Vintage Fall Themed Cards

Hello and Happy Fall.  So excited to share these cards I created using Vintage images cut out and layered over some Tim Holtz die cut skeleton leaves.  I cut the leaves from paper I created using oxide inks and the smooshing technique.

The little gold embellishments are Diamond Dots.  Love those little things they are perfect for everything.  The patterned paper is some old Fancy Pants paper from a 6x6 pad. Finally I added some black twine.
I think the set turned out perfect.
Thank you so much for stopping by!   Hope your enjoying the first few days of Fall.

June Swap Card - Different Fold

The June CARS meeting is upon us.  This month the theme is a Different Fold.  I'm not sure it is different enough but I love the Joy fold it's a great way to play with patterned paper and colors.   Plus it's fairly easy to cut and score for quantity and since we are making 18 cards this has to be a consideration.

The paper is Authentique.  I got a pad of it at Tuesday Morning and just loved these little phones.  It was the perfect opportunity to use the Tim Holtz phone die as well as a Lawn Fawn Hello die.

Our meeting is tonight I cannot wait to see all of the folds by everyone else!  Have a wonderful Thursday.

Tropical Card Series - Tiki Guys and a Bonus Box

I fell in love with these Tiki Guys from the Tim Holtz Tropical die set.  As I was making this all I could think about was the Tiki Curse from the Brady Bunch episode that totally sucked me in as a kid(did I just date myself like that?).   I do love how these dies cut watercolor paper.  I washed the paper with browns and then inked up the dies after I cut them for more texture.
The tropical leaves are cut out of Echo Park Paper from the 6x6 pad A Perfect Summer.  The blue background is from the same pad.

So to give these cards as a gift I created a Gift Box for them.  I have a tutorial on this box from 2013 which you can find HERE.  I used one of my new 12 x 12 paper pads from Michael's for the patterned paper for the lid and cardstock for the base.  The flamingo is cut with my silhouette and the stamp is from MFT stamps.
This made a lovely Hostess Gift for a Dear Dear Friend from High School that hosted all of our friends for a BBQ this Summer.  It was a wonderful evening with Friends supporting Friends.

So this is the end of this Series.  I feel like cards are getting a bit boring to me I've made some others for my Etsy shop I will share later but I have an itch to Scrapbook so I think layouts are in my near future!  Not that cards are gone for good but I have to go back and forth to keep the mojo alive!

Thank you for joining me for this Series and I hope you return for everything coming up in the future!  Have a Great Weekend!

Tropical Card Series - Flamigos Birthday and Thank You

I had a short break over the Holiday week.   So I thought we would start this week with a very summery theme Tropical Cards.  I'm starting with a very quick and easy card using my Silhouette and some Greeting Dies from Tim Holtz and Sizzix.
These cards came together quick after I found the correct paper for the Flamingos.  I ended up finding it in a new pad I bought from Michaels.  The greetings are cut with the Tim Holtz Dies out of Gold Mirror Card.  The black dots are from my scraps as is the green paper.
This is going to come to a big finish which I'm excited about!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday last week and Summer is going well! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Fabulous Folds Today

A little peak of today's Folds Class @CraftFancy  I will have a couple of kits left this weekend if your looking for one be sure to stop in or give us a call.

Ice Princess Copic Coloring

For the card set and tag above I used Copic Markers to color the MFT Ice Princess stamp.  Below is  a step out of that coloring.  I chose my colors from my patterned paper and then used my swatch ring "ring of fire" to match it to markers.

Hopefully this all is as clear as mud.  These step outs are a work in progress for me.

The skirt is stamped and cut out from patterned paper.

The only thing I did not include are the skates I added a little W1 to the skates and C0 to the blades.  They barely requried coloring.  The shadows on the complete images are done with B0000 and C0.

Hopefully this was helpful to someone.  Have a great day.

Birdhouse Condo

Love how my little Birdhouse Condo turned out.  I've used Tim Holtz dies for the bird and flowers.  The leaves are Spellbinders.
For the roof I've distressed the edges with a paper distresser.  Those triangles were perfect!
