Anchors Away! Goodbye August! EEEEK

A little Nautical card using Bombshells Vintage Mermaid(anchor) and Koi Tattoo (waves).  First I stamped the Anchor in Versamark and embossed with Brown Sugar Zing embossing powder.  Then on the white piece of cardstock I stamped the Waves in Versamark and brushed them with PearlX Macro Pearl.  The waves were a bit hard to photograph but they look cool in person.  The Navy Anchor is cut out with a Memory Box Die, then I wrapped twine around the entire piece and popped up up on top of the card.  The Adventure Sticker came from a Jillibean Soup Sheet Happy Camper Stew.  It's the perfect Manly card for Palvi's challenge this month at Bombshell!

I can't believe August is over!  I know I'm late posting but I was a little slow recovering from last nights crop and the excitement of my birthday celebration at said crop!  Can't wait to share once I figure it out......  Along with waiting at a police stop on the way home so some very young guy could walk the line and do all of the tests at 12:30AM ....  Argghhhhh  It was a long night.   Today the girls along with Mia and I went to the Library, out to lunch and then to a Demo at Blick Art Supply(Thank You Dianne K for the heads up) on Paper Marbling(ooooh the crazy fun things we can create!).   While there, I completed my Copic Collection, I needed 3 more markers.   Woo Hoo do we get a party for that!  Anyway I'm in full on organizing mode at the moment, as I get areas completed I will share photos.  Ok on to more fun putting away!  Hope everyone has had as Lovely a start to their Holiday Weekend as I have!  Enjoy and be safe.

Tropical Fun!

Ahhhh it's the end of  Summer!  The kids are back in school and I'm sad it wasn't longer even though during summer it seemed like forever!  Every year I say I'm going to make a list of things for us to do and we never do we just wing it.  Someday I will be organized!

Ok so I got a couple of Hero Arts NEON ink pads.  I was so excited to try these!  Being it was summer I got out my Bombshell Hawaiian Girl stamps and went to town with this months sketch (below) by Kathi.  I love how bright and happy this ink is.  However I had no paper that remotely was NEON?   What's a girl to do.  Normally I would shop but it was the middle of the night.  So I pulled out my Neon washi tape and went to town.  I made a stripey paper and then paper to die cut the Memory Box Hibiscus Flower and Tropical Leaf from Memory Box.  I love love love how it turned out!

The entire time I was working on it I was thinking of Chicklets!  I haven't had that gum in forever!  HEEE HEEE I feel a trip to the drug store coming.  I need some Retro gum!

OK here is the August Sketch!

Ok now I'm off to pack for tonights crop!  So excited for the weekend!  Have a great day!

Fabulous Folds for August

It's that time for my Fabulous Folds for August!  I love this Websters Pages paper!  Soooooo very pretty!  It's been a bit difficult getting back into the swing after the Expo but I finished them!  Phew.  I have a few extra kits available in the store for purchase.  Hope everyone is having a great week!

Bombshell Cowboys & Indians Humpday Hop - August

It's that time of the month again.  Time for  a Bombshell Blog Hop!  This months theme is Cowboys & Indians!  I chose to use the Digital Stamp by Bombshell Indian Princess.   I had to break open the new Inktense Pencils that arrived on my doorstep yesterday for my birthday.(Thank You Thank You!)  So I colored her up and fussy cut her out.  I used Floral Ovals and Large Oval dies from Spellbinders to set her down into the card surrounded by an embossed sheet of Kraft Paper using the Basket Weave folder from Darice I chalked it up after I embossed it.  I also used the feather dies from MFT Die-Namics which I also chalked.   Love love love how she turned out.  I probably should have cut her out before I colored my fingers mussed a bit of the coloring but for the first go round with these Awesome pencils not bad at all.  And considering I didn't want to remove them from the plastic because they were so pretty I'm happy!
Thank you so much for stopping by!  Head on out to the other blogs on the list for some more inspiring Bombshell Art!

In honor of the end of summer I chose to do something summery and tropical.  Inspired by what remind me of post card images.

I used the Altered Pages Travel/Transportation Digital Sheets specifically the states.  I printed out the Palm Tree image and inked it up with Tea Dye Distress ink.  Then stamped the Bombshell Hawaiian Girl stamp on watercolor paper and water colored her with my pencils inking the edges with more Tea Dye.  With the focal images done and mounted on cardstock I cut out a couple of Memory Box Border Dies Big Splash and Sandal Bordes.  Then I dug around in my embellishment drawers and found the sequins, day dreamer acrylic and arrow.  I wrote the word Splash on some cardstock and went over it glaze pen adding more bubbles/water spray with the glaze pen.

Hope you enjoy the Hop with all of the Amazing Artists Thanks for stopping by!  Have a Great Day!

Your next stop on the hop is Stephanie Siatta's Blog

Taco Casserole - Dinner Tonight

A great use for leftover Taco Meat.  I usually just make a bunch of taco meat and then I make various dishes from it.  This one has Frito's in it so it was very popular with the family!
