Flowerful

Today on the Bombshell Blog we are using Celebrating Flowers for Spring.  I had fun with this and my watercolor paints.  The flower is from the Bombshell Angel set and the phrase if from Banner Sayings set.  After water coloring and waiting for it to dry.......(waiting is borning) I added some sparkle with Stickles in the center of the flowers and some Wink of Stella on the banner.

Why not celebrate the coming of Spring with some flowers!  It's lots of fun!  Have am Amazing Day!

Golden Sophia Blooms

Goldenhelloflower

Good Morning, Over on the Memory Box Blog today with a quick card using the Sophia Bloom Die(98840), Hello Script Die(98580) and the Distressed Grid Stencil(88531).  I am having fun playing with all of the flower dies and stencils. I die cut the flowers in white and spritzed them with a mist I created out of gold acrylic paint and water, I heat set them a bit but set them aside to dry for a bit.   Then I sponged Picked Raspberry Distress ink over the stencil and layered that over a piece I oulined with a Gold Wink of Stella pen.  The Hello Script was cut out of black cardstock and then again in gold cardstock and layered on top of each other.  Once the flowers were dry I adhered them to the card front with bits of foam tape(pop dots) and added little rhinestones to the center of each.  For a finishing touch I added a bit of gold twine.  I love the fresh way it turned out.

I hope you like it and have a Wonderful Day!

I Love Spring! And my Last Class of the Month - Fabulous Folds

I'll be teaching this at Craft Fancy today.  I was trying to use my photo cube thingy today can you tell I have no idea what I'm doing with the lighting.  OMG  I'll figure that out eventually. SORRY.   They really look better in person, actual samples are in the store.  There are a few kits available as well.

Art Journal Still Going

Here is my second installment for my Art Journal -  B is for what else?  Bombshell this one was a no brainer since I have my Bombshell Stamps.  Here I used Bombshell Angel my all time favorite.  I've colored her with Copics and vintagized her.  Don't you love the affect?

B is for Bombshell

I did have a bit of problem with my calligraphy since I wanted to do some work over it to vintagize it?   The ink runs whenever I put anything over it.  I had to attempt the calligraphy with the chisel of my Copic markers.  Do I love it?  NO but it's better than it looked all runny!  If I get a chance I'll redo the lettering.

A Little Spring Garden

Garden1
My post from the Memory Box blog Today.  Here is a little Spring Garden Card, wishful thinking since the snow from Monday has just now melted in our yard.  But we are hopeful as you can see.    Dies used Bare Sapling - 98666 Tiny Tulips - 98834  Mini Clouds - 98689  Wrought Iron Fence - 98164 Poppy Dies Vegetabel Border - 843 & Fluffy Bunny - 980.  I cut the Tulips and Vegetables out of white and colored them with Distress Markers.   Hope you like it this is part of my Die Cut Class at Craft Fancy this week!
Wishing you a Great Day.

A Little Zentangle - Illinois

Here's a little Zentangle I did of the State of Illinois.  The little heart (inspired by Margot Potter's Pendants) was added at the end it is just punched out of red cardstock.  The background is a Memory Box stencil with Black Soot Distress ink and a sponge.  I do love the black and white with a little color.
I did make 16 of these for the C.A.R.S. (Chicago Area Rubber Stampers Club) swap.  Our theme this month was Zentangle.  There was a bit of cheating and copying done.  I still have the original piece though.  Maybe I'll frame it in a little frame.

Hope you like it.  Have a Happy Tuesday!

Fab Friday Tutorial - Dry Embossing with a Stencil

Good Morning I'm over on the Bombshell Stamps Blog Today to share how to Dry Emboss with your Stencils.

You will need - All of the plates you would use for an embossing fold in your particular machine and a plastic stencil plus a rubber embossing mat and a metal shim.
Start building your sandwich with the base plate, in this case with the Big Shot or Big Kick open to tab 1, then the first clear plate.  Now add the rubber embossing mat and then your piece of paper then the stencil on top of that.
On top of all that add the metal shim.
And finally top it off with your last clear plate.  The entire sandwich may need to be tweeked for other styles of machines just play around with it.
Now run your sandwich through the machine.  I usually run it back and forth a couple of times.
This is how the embossing will look.
I then rub some Distress ink across the embossing.

This will make the embossing POP.
Here is my finished card.  I've used the Bombshell Digital Stamp Set Vintage Raceway.   I colored the car with Copic Markers.   I love that the Vehicle Stamp sets are available in Digital at Bombshell Stamps this Month!  Gotta Love That!

Garden Watering Can

Wateringcan1Good Morning!  I swear it's like Spring is finally here!  I am pretending I didn't hear a possible snow shower in our forecast for next week on the news last night.  They have to be wrong it was 60 degrees and sunny here yesterday and today promises to be just as warm.  To that end I had to create a Garden card to celebrate the Crocus, Tulips, Daffodils and Pansies making debuts around here.  This one is on the Memory Box Blog Today.

I used the new Garden Watering Can - 98859 and filled it with Bamboo Shoots - 98793 and flowers from the Blushing Bouquet - 98890 I did set the entire piece in the Grassland Border -825 from Poppy Stamps.  The Flowers were colored with Copic and I added a bit of stickles to the center.  I chalked the grey watering can with brown and rust chalk inks.

Hope you enjoy the card.  And I really hope everyone is having the same peaks at Spring as we are.

Tall Trees with Stencils/Embossing Paste

Naturestencils
Good Morning everyone I'm over on the Memory Box Blog today.  I've been having so much fun playing with the new stencils in the Growing Memory Box Stencil Line.  For the card above I used four of the new stencils  Modern Cloud Cover - 88558, Modern Radio Waves - 88538, Delphinium -88571 and Stems - 88570 to create the scene of tall trees on a hill.  I used White Embossing Paste (Studio 490) and colored and shaded it with Distress Markers.  The words were created with Alphabet Soup letters cut out of brown cardstock.

Hope everyone is having a great start to April!
