Sweet Candy Canes

DiecutsJuly2014c
Good Morning how is everyone today? I'm over on the Memory Box Blog today with a FUN Christmas Card using the Sweet Candy Canes 98913 with shimmery red candy stripes.  The finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" a standard A2 card.

The first step is to cut the Candy Canes, out of white cardstock and then out of the red shimmer paper.  With detail scissors cut little strips of the red shimmer candy canes adhere to the white. If you like you can cut the strips on an angle for a more authentic Candy Cane look.  Don't forget to add the Ornament Hooks and Caps 98958  to turn the candy canes into ornaments.  I have glass ornaments that look like these on my tree every year they are some of my most treasured decorations to put on the tree.

The sentiments are Christmas from the Grand Merry Christmas 98938 the part that pops out and wishes is cut individually from Alphabet Soup 98795 with the black mirror card. The Christmas fits just perfect across and A2 card no matter which way you set up your card Landscape or Portrait and you can make another card with the remaining piece.

The entire card is done with just a bit of cutting and gluing.  The Bluebird Distress Dots with Christmas red is my favorite color combination for the Winter Holidays, I know again.  So the Bluebird Distressed Dots became my background and for an accent I have added some black mirror card tuxedo stripes.  The entire thing is mounted on a red card base.  They are almost yummy enough to eat don't you think?

I hope you like it. Hope you have a Wonderful Day Today.  Thank You for stopping by.

Silvery Hanging Ornaments Christmas Card

DiecutsJuly2014b
Good Morning!  Over on the Memory Box Blog today with a pretty, quick Christmas Card using the Hanging Ornament Die 98929 in some fresh modern colors.  For this card I cut the die first out of white cardstock and then out of the silver.  I used the negative of the white cardstock and embedded the silver mirror card Hanging Ornaments into the white piece.   Super simple just some fine detail gluing needed.  The Bluebird Distress Dots with red is my favorite color combo so far this year.  For some accent I have added some black mirror card strips and the entire thing is mounted on a red card.

I hope you like it. Have a Wonderful Day Today and thank you for stopping by.

Bombshell - Fabulous Friday Tutorial - Versa Pan

Good Morning,  I'm over on the Bombshell Stamps Blog with this fun tutorial using Pan Pastels and Versamark Ink.  I love how versatile the Pan Pastels are and how vibrant the color.  For this tutorial I am using the Bombshell Stamp Sets Holiday Accessories and Tattoo Backgrounds.  I adore the Halloween images in both of these.  I also have some papers to match my pastels and a soft brush.
First stamp the spider web from Tattoo Backgrounds onto white with Versamark Ink.
Gently brush the Pastel over the web and it will magically appear.
Isn't it super cool looking?  With a tissue or soft cloth brush the excess chalk off.
Next stamp the spider from the Tattoo Backgrounds on top of the Web and brush the pastels over it.
I love how it pops up!  Don't forget to brush away the excess with a soft cloth or tissue.
For the background stamp the bats from Holiday Accessories onto the background paper.  And brush the pastels over it.  Brush away the excess pastels again.  You can set your pastels with a fixative.  Now cut the pieces and layer onto the card.
Happy Friday Thank you for stopping by to check out the tutorial.
