Silvery Snowflakes

We are continuing on our week of the Memory Box/Imagine Crafts Blitz.  I'm over on the Memory Box Blog today sharing a Silvery Snowy Card with you.

I love using the stencils for perfect backgrounds.  Who needs patterned paper when we have all of these amazing stencils and so many techniques and amazing products to create fun affects.

First I've created a snowy background using the Winter - Snowflake Lace Stencil 88576 and some black paper.  I sponged Memento Luxe Wedding Dress over the stencil then sprinkled on Imagine Crafts Sparkle Embossing Powder.
The entire piece was heat set.   And OH MY does it sparkle.  It is very hard to convey in a photo.
Next on another sheet of black I stamped the Forest Pine G2016 stamp in Delicata Sivlery Shimmer Ink and added Imagine Crafts Silver Embossing Powder.
The entire piece was cut down to size and lastly I used the Sheer Shimmer Spritzer in Frost to add dots by taking the pump out of the bottle and dropping the dots one by one from the tube.  Once these dried they SHIMMER and SHINE so much!
The card base is a Dove Gray Card and to set the tree off I used a mat of Silver Mirror Cardstock.
I hope you like it! The Silvery Glittery Mix makes me whistful for the sparkle of the first snowfall.  Which apparently is a possibility for Halloween night here.

Grateful - Woodland Tree Silhouette

Good Morning, I'm over on the Memory Box Blog today I have for you a card using the Woodland Tree Silhouette 98969.  This really is the most versatile die and it cuts beautifully out of so many materials.  Today for the background I have used strips of fall colored card stock in 0.5 inch strips and layered the Woodland Tree Silhouette over it.  Once it was complete I used the Script Lowercase Alphabet 98896 to add the word "grateful" to the card, in Gold Mirror Card.  This would be so perfect for Fall or Thanksgiving Cards.  This is also a wonderful way to used up scraps too and you could change the theme according to what you have on hand or what type of card you need.  Hope you get a chance to give it a try!  Have a Wonderful Day! .
Leave a comment on the Memory Box Blog for a chance to win a die.  Contest closes October 26th.

Fall Thanks - Memory Box Card - Discovering Die Cuts Today

Good Morning, I'm over on the Memory Box Blog today.  With another Fall Thank You card, since Fall is officially here not only in date but also just with the weather.  It's time to begin staying in and crafting on gloomy, rainy, cold days.

For this card I used the Elliana Background 98956 which is cut out of Gold Mirror Card.  I pieced together a background fall colored strips of cardstock and popped up the Elliana Background with foam tape over the handmade background.    I layered some of the Marvelous Maple Leaves 98766 in the bottom right corner using the Fall Colored Cardstock found in the background then I cut the Thanks Cloud 98875 on top of the leaves to make the word pop.

The card is a standard A2 Card and measures 4.25" x 5.5".   The Elliana Background 98956 measures 4.25" x 5.5" as well  so it completely covers the card.  I love the idea of creating your own background with this die, not just piecing paper but also stamping or many die cuts as well as patterned paper, fabric, ribbon etc.  Use up your scraps.  Depending on what colors and textures you choose this die could go for any Season, Holiday or Event.

Smile Lillies

Happy Columbus Day,  I'm over on the A2Z Scrapbooking Blog Today!  Today I am sharing a pretty card using an amazing Hero Arts Antique Gratitude CL780.  The focal point flower in this set is Amazing Lilies so I colored them like Tiger Lillies with watercolor pencils.  The background is also watercolored. The piece is cut into an oval and layered onto Orange Cardstock. The flower has gold Wink of Stella centers and stamens which are hard to pick up in the photograph.  The greeting "SMILE" comes from  Hero Arts A Little CL758.  It's stamped in black and then glossed up with Glaze Pen.  I created a background with a Hero Arts Stencil  and some Gold Embossing Paste on Kraft Layering Paper. There are a couple of little gold rhinestones for more shine at the bottom.  The entire piece was popped up onto a Kraft Card.   I hope you like it.  Thank you for stopping by today!
