Tree Full Of Hearts Mini Cards - Valentine Card Series

These cards are so fun to make.  I would love to say they are quick but all of those little hearts are glued on individually which makes them super sweet.  I love this little tree stamp from AMuse (I know it's old, but I use it every year)!   The XOXO is Stampin UP I color the leaves green and then go nuts with the hearts in various colors of pink and red.  Everything is layered onto red cardstock.  When I sell these each one gets the cutest little envelope that fits perfectly these tine 3" cards.   Who can resist tiny things?  No one can that's who!

Bucket of Hearts With Love - Valentine Card Series

YAY more cards from Scrap Die Cuts.  I was so on a roll with the last card that I had to continue with another.  More of the same hearts and I found this Awesome Bucket in my box of scrap die cuts.  I believe it is Memory Box or Poppy Stamps as well.  Who doesn't want buckets full of hearts for Valentines?  The greeting is Silver Sticker.  Hardest part of this card was filling the bucket with hearts.  I love making these quick adorable cards for Valentines!
Hope you are enjoying the Valentine Card Ideas.  Thank you for stopping by for a visit!

With Love Hearts - Valentine Card Series

I'm having fun doing up some Valentine Cards from my scraps especially my die cut scrap box.   You know how you go to make something and the die either cuts more than you need, the negative is great or the color or size was just not right so you cut it again to finish up.  Now your left with all of these extra pieces.  I have a box full of these because I hate to throw them out.  So I've started pulling a pile of them out every once in awhile and making up some cards.  Here the hearts and circle are leftover.  I know the heart die is Memory Box and it is the negative from a die.
I used some Washi tape strips for the greeting and the polka dots.  The patterned paper is from my scrap bin.  With a little black ribbon it was a quick lovely card.

It really is a great way to used up your scraps.  I like to get the kids involved as well.   I will have them pick out some items and then we have to create something with it.  It's fun to work with them listen to their ideas and it really helps gets the creativity going especially if your not feeling the MOJO.  You could even ask a friend to play along!
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look.  Hope your having a Wonderful week so far!

Tropical Card Series - Tiki Guys and a Bonus Box

I fell in love with these Tiki Guys from the Tim Holtz Tropical die set.  As I was making this all I could think about was the Tiki Curse from the Brady Bunch episode that totally sucked me in as a kid(did I just date myself like that?).   I do love how these dies cut watercolor paper.  I washed the paper with browns and then inked up the dies after I cut them for more texture.
The tropical leaves are cut out of Echo Park Paper from the 6x6 pad A Perfect Summer.  The blue background is from the same pad.

So to give these cards as a gift I created a Gift Box for them.  I have a tutorial on this box from 2013 which you can find HERE.  I used one of my new 12 x 12 paper pads from Michael's for the patterned paper for the lid and cardstock for the base.  The flamingo is cut with my silhouette and the stamp is from MFT stamps.
This made a lovely Hostess Gift for a Dear Dear Friend from High School that hosted all of our friends for a BBQ this Summer.  It was a wonderful evening with Friends supporting Friends.

So this is the end of this Series.  I feel like cards are getting a bit boring to me I've made some others for my Etsy shop I will share later but I have an itch to Scrapbook so I think layouts are in my near future!  Not that cards are gone for good but I have to go back and forth to keep the mojo alive!

Thank you for joining me for this Series and I hope you return for everything coming up in the future!  Have a Great Weekend!

Tropical Card Series - Hello Love

So this card was basically the inspiration for this Series.  I received this Watercolor Flamingo in the Simon Says Stamp card kit along with a set of water based crayola markers.  I had a great time water coloring her with those markers and my waterbrush.  I think she turned out amazing!   For a little extra something I added so m very small rhinestones to look like water bubbles and I went over the Hello Love in Glaze Pen.

The Card Series is moving along at a pretty good clip now.  Only 2 more projects to go!  How exciting!  Thank you so much for hanging in there with me!  I can't wait to share the last project!  See you in a couple of days!

Tropical Card Series - Adventure Shaker Card

So today I have a fun shaker card.  It started with a bit of watercolor background I created using all of the various blues I had.  I thought it looked very oceany.  So I stamped a palm tree with a bit of island.  I water colored the tree with my new Daniel Smith watercolors.  There is a little shaker building pic on my Instagram.
For the frame I used some Spellbinders dies and acetate.  The frame was cut from white cardstock which I stamped with a Leaf from the same set as the Palm Tree, retired Stampin Up - Do the Hula.  The leaves are stamped with Distress Ink Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint.
I created a foam tape shaker box and added some Seashore Micro Beads and a few blue and green sequins.  I did get a bit carried away with the Seashore Beads.  Eeeep you can no longer see my little Island I painted a lovely sandy color.   Oh well it's still cute.  The word Adventure is cut from my newest super deal the Tim Holtz Adventure Thinlets.  I got these at Hobby Lobby last week for $7 that's almost 60% off YAY!!!  I love a bargain I end up using right away!   The blue twine or Caribbean is from the Twinery.  I ordered a bunch of solids with some friends awhile ago it's about time I used some.  The card base is a dark Kraft.

WOW this was a wordy post....  Sorry about that.  Thank you so much for coming by to visit.  I really appreciate it!  Hope your having a Wonderful Week!

Tropical Card Series - Flamigos Birthday and Thank You

I had a short break over the Holiday week.   So I thought we would start this week with a very summery theme Tropical Cards.  I'm starting with a very quick and easy card using my Silhouette and some Greeting Dies from Tim Holtz and Sizzix.
These cards came together quick after I found the correct paper for the Flamingos.  I ended up finding it in a new pad I bought from Michaels.  The greetings are cut with the Tim Holtz Dies out of Gold Mirror Card.  The black dots are from my scraps as is the green paper.
This is going to come to a big finish which I'm excited about!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday last week and Summer is going well! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

America The Beautiful - Stars and Stripes Card Series

It's that time the last card in this series but not least at all.  The girl is a free digital stamp by Whimsie Doodles Stamps.  I love these stamps illustrated by Melyssa Connolly they are so adorable!   I love this little girl.  She is waiting for the 4th of July Parade don't you think.  I loved coloring her with Copic Markers and got on a bit of a coloring kick with the previous card in this series.  The Copic colors used are in the photo below.

For this card I have die cut the patterned paper (Pebbles Let Freedom Ring series) with the Lifestyle Crafts Banner die set.  The girl I fussy cut and positioned onto the John Adams paper so that I can have her holding one of the sparklers which I have Stickled.  I've just drawn a line with my Copic Multiliner and  a ruler.  The America the Beautiful banner is cut from the Samuel Adams paper and popped up on the card.  I've also added a bit of twine at the top.  I almost forgot the red stars are from the USA in the last card.

So now we've reached the end of this series.  The next series of cards will be Tropical Summer cards Fun Fun Fun I can't wait for you to see what all of the fun cards and a special surprise!  Can't wait Can't wait Can't wait......  Ok enough for now hope your having a Wonderful Start to your week.  Hugs!

USA Bug - Stars and Stripes Card Series

Hello All! We're on to the 4th card in this series.  I couldn't resist this little guy and Copic Coloring him or her depending on how you see it.  Lately a little bit at a time I've been unmounting my favorite Stampin Up Stamps from the past.  This little guy is from the Love Bug set.  When I was painting the Aileen's Tack it Over & Over on this set I saw it and thought it would be perfect for the 4th of July.  Such cute little sections to color all different shades of Red & Blue leaving a bit of white. You can see the colors used below.

The bunting edge was cut with a Border from a Crafter's Companion Create a Card set.  It's done in 2 colors and the layered bug on top.  The entire piece is set on top of a blue piece of cardstock that was embossed with an Anna Griffin folder Striped Stars.  The USA comes from a set of Lifestyle Craft Patriotic Dies.

The entire card makes me a bit Happy, not that it's the best but it turned out the way I saw it in my head which is rare.  Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out this series of cards!  I can't thank you enough!  Hope you have a GREAT WEEKEND!  Hugs!

Ahoy On Your Birthday - Stars and Stripes Card Series

We're more than half way done with this FUN card series.  Today I'm using Anna Griffin letterpress folders, dies and clear stamps to extend the nautical one more time!

I've inked up Anna's Anchor Letterpress plate with Archival Ink and run a piece of white cardstock through the Cuttlebug with to create the letterpress look.  For the anchor clear stamp I stamped it in Staz On on Strathmore Mixed Media cardstock which is the whitest paper I have that works with my Zig Clean Color Pens which is how I colored the anchor.  It is die cute with Labels 4 from Spellbinders.  The greeting OnYour Birthday are all Anna Griffin Dies as is the Striped Stars embossed strip under the anchor.
I really adore how this card turned out.  Thank you so much for stopping by today hope you are enjoying your June!

You Brighten My Day - Stars and Stripes Card Series

Yay back on track.  The kids are finishing up the first semester of Summer School then going off to their respective jobs helping me out at work!  (DOUBLE Yay my office is going to get rid of most of the boxes while they are there!!!)  Our latest card series is underway and getting me excited for the upcoming 4th of July festivities!   I really wish we had a beach here but I will have to dream of lighthouses and beaches until I can get back to Florida.

Today's card will suffice as a manifestation of my dream.....  I love this little Lighthouse on the beach from Lawnfawn and I've colored it with Zig Clean Color Markers on Strathmore Cold Press watercolor paper.   The lighthouse of course comes with it's own stripes so I have added some stars in the night sky using my water brush to remove some of the color and putting a rhinestone in the middle of the washed out dot and a little yellow put back in so that the rhinestone looks as if it glows.  I love this technique wouldn't it e wonderful for a wedding or shower card so it looks like diamonds are glowing?  Or little street lamps, or lights on a Christmas tree.  The possibilities are endless.....

Thank you so much for stopping by today and getting a little Beachy stars and stripes.  Have a Wonderful remainder of your week!

Shoot For The Stars - Stars and Stripes Card Series

Good Morning.   I have been working on getting this series started since Monday.  But you know how you get into that cycle of being tired and not having enough time to get everything done in a day. Then can't fall asleep at night thinking about all of the things you haven't completed, which just adds to the vicious cycle of not getting enough things done while being exhausted all day.  That's about how it was coming out of May and recovering from my Spring cold.  Now we are all back to our regular selves I hope to get back on track.

This series will be a somewhat Patriotic one to there will be 5 cards with Stars and Stripes hopefully they will jump start you to make your own Patriotic Inspired card for upcoming events in your life or maybe you will find a technique you just have to try or revisit.

Today's card uses a clear stamp set from My Favorite Things Stamps.  I've heat embossed the greeting in Gold and stamped the stars all around in shades of red and blue.  Everything is layered onto blue cardstock and a red card.  I have of course used a ton of Stickles on the stars and some striped ribbon to add the stripe part of our series!

Hope you enjoy it and your having a wonderful start to your Summer.  Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today!

Thank You Sea Shells - Navy and Gold Series

We made it to the 5th card in the color series.  YAY I have been excited to use some new products and techniques throughout this series of cards.  This card is no exception all new products mostly Anna Griffin again.  The Anna Griffin Sea Shells are stamped on a scalloped die cut piece of white paper with Adirondack ink.   I love the super crisp image this ink gave these stamps and was pleasantly surprised how well these clear polymer stamps worked.  The Thank You is also from a new Anna Griffin set of greetings that came with die cuts.  The small oval was cut with that set and the larger gold was cut with a Lifestyle Crafts oval die.  I added some navy grosgrain ribbon behind the words and popped up the entire scalloped piece onto gold mirrorcard.
I am so happy with the way that this card series turned out I'm already working on another one or two!  YAY!  Look for a Patriotic Series starting later this week.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to visit my blog!  It is so appreciated!  Have a Wonderful WEEK!

Hello Summer - Navy and Gold Series

I had some fun last week creating this card. I heat embossed the gold dot background(an old Stampin Up Stamp) onto Kraft cardstock and die cut it with a dotted rectangle die from Memory Box.  Once that was done I layered it onto a piece of gold mirrorcard with foam tape.  The Octopus again from Memory Box is also foam taped up over the navy ribbon.  I was excited to use one of my new Anna Griffin dies for the Hello.
Originally the octopus had only one rhinestone eye but the MR. said that didn't look right.  I was thinking he was a profile octopus but I guess not two eyes are better than one for sure even more so when they are rhinestones.

Hopefully your enjoying the color series.  I am excited to do this there are 2 more cards coming up one on Thursday and one next early next week.  Thank you again for stopping by!

Thank You - Navy and Gold Series

Here is another in my Gold and Navy Series of cards.  This one uses Versamark Ink with some Perfect Gold Perfect Pearls by Ranger applied with a soft brush.  I love this subtle vintage look.   I've again used the gold over navy cardstock from my stash and some ivory and gold twine along with an Elizabeth Craft gold Thank You sticker.

I love the idea of incorporating all of my gold coloring items I have in my stash!  It makes creating fun to challenge yourself to use some of your supplies!

I did download a new app for my phone to challenge myself it's called Randomizer!  OH My I've added my various mediums into it and I choose 1 or 2 to create a card with!  I currently have 53 supply items although when I look through my stash I add a couple more each time.  How quickly we forget what we own.  I love this app to challenge me to use it up!

Hope your having a Wonderful week.  Enjoy your weekend and thank you for stopping by.

Thinking of You - Navy and Gold Series

Love the Navy and Gold together so much so I had to use gold leaf bits on this project with Elizabeth Craft Design stickers.  I love how it's turned out on a piece of gold shimmer over navy paper from Club Scrap from my stash.

It is a bit difficult to see but the navy cardstock in the background is embossed with a stripy embossing folder.

We've had a busy month May is always crazy around here with the end of everything including performances and finals and 8th grade for Abbigayle.  Then just to be safe we've thrown in Junior Prom for Emily and jobs for both girls as well as 2 new pets for the house (2 Budgies named Felix & Syd).  We've also set up our backyard for entertaining and family fun.  I would hate for anyone to be bored.  Things are calming down now as today marks the first day of Summer School for the kids and a New Job for the Mr. starting next week.

Hope everyone's Summer is off to a Wonderful start!  Thanking for stopping by today!

Fab 5 - Day 5 - Love You More

A really quick card using a Marvy Heart Punch and a stamp by My Favorite Things.   Again using the Doodlebug Papers.  These are Christmas papers but the backs are just red and white perfect for Valentines.

Woo Hoo the weekend is here.  At 8am this morning the kids asked if they could play out in the snow.  Had to get back to the fort building.  I'm teaching Copic Basics today at Craft Fancy.  Most rewarding class ever.  I love how people leave the class amazed at what a few markers can do.  Dinner tonight at our house with friends I'm going to try a new marinade for pork tenderloin.  YUM.

Happy Happy Weekend!  Hope everyone is having fun!  Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Fab 5 - Day 4 Happy Valentines Day

Such a pretty sentiment.  These dies are by Cheery Lynn.  I did use my Memory Box Heart Die for the background and more of the Doodlebug papers.  The dark color isn't black it's Grey like the rest of the cards.  I've added some rhinestones for a little texture.

Happy Friday!  The kids were excited to play in the snow after school.  Abs was a little sad when it was time to go to the Ice Rink for skating but she showed off her bunny hops and lunges to us in class tonight.  Em went to the sledding hill with Anne who had never been sledding, ever.   She loved it.  Then they all three built a fort in the snow after skating.

It was a nice Friday after yesterdays storm...  Hope your all having a great week, thanks so much for stopping by!

XOXO - Fab 5 Valentine Card day 3

Early post today.  This card uses Doodlebug Paper still  like the others.  All the pieces are cut using the Memory Box Dies.  Love the stem and hearts from the tree set but most of all I am in love with the Parker Font.  Super Versatile!  Cute or modern clean lines.  Love it!!!!

So it's rain and then snow for us today.  No fun outside so today we are inside.   I'll putting together the March Class Schedule for all my instructors out there let me know what you want to teach.

Hope everyone is safe and warm inside with all of the storms coming from various directions!  Have a great Thursday.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
