Copic Class Gallery and Fall Colored Card

Another sample from the October Copic Class at Craft Fancy.  The class is October 24th.  This one uses Lawn Fawn Stamps. As you can see we're airbrushing them all after we're done coloring. I've used Neenah in the ivory here to give a warmer feel.  Call to sign up today and don't forget your basic tool kit and markers.  See you then.

On a side note, I was excited to see a gallery of a bunch of my past copic classes on Flickr.  How Cool, check it out for lots more Copic Inspiration......

CONANT'S ANNUAL CRAFT FAIR

Saturday, October 22nd

9 am - 4 pm

OVER 200 CRAFTERS

It's a Challenge

Over at the Craft Fancy Blog we've been challenged to use Fall Colors!  I'm currently in love with the Twiggy Tree die from Memory Box...love love love.   I also used Made with Love by Hero Arts which I have been using on everything!  The leaves well I cheated a bit and used an old Provo Craft punch that I think is a tiny pine tree, upside down and in browns and golds they look like leaves.  The paper is Bella Blvd. Finally Fall - Leaf Pile.  I also used the new Distress Ink Gathered Twigs for the greeting!  This is the perfect brown for this time of year.

Head on over to the blog to check out what everyone else has done and to participate in the challenge.

Have a great day!

Fall Copic Class Coming Up

Yet another card from my Fall Copic Coloring Class at CraftFancy call the store to sign up today.  Here you can really see the new airbrush technique we will be using!  LOVE it I can't stop airbrushing like this, eeeek!  I am totally justifying my purchase of that air compressor, it's getting a workout.

The stamps are all Hero Arts.  The greeting is from Made with Love my current go to basic greeting set!  The leaves are from Real Leaves these totally lend themselves to copic coloring!

Don't forget your Basic Tool kit and your markers!  See you soon!

Pumpkin Chunkin

It was off to Peoria today for Pumpkin Chunkin we had a great time watching the pumpkins get shot across a field, eating junk food and riding rides with great friends.  Even if it was a bit brisk outside!  The perfect fall day all and all.

Yesterday I made my last visit to our local farmers market and it was a bit thin.  The wind was so bad some booths had to close up and everyone had to take down their tents they kept collapsing.  I still got a bunch of veggies and fresh bread for dinner, but it was a sad end to the season for me.   Next Saturday Dianne and I are participating in the Conant High School Craft Fair so that will be fun!  Working hard on products.....

Fall Copic Cards October 24th

Another sample from the October Copic Class.  More Airbrushing again.  We're using a Claudine Helmuth stamp.  Love this bony tree it's the essence of fall.  I've used Neenah in the ivory here to give a warmer feel.

Last day of Trip

Last day of our trip to TN we drove to KY and visited Diamond Caverns where we did the cave tour and then the kids bought bags of fossils and arrow heads and enjoyed finding in the picture above.

After that it was a super long drive home!   We didn't get here until after 10:30pm and everyone was exhausted.  I hope everyone had a great time it seems like except for the whining in the car Dave and myself included!

So today it's totally back to normal for everyone! Phew...
Today we were off to the Zoo, one of the things the kids really really wanted to do on this trip.  We were lucky to have Amazing weather the entire time we've been in Nashville.

Last time we were at the Zoo the Flamingos weren't in place yet.

Can you spot the little girls in the tree house at the Zoo, the main reason they love it here....

After that we made it to the Puffy Muffin for Lunch and then to relax for awhile before picking up fired pottery pieces and heading off to dinner at the Mellow Mushroom.  I did get the opportunity to meet Mom's Art teacher who seems wonderfully talented and totally sweet I can see why she enjoys her classes so much.

We are off to bed early tonight we head home tomorrow with a couple of stops along the way.

Relaxing Sunday

Meet Gary....  Abbi found him in the backyard at Grandmas under a rock.  She carried him around and played with him for a long long time.

Today we just explored downtown Franklin and then grilled and ate outside.  A very pleasant day.  After dinner Dave and I headed off to a lantern tour of The Hermitage, which was wonderful.

Shot from the staircase in the foyer of The Hermitage.

Farmers Market, Babies & Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Dave and I explored Antique stores while the girls were out and about with Grandma.  We ran into them at The Factory where we had lunch at Sapphire's and they were painting pottery in a little shop.

This morning, Emily and I made it to the Franklin Farmers Market this morning!  WOW compared to our little local markets it was amazing.  Here are a few photos.
A subscription box from a local farm ready for delivery.

The tents went on and on.......

Geraldine's Chess Pie was utterly AMAZING we tried both the regular and the chocolate.  Later we had a minor pie emergency and caught up with her just in time to save the day!  Emily had lots of fun!

Gavin and Addison came for a visit they are so adorable aren't they.

Off to the pumpkin patch in Leiper's Fork to pick pumpkins!

The entire day was a lot of fun!  Phew!  Time to rest.

On The Road

Just outside of Mammoth Cave in KY the deer walked right up to our car.  The wild turkeys ran away quickly when I tried to take their picture, all I got were butts as usual.

Today we left from home around 7:30am and headed to Nashville.  We stopped and did a 2mile hiking tour of Mammoth cave.  There were 440 stairs which Emily thought was horrific.  Abbi on the other hand only said, watch your head Daddy well that is until she stood up in one spot and hit her head, and she's the shortest of all of us!   Anyway we learned a lot about the miles of caves and had fun.  Then it was on To Grandma's House.  We didn't arrive until around 9pm so we're off to bed....

Cute Ian for Fall Copic Cards

For an upcoming class October 24th at Craft Fancy!  I loved coloring Ian, The Greeting Farm stamps are my very favorite for Copics at the moment I collect them like they are never going to be available again.  Here we will use the air compressor and the speckled airbrush technique.  Fun Fun Fun!   We've also used my favorite Hero Arts greeting set at the moment. Hope you can join us.  Don't forget your markers.
