Greeting Card Gift Box - Tutorial

Box Tutorial - This box is from the Bus Tour Make & Take.  Everyone that came to the store for the Bus Tour at Craft Fancy last  month made this and a couple of cards to slip into it!  We had a lot of requests for the instructions so here goes.

Start with one piece of Cardstock 8 3/4" x 7 1/2"  Score all four sides at 1 1/2".

Next cut a piece of Patterned Paper at 7 7/8" x 6 5/8"  Score all four sides at 1".

Fold on all the score lines on each piece.  Then on each corner of both pieces snip one side up to the score line.  Remember only one side of each corner square.

Add double stick tape to each corner square on both the base and lid of the box.

These squares will be adhered to the inside side panels.

Both Pieces are now complete.

Embellish and decorate as desired.    This box holds A2 Cards and Envelopes and would make a perfect gift!

Todays Folds Class

This is the class I am teaching today at Craft Fancy.  I thought this BoBunny paper is so super cute!  The colors are a lot of fun! I used a few Lawn Fawn sets all of which had Happy Birthday in them, and a few Memory Box Dies and my new Bow die from My Favorite Things.  There are a few punches thrown in for good measure.  I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I did while creating them.

Hope everyone has an Awesome Day.  Happy Full Moon!  Thanks so much for wandering by today.

April Bombshell Blog Hop

 Happy Wednesday Everyone!
My Entry for the April Blog Hop over at Bombshell Stamps.  We were inspired by this Color Challenge:

I used Mermaid Treasure and colored her with Copics.  The window was cut with Spellbinders Labels 22, Big Splash Border by Memory Box and the Grassland Border by Poppy Stamps.  I stamped the fishies on the background in Versamark and stamped and colored the flowers cut them out and popped them up.  Then I added lots of Stickles because every Mermaid needs some glitter!

Ok you've seen my card.  Be sure to visit everyone's entries and check out the AMAZING things they have created!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!  I really appreciated it!  Hope everyone is having a Happy Hump Day!

A Couple Of Challenges for Tuesday!

So I'm playing along with a couple of challenges today.   First is the Lawnscaping Challenge #56 - Inspired By.  To be inspired by something and share that inspiration piece along with the projects created from it.
So for me it's the Pottery Barn Kids Catalog and their new outdoor toys!  Very Preppy Very Clean and Simple Very Fresh!  I especially love the Beach Balls!

The Second Challenge I am entering these for is Childs Play over at Daring Card Makers.  These cards are of course perfect for kids boy or girl!  I love that about them!

The cards are mostly cardstock and of course Lawn Fawn.  I used Critters In the Sea, So Much To Say and Chevron Backdrops.  I colored both images with Copic and a little Sakura Glaze Pen to make them shine.  For the Whale I also used some Doodlebug Paper Fruit Stand.  And on the Turtle Card I used a Scallop Border punch by SU.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope everyone is having a great week so far.  The rain has returned here but hopefully this is the end for awhile!

Lightening HOT - Playdate Cafe Challenge #178

My Card for the Playdate Cafe Challenge - Lightening HOT #178 using the inspiration above.  Loved playing with these bright colors given the amount of gloomy rainy weather we are having.  It's like a burst of sunshine!  I chose to use my Bombshell Angel Stamp Set.  I did some stamp masking and used a couple of stencils to add colors with sponges and the bright pink, yellow and grey.  I then outlined the flowers I masked and did some outline lines on the entire piece.  For a little shine I added the hot pink rhinestones in the center. I added some glaze pen to her lips and some FABULOUS shiny paper to the card base.  The yellow silk ribbon and black cardstock just make everything pop!

Thanks for popping by to see whats new!  Hope everyone is dry and safe!

It's Raining It's Pouring - Literally - Bombshell April Sketch

It has been a stormy week here.  So this card is somewhat appropriate.  Well It's way to cold for bathing suits but the umbrella is a must for going outside now.  As long as you don't let the wind catch it!
This card was created for the April Bombshell Sketch above Kathi posted over at the Bombshell Blog.  I used the Bombshell Angel Stamp Set  and an Umbrella and Raindrop Die to embellish her.  The Angel is colored and cut out and pieced together.  I had to do her right hand twice and glue one on top of the other to maker her look like she is holding the umbrella.  It's hard to see in the photo but the raindrops, umbrella handle, and flowers are all glazed and shiny.

Oh and I won some Bombshell Bucks from the Roving Prize Patrol(Alaine Thank You for your kind comments) for my Bombshell Angel Card in March.  Very Very Exciting!

Happy Wednesday!  Hope you all have a great day and stay dry!  Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Lawnscaping Challenge -

My Challenge Card for Lawnscaping Challenge No. 55  Embossing on your project.

I embossed the cardstock with the Asian M-Bossabilities from Spellbinders cut a circle out and layered it with foam tape on top of gold Mirror card.  The Fortune Cookie from Good Fortune was stamped colored with copic and cut out along with the fortune this was then layered with foam tape as well.  I tied a bit of Black Ribbon as well.  Hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by!

My March Just 1 Swap

This was my March Just 1 swap card.  I wanted to use some of my new toys I hadn't had a chance to play with.  I chose to do the Tissue Tape Technique which is layered on the white behind the jar.  For the most part everything is Lawn Fawn.  But on the tissue tape I used 2 big background stamps from Stampin Up.

So I love my Technique Junkies but for years I've not done a ton with them.  I had them laying all over my craft room and book shelf.  Every once in awhile I would join the Just 1 swap and make a card using a technique or sometimes for a swap I would find a newsletter and do something.   A few weeks ago I totally organized all of them into a binder.   I'm missing a couple which I'm sure I may run across at some point, I'm sure they are in safe places.....  Then I signed up for the Just One and made this fun card using the Technique.  More exciting the new newsletter came this week and I have already tried one of the techniques on my swap card for Thursday.  I am very excited.

Anyway I'm off to a crop all day tomorrow.  So I'm kitting and packing everything I need to work on so hopefully I'll be productive?    Hope everyone is having a FABULOUS Weekend!  We are off to do a little shopping for Funday Saturday Abbi has called it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Bombshell's April Pinup Challenge - Monochromatic Tags

These are my entry for  Teresa Abajo, Bombshells April's Pin Up Challenge.  I used the Bombshell Angel set and created 2 tags.  An Angel Tag and a Devil Tag.  In appropriate Colors of course.....
Patterned Papers by Carta Bella - Beautiful Moments
Patterned Paper MME - Moments

Each image was colored with copics and I used 6x6 pads for all of the patterned paper.  The white tag was much harder to photograph but I really love the way these turned out!  Be sure to play along it's fun making tags!  And we could all use a little fun!

Have a great Friday!
