It was a gloomy day in Springtime!

Well today it is gloomy and cold. Hard to believe that Friday we were in shorts and it was in the 80's. We were a little to excited about the warm weather I think. Thus the string of 40 degree days now! At least we haven't seen any of the snow predicted! Phew!

Friday was Schnockers at Renee's oh my did we have fun and she and her husband Jeff cooked us some wonderful Thai food! Then we scrapped and played! It was very nice indeed! We even made a little side trip on our way to Hobby Lobby haven't been there in ages! That was fun! Everyone got a little something fun!

Yesterday was Improve your life day HA! Well not really but Dianne and I did head over to Lowes and clean them out of paint chips for our various home projects. I checked out trees for the front of the house etc. then it was off to B&N to improve our minds. Well I bought a new cookbook about heart health. I figured no matter what happens I should make the Fam eat much healthier and if I start now Dave won't be sooooo cranky about it! HA We'll see what happens with all his tests but I certainly don't want to be worrying about it all the time.

Today is Paula's Open House for her new Uppercase Living business. I'm excited to see her walls in real life! She sent us sneaky peakies of them. Visit the website to preview our products. Enter the Customer Corner area by clicking on the “Customer Corner Login” link. Login using Demonstrator ID #548379 and Registration Token: Swanson and follow the registration instructions. The entire catalog is available for viewing on-line. They have lots of cool stuff it's hard to pick!

Ooooh almost forgot. This is my gloomy day card that makes me chuckle! Chas won't let the rain get him down. He'll go scubaing(word?) in any kind of weather! The stamps are justjohanna, Chas Scuba Owl and Big Cloud, the paper is Basic Grey and the die cut is Sizzix. Hope your all having a great day!

Playing with Paper Dolls is Fun!

So Johanna challenged us to alter this paper doll for her Boutique this month! I had a lot of fun with Bree, her new name! She on her way to a Ladies Luncheon only she needs to fortify herself with a Martini before she heads out to meet her "friends". HA Such a vivid imagination! So anyway I used 9 justjohanna stamps on this. Her skirt is the plain jar and her top is the fancy cage, then there is Michelle's banner for her scarf, the other-tini, the top hat and feather, the dragon tail, chaise and chandelier round off the stamps! The papers are K&Co and American Crafts!

A Little Catch Up

Ok so I've been going through pictures! Here are a couple. First we have the weekly feature over at Linnecards.com. This week is Daisy Bucket as the feature. The designers went a little CRAZY making projects this week! Be sure to check out the gallery! Also look for news of a NSD crop and the Design Team call over there! Things are hopping!
The second is the cake I made for Abbi's Birthday! While it's not amazing it worked I was suprised. I baked it in a pyrex bowl. It was fun decorating it. And everyone enjoyed eating it! The cupcakes I ordered from the grocery store. One cake was enough! I just added the sprinkles when I got them home!
Things are moving along here! Dance costumes are coming in. We're up to 2 rehersals a week till the end now. The girls started tumbling, they love it and they get to do it together! Started working in the yard a bit this week now that it's finally nice. Cris brought up some furniture that I'm trying to work into the house and he's headed back to TN. I'm in organizing mode I have 4 more weeks until summer vacation starts for one of them so my 2 hrs of work time is fading fast! Got to get things ready! That's about it for now!

I Challenge you to gather your scraps into a pile and pull out a few patterned and cardstock pieces and stamp out something wonderful. Here are the scraps I pulled out of my box.

Stamps used Flying Al, Thought Bubble, Little Al and Alistair all by justjohanna. The bubbles are accented with souffle and glaze pens. I also did the tub edge and legs with glaze pens!

Spring is almost here!

I swear it's sunny and warmish today! Well it's WINDY oh my is it WINDY but then that's pretty normal!
What have I done lately? OH MY things have been crazy around here it's fundraising season for just about everything again OH MY! We registered Ab's for Kindergarten that was hard. I didn't cry which is a miracle since I cry about every little thing. I did end up signing up to do kindergym! Abbi is not thrilled since I'll be in her gym classes. HMMMMM. The girls started tumbling last week they love it! Ab's is the youngest Em is pretty young too the other girls are all in middle school so they are the babies. But the teacher is on the HS Gymnastic Team and is awesome with them. So hopefully we'll have our cartwheel and splits by the end of the session.
What else? Putting together a class on flowers for spring that should be fun. I'm kinda excited I have a cute bag idea! Oh and the card at the top is fun I used a card I got in a kit that was already die cut with the window. I stamped around it with the justjohanna stormy wave stamp and embossed with a fun green embossing powder! The inside is lined with a cool patterened paper that matches!
OOOOH HEADS UP!!! Earth Day is coming and justjohanna is going to have challenges and prizes and such! That will be loads of fun. Keep watching for exciting updates and details.

Back to Life!

Well sort of. Last week was spring break which was fun. I did make the mistake of switching my internet/TV/phone over right before break. We are still working out problems with service and damage to my home. And can I just say I have new rules in place regarding household services. I can only deal with one utility company one time a day on one issue daily. Even then it's generally an hour long process but the hours on end trying to fix all the problems we have had have taken their toll on me. I now just start crying before the call begins so I can get it out of the way! HA Dave has his own rule and he likes to say it loudly "DON'T EVER CHANGE ANYTHING AGAIN!" And we all know my husband loves to save money but I suppose he figures it's not worth the time and inconvenience.

Anyhoo enough about my technology ICK! I'm happy to be back and have the kids back to their routine and be able to breath again.

Here I missed Easter and Abbi's b-day celebration. Both were very pleasant. There was also a very fast, fun, wildly tiring visit by some of Dianne's crazy friends from Iowa! Those ladies are way too much fun and we scrapped and shopped and ate! Oh My!

So I need a little something happy after an hour of more repair issues today. Here is a cute card with matching envie. I found these cards and envelopes at a Scrap store we used to have it's since gone but they are so fun and bright! The chipboard is Jenni Bowlin, Paper Chatterbox and the stamps are justjohanna! If this shade of orange doesn't make you smile then I don't know what to do! Have a great day!
