Rain Rain......Where are you?

Just wondering! I got a layout in Wed. at scrapping! I'm so excited! Finally a layout...completed even! This is for the Scrapbook Play Challenge over at Linnecards. This week our layout needed 8 circles.

Recovered Yet?

Has everyone recovered from the World Card Making Day/Weekend? (I finally cleaned of my table yesterday, oh my!!!!) Johanna has posted the JJWCMD Winners!!!! These were prizes in addition to the stamps given away for each challenge! Jacqueline is the BIG WINNER of the $250 Shopping Spree! OOOH She's going to have FUN!

Well like I said I cleared my table and found things I've been meaning to post so here are a couple. First the Doodle Book by Maelyn Cheung. This is so much fun! I'm thrilled to be a part of it! Also don't forget Maelyn is teaching a Doodling class over at Big Picture which I'm sure will be a resounding success. You get a copy of the book wth your class fee!

Second are pics of our trip to Super DAWG(I'm not really cool enough for this word)! Dave has been dying to go for the last few weeks. FINALLY he got there on Sunday! We had a beautiful day for a drive and a drive-in! The kids were fascinated. Emily actually said it was sooooo cool to eat in the car! They forget all the times I've driven through the McDonalds drive-thru! (Hee Hee) I think it's because they got to get out of their seats and eat in the back? I have no idea! Anyway this is a favorite place from Dave's childhood so he needed a fix!fix! Finally we worked in!

Soooooo lots of projects in progress. I'll share a cool Halloween one tomorrow to get you in the spirit! Have a great day!

Happy Columbus Day!

Ok so it's not a major holiday but the kids are off school today and there is no mailman to stalk for goodies! So here I am.

Actually the WCMD challenges are coming to a close. At 12:00 AM PDT (Check out Julie's blog for a countdown clock) we will begin posting the winners of our individual challenges then tomorrow when all is said and done Johanna will draw for a Grand Prize winner among all the participants! GOOD LUCK everyone that's playing along!

Also ending at 12:oo AM EST are the linnecards challenges. You won't want to miss out on those either!

Speaking of linnecards , today is Monday and it's time to reveal the DT challenge for the week! We were to do a paper piecing. Which I did last weekend and frantically logged on to upload my project in time only to find out I was a week early. Ooops! Well I guess it's not a bad oops. Anyhoo the entire time I was working on my first piece I was thinking how I could do a Halloween themed paper piecing of a web. So I had all week to work on that as well. Luckily I remembered to upload them both tonight which would really be something I would do!

The Creepy Crawly web is done with Rusty Pickle Adams Family papers. I can't pick just one as a favorite. I did use some pens to finish it off. American Crafts, Souffle and a Shimmer pen.

The Eiffel Towers is by justjohanna. I stamped it on patterned papers(KI Elsie, K&Co and Scenic Route) then cute out the pieces and put them back together. the alpha is a new set I had to have by Technique Tuesday Boulder Skyline. Sooooo many things you can do with this one can't wait to use it on everything! The flower is Making Memories and more pens American Crafts and the Signo Uniball. OOOH and I almost forgot Stickles!

World Card Making Day - Doodle Doodle Doodle

Here is my final justjohanna WCMD challenge of the day! Doodle Doodle Doodle Doodle and Doodle some more. Take some time to just sit down with a nice pen and go to town!

Here I've used the Eiffel Tower coloring it in with Souffle pens. I hand drew my letters and the border around the tower coloring it in as well. Try using different size tips for different affects! It's really relaxing!

WORLD CARD MAKING DAY....Time to Sparkle & Shine

It's here it's here! So the challenges have begun and I will here and there today! Hope everyone is enjoying all of the challenges over at the new justjohanna message board. You've all registered so you can win be in for the fabulous prizes right?

So here is my first challenge of the day! Sparkle & Shine! Because well I love glitter and rhinestones and all things shiny! I challenge you to use glitter, rhinestones, sequins or really anything at all that shines and blings it up a bit! Go nuts! Don't forget to upload your creations to your blog or the message board and link it back here in the comments section so you are eligible for the prize draw! Don't forget to upload an link before midnight on the 7th PDT.

Here I've used the Candycane Tree in a very haunting manner(HA)! I stamped it twice in Pigment Ink and colored them the same, I then cut one out and used a black glaze pen to really make the lines POP and shine. I added glue to the bottom of the other piece the card piece and my new orange glitter. While that dried I punched black bats out and gave them silvery eyes then used a clear glaze pen to make them shine. I also clear glazed the tree on the card piece to mask it off when I sponge daubered the card with grey. Stamped and cut out my tombstones, added various rhinestones to twinkle like stars and pop dotted my cut out tree and my tombstones. Really it's only missing sequins but I couldn't figure out how to make them fit into my graveyard theme? I'm really slacking!

Horrible Horrible Blogger!

Ok that's a bit DRAMATIC but well I am! I feel GUILTY! But look at it this way I'm back for awhile now! The kids broke the sound on the computer and Dave can't play his games so I can be here any old time I want! How cool is that! No more sharing! Until Em earns her Webkin tomorrow! Can I just say the weather here is AMAZING it's perfect! We have been out and about a lot lately!


So what's happening here? Just getting all ready for World Card Making Day! Did you know about this? It's Saturday! It's a HUGE deal! And it will be and already is a lot of fun! A lot of sites are celebrating.


First linnecards is doing a daily challenge everyday this week leading up to the day. Lots of fun prizes and challenges. More games and fun on Saturday itself make sure to check it out.
