What a Week

Phew it's been a week!  Our trip to Grand Rapids, Notions & classes with Tim Holtz were great.  It was very nice to be away for a few of days and doing something creative, most of the time!  Grand Rapids is a very pretty city!  Kelly & Notions were a lot of fun and now we can imagine where a lot of our stuff comes from!  They were all very nice and fed us within an inch of our lives!  Tim was an amazing instructor as always!  It's very inspiring to see how organized he and his team are and how flawless each class is.   It was fun being with Dianne in one of his classes she had never distressed or alcohol inked and was excited about it all!

The kids had Dr. appt yesterday they are both Fantastic the Dr. said(she said that word with everything she checked it was funny).  We're not going to panic about Emily's chest pains right now as it could be normal growing pains and such.   But I will keep an eye on it.  We are trying new allergy medicine which is exciting!  We need something that works better or maybe that is just more consistent.

At work we're getting ready for our Spring Make & Take Event this Saturday!  The card above is a Make & Take using one of the  new Tim Holtz Alterations dies, my favorite new 7 Gypsies paper,  an American Crafts Greeting and one really popular Hero Arts Background Stamp.  Hopefully it's ok?  There are things you can't really see Rock Candy stickles on the body of the butterfly.  The shading of the 2 distress inks in the background etc.  Hope everyone gets a chance to stop by and make a card!

Have a great day!

It's SOOO Sunny!

And green!  It makes me think of Gardening!  If only we could walk in our yard!  Hopefully it will dry out enough to mow this weekend!  I cannot even believe I typed those words.

So today I'm off to teach Copic 101 then home for the remainder of the weekend!  Getting ready for my trip to Grand Rapids next week to learn from Tim Holtz and tour our Vendor!  How fun is that?  Best part Dianne and I will be on a road trip!

We may get a Hermit Crab this weekend.  Dave has been doing  a lot of research!  That will be fun we've been petless for a couple of months now!

I'm going to run outside and enjoy the sunshine!  I hope everyone has a great day!

Parisian Delight

Another set of lovely vintage tags for my ETSY shop.  I love all things Paris so these were fun for me.

So it's quiet here today catching up on laundry and house cleaning and all things domestic.  Ewww but I get to play tonight so I'm happy!  The kids enjoyed the bright sunshine we ended up having yesterday afternoon.  And our swingset is now gone!  Woo Hoo the backyard is empty.  Now Dave is all worried about the grass where it's dead and such.  It will be so easy to mow how exciting!  Now the kids are planning for a trampoline.  They've already started working on it.  HA  I'm not sure Daddy is going to budge on a trampoline especially when he can just mow right through the lawn now.  We'll see I guess.
Have a great Wednesday I can't wait to scrap tonight!  Got lots of things on my To Do list!

Spring Showers they say Bring Flowers

We can only hope given the onslaught of thunderstorms and hail we have been experiencing.  Icky!  It's freezing this morning but apparently it will be 80 by late afternoon.   I'm sure we'll be seeing steam.

So working this morning, lots of new stuff to put out! And Carol put tons out last night!  Yesterday was amusing I came in for my class and Melissa was surrounded by boxes!  Really BIG Boxes!  It's always exciting especially when it's not light bulbs!  HA   Class was awesome we had a great time yesterday doing some Fantastic Folds!  Today Dianne is teaching Japanese Floral Art and tomorrow is her ADORABLE trinket box!    I adore her stuff!    I always try to chanel her while I'm working on my projects it makes me more creative I swear!  Since I'm talking about classes Friday I've got my Copic 101 class where we will be working with blues!  Love love love them!  The samples are above! Love that new crushed silk ribbon and the Maya Road Scalloped polka dot ribbon SOOOO FABULOUS!

Later it's off to begin class samples and get the house put back together from Easter.  No matter how much I sweep I keep finding Easter Grass.  What is with that?  It's like it hides and then comes out later?   It's like an Easter Egg hunt only it never ends!  Hee Heee Heeeee!  Ok gotta get ready for work and eat breakfast!  Have a great day!  Stay Dry!

The Weekend is Here

It's been such a long week.  I'm not even sure why maybe just the Anticipation of Spring?  Maybe it's just recovering from Vacation.

Thursday was Hero Arts cards at the store lots of fun!  We laughed and had a great time!  We had fun at the bday party yesterday.  But yikes 13 little girls after candy, cake and ice cream!  EEEEK.  Cheryl took all the kids home with her and Dave and I had some quiet time alone!  Phew!  Then we had her kids here for a sleepover last night.  I swear at 8am they were all still silently sleeping.  There up now and playing barbie and Wii.  But their having fun! Finished my holiday shopping this morning before the mad rush!  It's very pleasant here listening to the kids play and the steady tap tap of the rain outside!  Put Dave right back to sleep!  HA

So Monday is the Fabulous Folds Class I'm excited these are fun cards to make and you won't be disappointed to learn a new unique way to put together a card.  The sample above uses one of my favorite Hero Arts stamps right now!

Hope everyone is having a Happy Holiday Weekend!

It's Amazing!

We go from cold and damp.  To 70 degrees for one day and now it's going to be 80 today!  Gotta love Chicago Weather.  I'm guessing we'll have snow this weekend?  HA I'm totally knocking wood over there!!!   I'm not complaining I'm just so excited that it's warm I don't know what to do with myself.    Do I get out my warm weather clothes and put away the sweaters do I dare?

Ok so yesterday I met some wonderful new students in my Die Cut Class Julie and Laura they were lots of fun and ensured that we had a fun time!  Welcome aboard ladies. I came home stopped at the bakery and got my order in for Sunday, I also got goodies for last night.  Got my Ham for Sunday as well.   Last night we had scrappy scrappy as my little one likes to call it.  We laughed so hard we almost cried.  Dianne and Alice helped me make 100 little sucker flowers.  And then they did big pinwheel lollipop flowers for the party tomorrow!  I can't thank them enough.  Paula was working on her party favors they are so stinkin cute!    I finally finished Katie's Birthday card(sorry Katie)  but Happy Belated Birthday.  The Kiddos ran around outside all evening until they saw the cute Mini Egg and Bunny cakes I got from the bakery for everyone last night.  That was all it took to get them in the house.

Today I'm teaching April Hero Arts Cards at Craft Fancy.  The cards above are from the class.  I'm so loving the fresh colors!!!

Ok so I'm off to work some more on the Party projects for tomorrow!  I have 25 min before the kids awake and we start with lunches and such.  Have a great day and Enjoy the Wonderful Weather!
