New Anchor Tags - Etsy Shop

Good Morning.  I've added a couple of variations of these Anchor tags in Blue and Red the Etsy Shop.  I love how they turned out with the pinked circles and the red, white and blue twine.
These can be done in larger quantities upon request.
The red and blue ones are my favorite.  Is it okay to have favorites?

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look I hope all is well with everyone in these crazy times.

August Planner Pages

Just learning this type of planning.  I really use this more of a journal than planner as I'm just writing about each day after the fact instead of the traditional planner.  For appointments and stuff I just keep it in my phone as that is always with me.  But I love having a place I can go back to and see what happened that day at work or at home.  It also gives me a place to keep my meal plans which keeps me from getting fast food so much and keeps me aware of what I need to get.  I love planning out meals ahead.  I really started in July but didn't take a ton of photos so I will start here.

Week 1 of August is a green theme.  I really wanted to use the big pathos leaves.  Plus here I got some new pens at Target from the back to school section.  I will be drawing in colors more.
Week 2 Pink and black so that we could incorporate some Flamingos because they represent summer.

Week 3 Lemons I mean who isn't obsessed with Lemons?   Lemonade and Vodka anyone?

Week 4 my Birthday week.  So loving these watercolor balloons!  And because I love a good Unicorn I had to add these in.  Used a new washi as well.  Getting a handle on that left column.  And I get to add my own touches with some colored pens.

Splish Splash - Scrappy Saturday

Digging in to some old photos I found these adorable ones of Emily when she was little in a bathing suit in the water where she loved to be.  She is totally my little mermaid.

I did start this originally for a challenge that included a sketch and the need to use a song title.  I think I have 3 song titles on this layout.  I got to use my Counterfeit Kit along with one of my Spellbinder dies(the mermaid) to create this.  I did find the sketch challenging so it took me too long to do.  But it doesn't look as bad as I think it did in the beginning.

Hope all is well.  Hang in there!  Hugs everyone!

Scrappy Saturday- Puppy Pool Time

These puppies hate water.  So Pool Time is not really a thing to them.  We have moved baths outside though for the summer.  No need to have water all over the house  when they can run around outside.

The layout is done using an old paper pad from K&Co.  I took it apart and made a bunch of base pages that I can just add photos and a title and whatever else I want.   Love this for quick scrapping especially this time of year when I need a little break from Craft Fairing but not too long a break.

Hope everyone is enjoying our late summer days.  Thanks for stopping by.

Tropical Card Series - Tiki Guys and a Bonus Box

I fell in love with these Tiki Guys from the Tim Holtz Tropical die set.  As I was making this all I could think about was the Tiki Curse from the Brady Bunch episode that totally sucked me in as a kid(did I just date myself like that?).   I do love how these dies cut watercolor paper.  I washed the paper with browns and then inked up the dies after I cut them for more texture.
The tropical leaves are cut out of Echo Park Paper from the 6x6 pad A Perfect Summer.  The blue background is from the same pad.

So to give these cards as a gift I created a Gift Box for them.  I have a tutorial on this box from 2013 which you can find HERE.  I used one of my new 12 x 12 paper pads from Michael's for the patterned paper for the lid and cardstock for the base.  The flamingo is cut with my silhouette and the stamp is from MFT stamps.
This made a lovely Hostess Gift for a Dear Dear Friend from High School that hosted all of our friends for a BBQ this Summer.  It was a wonderful evening with Friends supporting Friends.

So this is the end of this Series.  I feel like cards are getting a bit boring to me I've made some others for my Etsy shop I will share later but I have an itch to Scrapbook so I think layouts are in my near future!  Not that cards are gone for good but I have to go back and forth to keep the mojo alive!

Thank you for joining me for this Series and I hope you return for everything coming up in the future!  Have a Great Weekend!

Tropical Card Series - Pineapples and more Pineapples

Had so much fun using my Distress Oxide and Distress Ink to make the pretty background for this card.  The stamped greeting is from MFT Clear Stamps Written in Watercolor it is stamped in Versamark and embossed in black.  The Pineapple comes from Silhouette and is cut out of Mirracard Gold.  I've added some mini sequins in various pinks as well.

I love how the watercolor turned out I just need to work on the warping.
Here we have the same Pineapple as above and a greeting from Hero Arts.  The patterned paper is Echo Park A Perfect Summer.  I've used one of my Daniel Smith watercolors in  yellow for the drops on the white.
Those pink stripes are from some scraps sitting out on my desk.  It definitely needed more color!  Especially with the Kraft card base.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Summer now that we are right in the middle.  My kids are busy with their summer activities but starting to look forward to school again!  Have a wonderful day!  Thank you for stopping by.

America The Beautiful - Stars and Stripes Card Series

It's that time the last card in this series but not least at all.  The girl is a free digital stamp by Whimsie Doodles Stamps.  I love these stamps illustrated by Melyssa Connolly they are so adorable!   I love this little girl.  She is waiting for the 4th of July Parade don't you think.  I loved coloring her with Copic Markers and got on a bit of a coloring kick with the previous card in this series.  The Copic colors used are in the photo below.

For this card I have die cut the patterned paper (Pebbles Let Freedom Ring series) with the Lifestyle Crafts Banner die set.  The girl I fussy cut and positioned onto the John Adams paper so that I can have her holding one of the sparklers which I have Stickled.  I've just drawn a line with my Copic Multiliner and  a ruler.  The America the Beautiful banner is cut from the Samuel Adams paper and popped up on the card.  I've also added a bit of twine at the top.  I almost forgot the red stars are from the USA in the last card.

So now we've reached the end of this series.  The next series of cards will be Tropical Summer cards Fun Fun Fun I can't wait for you to see what all of the fun cards and a special surprise!  Can't wait Can't wait Can't wait......  Ok enough for now hope your having a Wonderful Start to your week.  Hugs!

USA Bug - Stars and Stripes Card Series

Hello All! We're on to the 4th card in this series.  I couldn't resist this little guy and Copic Coloring him or her depending on how you see it.  Lately a little bit at a time I've been unmounting my favorite Stampin Up Stamps from the past.  This little guy is from the Love Bug set.  When I was painting the Aileen's Tack it Over & Over on this set I saw it and thought it would be perfect for the 4th of July.  Such cute little sections to color all different shades of Red & Blue leaving a bit of white. You can see the colors used below.

The bunting edge was cut with a Border from a Crafter's Companion Create a Card set.  It's done in 2 colors and the layered bug on top.  The entire piece is set on top of a blue piece of cardstock that was embossed with an Anna Griffin folder Striped Stars.  The USA comes from a set of Lifestyle Craft Patriotic Dies.

The entire card makes me a bit Happy, not that it's the best but it turned out the way I saw it in my head which is rare.  Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out this series of cards!  I can't thank you enough!  Hope you have a GREAT WEEKEND!  Hugs!

Ahoy On Your Birthday - Stars and Stripes Card Series

We're more than half way done with this FUN card series.  Today I'm using Anna Griffin letterpress folders, dies and clear stamps to extend the nautical one more time!

I've inked up Anna's Anchor Letterpress plate with Archival Ink and run a piece of white cardstock through the Cuttlebug with to create the letterpress look.  For the anchor clear stamp I stamped it in Staz On on Strathmore Mixed Media cardstock which is the whitest paper I have that works with my Zig Clean Color Pens which is how I colored the anchor.  It is die cute with Labels 4 from Spellbinders.  The greeting OnYour Birthday are all Anna Griffin Dies as is the Striped Stars embossed strip under the anchor.
I really adore how this card turned out.  Thank you so much for stopping by today hope you are enjoying your June!

You Brighten My Day - Stars and Stripes Card Series

Yay back on track.  The kids are finishing up the first semester of Summer School then going off to their respective jobs helping me out at work!  (DOUBLE Yay my office is going to get rid of most of the boxes while they are there!!!)  Our latest card series is underway and getting me excited for the upcoming 4th of July festivities!   I really wish we had a beach here but I will have to dream of lighthouses and beaches until I can get back to Florida.

Today's card will suffice as a manifestation of my dream.....  I love this little Lighthouse on the beach from Lawnfawn and I've colored it with Zig Clean Color Markers on Strathmore Cold Press watercolor paper.   The lighthouse of course comes with it's own stripes so I have added some stars in the night sky using my water brush to remove some of the color and putting a rhinestone in the middle of the washed out dot and a little yellow put back in so that the rhinestone looks as if it glows.  I love this technique wouldn't it e wonderful for a wedding or shower card so it looks like diamonds are glowing?  Or little street lamps, or lights on a Christmas tree.  The possibilities are endless.....

Thank you so much for stopping by today and getting a little Beachy stars and stripes.  Have a Wonderful remainder of your week!

Shoot For The Stars - Stars and Stripes Card Series

Good Morning.   I have been working on getting this series started since Monday.  But you know how you get into that cycle of being tired and not having enough time to get everything done in a day. Then can't fall asleep at night thinking about all of the things you haven't completed, which just adds to the vicious cycle of not getting enough things done while being exhausted all day.  That's about how it was coming out of May and recovering from my Spring cold.  Now we are all back to our regular selves I hope to get back on track.

This series will be a somewhat Patriotic one to there will be 5 cards with Stars and Stripes hopefully they will jump start you to make your own Patriotic Inspired card for upcoming events in your life or maybe you will find a technique you just have to try or revisit.

Today's card uses a clear stamp set from My Favorite Things Stamps.  I've heat embossed the greeting in Gold and stamped the stars all around in shades of red and blue.  Everything is layered onto blue cardstock and a red card.  I have of course used a ton of Stickles on the stars and some striped ribbon to add the stripe part of our series!

Hope you enjoy it and your having a wonderful start to your Summer.  Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today!

Thank You Sea Shells - Navy and Gold Series

We made it to the 5th card in the color series.  YAY I have been excited to use some new products and techniques throughout this series of cards.  This card is no exception all new products mostly Anna Griffin again.  The Anna Griffin Sea Shells are stamped on a scalloped die cut piece of white paper with Adirondack ink.   I love the super crisp image this ink gave these stamps and was pleasantly surprised how well these clear polymer stamps worked.  The Thank You is also from a new Anna Griffin set of greetings that came with die cuts.  The small oval was cut with that set and the larger gold was cut with a Lifestyle Crafts oval die.  I added some navy grosgrain ribbon behind the words and popped up the entire scalloped piece onto gold mirrorcard.
I am so happy with the way that this card series turned out I'm already working on another one or two!  YAY!  Look for a Patriotic Series starting later this week.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to visit my blog!  It is so appreciated!  Have a Wonderful WEEK!

Hello Summer - Navy and Gold Series

I had some fun last week creating this card. I heat embossed the gold dot background(an old Stampin Up Stamp) onto Kraft cardstock and die cut it with a dotted rectangle die from Memory Box.  Once that was done I layered it onto a piece of gold mirrorcard with foam tape.  The Octopus again from Memory Box is also foam taped up over the navy ribbon.  I was excited to use one of my new Anna Griffin dies for the Hello.
Originally the octopus had only one rhinestone eye but the MR. said that didn't look right.  I was thinking he was a profile octopus but I guess not two eyes are better than one for sure even more so when they are rhinestones.

Hopefully your enjoying the color series.  I am excited to do this there are 2 more cards coming up one on Thursday and one next early next week.  Thank you again for stopping by!

I was Spotted How Fun

I was a little SUPRISED while scrolling down to see my little bear card!  On the blog!  FUN FUN FUN!

I still love this little guy and the starburst created with a Memory Box stencil.

Hope your having a great day.

Sweet Summer Mini Album and Beach Tote

Here is my Sweet Summer Mini Album and tote!  I love love how it turned out using all Doodlebug Papers from the Sunkissed line and a few extra pieces.    The Album fits perfectly into the tote bag with a little extra room to expand with pictures, more pages and ephemera.
