? Em will continue to practice her high kicks I suppose!
