We Had a Fun Weekend!

We had a busy but fun filled weekend. Friday Abbi had a play date after school then we went to the High School Football game where Emily got to cheer the first half of the game with the Varsity Girls she was thrilled. Then Lily came and spent the night they watched a bit of a movie. Then it was off to bed! Up at 6:30 to get the girls ready for Homecoming. Saturday was the reschedule of our Homecoming festivities since we were rained out a couple of weeks ago. The team moms were amazing they gave the girls tattoos and stickers and glitter spray in their hair. We played Maywood and it was a very tough/close game but we did end up winning in the end. Then the girls cheered for the team and gave the players goodie bags. They got all kinds of goodies themselves including lunch and cupcakes from Arielle(it was her birthday). By afternoon we were all exhausted and headed home. Abbi had a birthday party to go to at Chucky Cheese and Em and I went to the library to get reading books for her for the week! I couldn't cook after all that so Chinese Food it was!

We continued to try to put the house back together. More things got put away and felted etc. Emily got to go to the roller rink with a friend which was quite amusing since she's never been before. There was a lot of falling down at one point she was under a table on the floor laughing so hard we couldn't get her up. I'm a bad Mommy I was laughing as well! Poor Kid!

So this week at Linnecards the feature is Ribbon. Here I used the Maya Road Sheer Ribbon. How stinkin cool is this? The papers are Doodlebug and American Crafts. Be sure to check out the gallery for other clever creations.
This coming weekend is World Card Making Day be sure check back for more info!

Things are getting there!

The living room is almost there! I'm playing with paint chips trying to decide the color of the walls so it won't look like this for long but at least the floors are all done. The installers came back yesterday to fix the family room floor where I broke it. They found a bead under the board under the cushion. The did ask Abbi who's bead it was(it was purple). She very pointedly told them it was Emily's from her birthday gifts. They had to laugh! They also fixed the threshold into the powder room it wasn't quite right. So now the hard part begins! HA!
I love this background stamp! I had to have it all the different fonts and languages are so much fun. The background here is made with alcohol ink and a pearl additive. I had a lot of fun making these!

WARNING - Work Zone

My house is trashed. Well most of it is in the garage! I was trying to keep it in until it's all done but now I think we may do more than we originally planned? Anyway we got all new flooring downstairs last week it's all the same all the way through the house. Now our walls look hideous though so I want to paint. Dave doesn't. He's still reeling from the dump truck of mulch that was delivered a couple of weeks ago so I guess I see his point. I just can't see bringing everything back in the house then having to move it all out again to paint if we ever decide on a color? I'm crazy I know. I did price scaffolding rental at Home Depot it's only $22 a day and we can't paint with out it considering how tall our ceilings are. Oooh and we got 2 new area rugs one for the family room and one for the living room I can't wait to put them down! This weekend Dave put felt on the bottom of most of the furniture so that can start coming back in the house.
OOOH it's also time for the Weekly Feature over at Linnecards. This week is Doodlebug! Loving this coordinated paper! So much fun! In this card I used Tangerine. Be sure to check out the GALLERY eveyrones projects are wonderful!
Also be sure to keep an eye out for the ScrapPink Crop coming this weekend at Linnecards the prizes and challenges are going to be a TON OF FUN!

Back to Reality!

This week's feature at Linnecards.com is Paint! There are some amazing projects in the gallery using paint with accetate and other techniques you will definately want to check out! Above I just stamped with paint I also used a spray webbing for the background paper!

So things are getting back on track now that the kids are in their 3rd week of school. We're settling in for a fun year. We've had orientation for the parents, I've gotten the calendar finished and distributed and things are moving along. Now at least I'm back to having a couple of hours to myself in the afternoon WOO HOO!
