10 Days Really?

Ok so I've been a little MIA! I blame my DH it's all his fault! He is of course the most Wonderful Husband ever! For my birthday he suprised me with a Luncheon where all my friends came and my Brother picked my Mom up from the airport on his way back home from Indiana. It was WONDERFUL and I was Suprised which really made Dave happy! It was nice to have my friends and family here to celebrate! My Mom stayed a couple more days and I kept Em home from school one day we shopped, ate out, went swimming and had lots of fun. In the end I was totally exhausted in a totally good way! Too much excitement I suppose I needed a day to recover! Also more good news the PTA calendar is done it's published, printed and distributed to every family in our school and I'm thrilled to be done with it. LJR Graphics did a wonderful job with it and the office staff were happy with it this morning. I haven't heard from anyone else yet. I'm sure after the holiday weekend I'll get some feedback on the changes that were made.

Ok enough about that the first full week of school is now under out belts and we're getting back to a routine! I'm so excited I have time to create again! Next week the little one heads back to school imagine it 2.5 hours all to myself no children no whining no messes for 2.5 hours! Hee hee! I'll cry I know I will!

Anyhoo in my new found time this week I created a couple of cards for the Limetart Blog Challenge. The stamps are justjohanna of course! Back on my blue kick! Sorry about that don't really know whay that is? Have a Happy and Safe Holiday weekend!

Dance Troop Invite! WOO!

So Emily got her letter this week inviting her to join the Dance Troop! We're so proud of her she loves dance and works very hard at it! I'm so excited for her! She will be dancing with the big girls and have costume changes! It's all very exciting!

Well today is the day Meet The Teacher day! She won't be home with me all day everyday anymore! Off to 2nd grade YIKES! It's hard to believe how fast time flies! In honor of that here is a layout I did of her first day of 1st grade awhile back! I miss her already and today isn't even over!

So as not to be too depressing here! Today is Tools On Tuesday over at linnecards! I chose masks because, well I love them and use them often. I'm amazed at how versatile they are! Here is the project I created for the challenge using a Heidi Swapp Mask, some metallic spray paint, and Stickles!

Monday Monday!!!!

It's that time of week again ready for a new Feature over at linnecards! This week we are using KI! I love KI products!

Last weeks Feature was a Sketch. Sharon has some great sketches in her gallery to use here is what I did with it! Be sure to stop by and see what some of the other designers did with it! The papers are Heidi Grace and the Flower is Imaganisce. Have a great day!

Sniff Sniff!!!!

More justjohanna stamps to share! These are made using the Stand Left. It's meant to hold a birdcage or house or something on it's other end. I just turned it upside down and did some rearranging.

So lately, I think since the roofing started I think, the house stinks. Dave thinks I'm crazy but I smell wet dog(we don't have a dog), stale smoke(no one smokes) and just general stink. I was up till 3:30 Thur. night trying to find it! I did tons of laundry thinking it was a bathing suit or stale clothes. I had the girls clean the play room earlier because I thought it was in there, they kept bringing me toys to smell. Anyhoo I'm apparently the only person on earth that smells this! I'm starting to think there is something wrong with my nose?

We saw the movie yesterday! It was really cute everyone loved it. Well Abbi loved the jelly beans she got to eat. The rest of us enjoyed the movie! When we got home we ordered Pizza it was a very nice quiet day after all. Rainy but that was kind of soothing.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

OOOOH it's almost Done!

The siding is almost done! And It looks great at first I was worried about the color(the color of nothing Dianne?)but now I like it all over the house. It's really very soothing! I finished all my stamp class samples yesterday while listening to the pounding of the hammer! I was a little stressed by the end of the day. It's like sensory overload! Things only jumped off the wall in the studio at me a couple of times mostly things I had stacked. There was a moment when I felt the need to leave the room in case the big cabinet came off the wall(it didn't I'm paranoid!). Dave swears the house is sturdy and won't collapse in on us. But I worry you know! The hammering has already begun today but my little fam seems to not care they are sleeping through it! It will be short only a bit more they said they'd be done by noon!

So the girls went to their b-day party last night! Abs was so excited to be invited to a big girl party! Although the big girls were LOUD and she kinda freaked a couple of times about it. I stayed for about an hour and went to the park with the group before I had to come back to teach! They came back with posters of TROY(Scream, Sigh) for their walls. Well the rest of the cast is on them as well. They were cute last night Em was asking Ab's where she wanted to hang this poster and that poster! Dave said that they didn't watch the movie though! When they get up this morning I'll get to talk to them more about it!

Class last night was fun even if my house is trashed and everything from the walls all over the house is laying on my LR floor. Plus we got to hang out with Ana, who we never see anymore. Dorie came again she is just so cool and Jennifer P came on a Friday so it was a full house and lots of fun! At least I hope it was!

Today, well it's gloomy and there's the hammering so I think the girlies and I will go to a movie since we can't go to the "Big Pool". I'm sad our pool closes tomorrow and we're having a gloomy weekend. Abbi is so funny she is dying to go to the mooby theatre. She so wants to see Ratatootie! Cracks me up!

Blah blah blah blah blah! I'm boring myself so I'm sorry you've had to trudge through it! I WANT pictures!!! So here are a couple of cards I made using more justjohanna stamps. Although more isn't the right word it's Little Al again. I love him he's cute! And the Spring Tree which I don't think I've shared before! This was in a paint and glitter phase!
Have a great weekend!

Hammer Hammer Pound Pound

Can you hear it over the internet? If not, I'm completely shocked! Yesterday the new roof was installed it looks great! No one fell through the ceiling and the rain held off much to my suprise. So we had a moments rest and then at 7:30 this morning they started ripping off our old siding! The new color is wayyyyy lighter than I thought it was going to be! We'll see how it all looks up it's hard to tell in the box next to cardboard. Right now my house is covered in white with paper. Looks great with the roof! Hee Hee! The kids are happy today they can watch TV now that the dish is back on the roof! HA Makes up for not being able to go out in the yard!

This card was made using the justjohanna stamps. I have tons of new stamps coming from her and I just can't wait to start using them. I'm a little obsessed!

Also the challenges are continuing over at linnecards! Check them out and play along for prizes! They are totally fun I did 2 of them Wed. night at scrapbooking. The color(red/orange) and the stamping(paper piecing) challenge. Plus I got to use the new stamp Dianne suprised me with! I love it!

I SEE YOU!

Bad BAD BLOGGER! Totally have been away from my computer! Summer has gotten a bit out of control this year! Football season started here a couple of weeks ago and that was that! Although I have no boys I do have one Tiny Mite Cheerleader and their schedule is busy even if they are Tiny! We are lucky this is the year we don't have practice every night for 2 hrs like the bigger girls next year we're not so lucky, maybe she'll decide she doesn't like it suddenly? Anyhoo the schedule goes down to one night a week when school starts next week! FINALLY school is starting! Phew!

What else is new? New roof and siding coming when the rain stops! Thank goodness it was about time. Play dates and sleepovers galore! Both girls were invited to a birthday this Friday a special party to watch High School Musical 2 which is beyond exciting for all of Em's friends! Troy is so cute you know, he's even on all their messanger bags/backpacks for school! And you know the CD just came out they all desperately want it! They are just tooooooo cute! Shhhhh.... don't tell Em I told you she gets really upset when I share her secrets! Teacher letters came and we know know where almost everyone is except the boys but we giggle and laugh about what boys we "don't" want in our classes!

Anyhoo I have lots of things to share! At linnecards we are doing daily challenges. I have Tools On Tuesday my challenge for 8/14was to use Templates. Dianne is doing the Quote Challenge on Mondays and there are color, technique, stamping, stash and other challenges during the week. Sharon is even giving prizes for participation which is always fun! Here is the card I made using my template and doodling a bit!

The card up top is Little Al from justjohanna. Love that little guy! I have lots more cards and projects to share I just have to clean up the images a bit! Have a great day!

More Peeks!

I have lots of plane photos to share but before I do that I have a few cards I really want to share then I can begin alternating so you don't get tired of planes or cards unless it's in equal time! HA!

So these are more cards made with the new justjohanna stamps, most are now available in the store you have to go and check them out! They really are a blast to work with! These were all done with prismacolor pencils and gamsol.

Apparantly I am a Winner!

Good afternoon! It's OH MY HOT and sunny here! I've been burnt to a crisp and walked miles since I last blogged!

We took a little road trip up to WI where we got to do some fun fun things plus hang out with friends!

First we spent quite a lot of time at the Oshkosh Air Show which is a 2 week event up there. Dave got to see lots of war planes new and old on the ground and in the air! Plus they had stunt planes and sky writers and performances and and and and and. So we spent so much time walking through fields from plane to booth to plane we sat and watched the shows we took tons of pictures we explored and learned and exhausted ourselves!

And I know your asking what my girls were doing this entire time? Well most booths were prepared for children so they got lots of flying toys to play with plus the fact that mommy allowed even suggested they pour water on their heads on a regular basis was just way too much fun! So there were a few water fights etc. They really can make the best of it. Our friends have grown children but they did save quite a few toys so they had that to play with as well! The US Gov. building had a bunch of booths giving out tons of little things for the girls to play with.

And then Mommy promised them a trip to the American Girl Outlet which was a huge motivator!!!! They went in and jaws dropped proclaimed to want everything they saw! They forgot all about the hundreds of planes the had seen and been on. Priorities to a 7 & 4yr old girl are really basic!

Anyhoo while I was away I gather I won a contest over at Sugardumplin.com I'm attaching my layout here it's using product from their Seasonal kit. I so rarely win! Dave was right we should have bought lottery tickets. He mentioned that when he hit almost every green light after we got off the expressway to home! He was counting what is normally a 40min trip took us 25 because of that! What are the odds?

Hope eveyrone is enjoying their last weeks of summer!
