Working On Shakers

So today Christine came and our kids played while we scrapped.  Ok I'll be honest our kids played and I stared at her while she worked.  Paula came later and worked as well but I was pretty beat after my whirlwind week so all I got was half a layout done and carstock cut for my class tomorrow.  Oh well I have half a layout done of Grandpa & Emily dancing in the lake!  HA

The kids had a ball.  They had play dates all day long.  After Jack left they had 2 little girls over and played until dinner time.  They were tired little girls later on.  Dave went to WI for the week to meet up with his friends for lunch and plan their events for the year so he was excited about that.  Apparently he's now in charge of the Galena event!  HA Silly silly men putting him in charge!  Just kidding Sweetie you'll do Great!

So the card above is for my class on Wednesday on Shakers.  Love the vintage feel of this one!  You all know I'm on a Valentine kick and this week is the big rush!

What an event at the store this weekend.  It was crazy busy from the time we opened until we finally closed the door for the night!  No time to breath.  We got to see so many happy faces though that was the best part.  It's alway festive on an event day!

It's good to be home and getting back into my routine!

The kids are in the middle of Birthday Party time.  A party here a party there!  Gotta make more Birthday Cards look for those in a couple of weeks.

The card above is from my class Monday.  Quick Valentines!   Just super fun and easy.

I've been having fun creating Valentines.  This is one from my Quick Valentine Class Next week!  Can't wait for this one.  I want to make tons of these cards.

We made it back from Winter CHA exhausted and excited about all of the new things we saw.  It was a long trip but well worth it.  Copic class was wonderful we learned lots.  Got to spend a lot of time with Mou which is always fun we laughed so much!  Picked out tons of new product and we can't wait for it to arrive.  Met lots of new wonderful people.  California was at least a little warmer than here, which isn't hard.  I missed Dave and the Girlies terribly, so it will be wonderful to spend some quality time with them this weekend after our event at the store!  Hope everyone is keeping warm!  I'll be back tomorrow with more Valentines!

EEEK I've been MIA - Totally Not Intentional

Time just seems to be moving so very fast!  Seems like just yesrterday I blogged.  YIKES it was a week ago.  Where does the time fly to?  I've been on a New Year Cleaning Spree.  Moving furniture cleaning under things, our recycle bin is overflowing each week.  I got caught up in the putting away of the holiday decorations.  I have 4 more rooms to do and I'll  be done.  Then I assume I'll have to start all over again?

Still working on Valentines.  Have to take a wee break to work on my Swap cards for tomorrow night, I started them but then got distracted with all of the lovely new papers and stamps that keep coming out.  I have to stay the course and finish what I planned.

The card above I made with an image from an image swap and my copics.  The paper is Junkitz.  I so loved this Valentine line when it was out!  Cute Cute!

Have a great day!

The Snow is Coming The Snow is Coming..........

Supplies Cardstock, Ribbon & Patterned Paper American Crafts, Cricut - Lyrical Letters & Celebrations

So they've been predicting all day we were going to get snow tonight.  I didn't know this when I got stopped by the caravan of CAT tractors pulling into the municipal drive over here this morning, but I coulda guessed it.  So we started at 1-2" and now we're up to 7-12" it's progressively getting larger as time goes by and the snow isn't even supposed to start until midnight.  I'm skeptical but then that's just growing up in Chicagoland for ya.  If the phone wakes me up cancelling school tomorrow I'll freak.  I have 2 classes to teach tomorrow and my Ribbon one is chock full of people.

So the above card is one from my Ribbon Class tomorrow night.  There are still a few spots left.  We are using ribbon in non-traditional ways.  Come on you know you have a HUGEUNGO(love love this word it describes my stash perfectly) ever growing stash of ribbon and you know you need some new ways to use it!  You gotta take this class!  At least you can go home with 4 new ways to use ribbon!

So now I'm off to chant Snow Snow Go Away come again some other day.  Well can it be a day of my choosing?  Have a good one!

Hugs and Kisses all around!

Mini Note Cards Created with Bazzill Cardstock,  Stampin Up White Cardstock,  Amuse Stamp(Tree), Savvy Stamps(XOXO), Momento Ink, Copic Marker, Fiskars Heart Punch, Tweezers and lots of patience!

So back to my obsession with Valentines.  I have a ton of  little projects in the works.  Here is one of the first I completed.  I thought this was going to be so simple really.  So why not do multiples.  Then I got down to it and it took forever to glue these little punched hearts on.  Oh well I love them they are so sweet!  But 12 was my limit!   These went into my Shop, but I'm contemplating taking them out and using them myself.

How was your Monday?

Card uses AC Paper, Bazzill Cardstock, Various Ribbons, Schlosser Designs Stamps(Greeting)

My day was GREAT.  The kids were back in school, Dave was off to work.  I was alone in the silence.  I completed 17 cards today very productive indeed!  To be fair a bunch were all the same for sets and I had colored the images last night in front of the TV but still I cut, assembled, embellished and bagged them up.  Then I started in on Valentines because well I'm a little obsessed with valentines at the moment.  I still have to photograph what I did today but I am sharing with you a card for my Ribbon Round Up Class.  We're using Ribbon in non-Traditional Ribbon to Card applicaitons.  Hmmm have to think of a better way to say that!

So anyway how was your Monday?  Hope you had a wonderful start for your week!

Out with the Old!

How we spend our New Year Time.  We smash up the Gingerbread House.  The girls kept asking when they could smash the house down.  This year due to a serious Christmas Cookie shortage in our house (which I equate to just not having time to bake at all) the house almost didn't make it to this point.   Everyone was eating it way to quickly, they almost ate it all up! Notice there is really  no candy left!  But alas it made it to the last day and Daddy brought out the hammers.  Then the real fun began!  Who knew the tearing down would be almost as much fun as putting it  up!   It's a fun if not odd family tradition in our house!  We're silly that way!

Have a great Sunday!  Back to the real world tomorrow!

Ahhhh Winter Is Still Here

New Store Banner made with Spellbinders Nesties, AC Glitter Paper, BoBunny Double Dots, Storybook Cricut Cartridge and Maya Rd. Ribbon.

So today begins a big crazy clearance sale at the store.  I'm off to fill up the classroom with clearance merchandise to ready it for the arrival of customer!  Woo Hoo!  Then it's back home to start taking down Christmas stuff.  Abbi doesn't understand why it's still Winter now that the Holiday's are over.  Oh poor Chicago baby doesn't understand how long winter actually is here!  EEEK!

Anyhoo after all of that I will continue to work on Valentines for the shop and some swap items for this month.  Gotta figure out my ATC swap for this month I have a couple ideas I just have to try them out for actual doability!  Hmmm is that a word?  I have grand ideas usually they are not actually possible!  HA

Hope your enjoying your weekend!

Happy New Year!

Here's Wishing Everyone a Happy Healthy Safe 2010!

The girls enjoyed staying up until midnight as you can see.  The noise makers finally came out.  EEEEK!  We had fun though!  We snacked on finger foods and chocolate cake all night and rang in the new year on Anmial Crossing the girls new favorite game!   Today was just cleaning and getting stuff done around the house!  I almost think the girls are ready to go back to school!  Did I really say that?

Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve and is having a great start to their New Year!
