Scrappy Saturday - Spring Means

Spring to these little cuties means we get to sit in the sun.  It's our favorite thing to do, well that and barking at anyone that dares to walk on their side of the street or any bikes.  Used some Washi Tape on this layout along with a kit from the Scraproom.

Valentine Cards - Washi Tape Valentine

So I'm trying to get some Valentine cards done and use up some of my stash that was part of my 2021 Goals this year. (I have a post on this here) I have an entire container of Washi tape I want to use up so I pulled out reds, pinks and blacks and grabbed some more from my regular stash to create these backgrounds.
I then pulled out all my Love/Valentine dies and used these to create the greetings and to cut the larger hearts.  All of this is popped up with foam tape over the washi tape background.
It was fun using up stash and some dies I forget I have.

I love the washi tape backgrounds I think I'll try this for another set of cards at some point.  I will say this though, washi tape is hit or miss.  There was a lot of cussing when I would get to a roll that just would not peal up.  I think I tossed about 3 full rolls, my patience is lacking when things don't work as they should.  There was a lot of garbagey pieces for the ones that worked even.

I am going to revise my 2021 goals just a bit when I get to the quarter to include cards and other projects not just layouts.  Since I  do all kinds of paper crafts and as long as I'm using stash it should count?  No?

July Swap Card - Washi Tape

It's the CARS Club Day (Chicago Area Rubber Stampers) YAY!  This is my swap card for this month.  I shared a sneak of my frozen lollies on my Instagram about a month ago.  This is the finished product.  I love how it turned out. The challenge for this month was Washi Tape.

I used a scalloped set of Washi  from Ms. Sparkle and Co. Paperie (Pastel Rainbow Scalloped Solid).  Makes it look like a Sherbet Popsicle!   The Popsicle die and the banner die are from MFT and the stamps are Lawn Fawn.  The ink is Hero Arts Watermelon.  The paper is Lawn Fawn Pink Lemonade Fruit Smoothie for most of the cards.  Some is BoBunny double dots.

We create 18 cards total for our Swap group.

My Swap bucket has seen better days but I Love that my cards fit so well in it!  I will use it till it cannot function anymore!

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a GREAT DAY!

Washi Away - March Bombshell Stamps Blog Hop

It's time for the March Bombshell Stamps Humpday Blog Hop!  This months challenge was to use Washi tape.  So I used a lot of Washi tape. I love any opportunity to break out the tape and play with it.  The cloud background, grass and bathing suit on my favorite stamp Bombshell Angel are all made of Washi Tape.   I did color the Angel with Copics and matched the flower in her hair to her bathing suit.

Be sure to check out all of the amazing creations below on the Blog Hop!

This card started in Illinois and then traveled to Tennessee where it was completed with my limited craft kit I brought along for spring break.  I thought of a million things I could add to it but alas they were at home.  Spring break has been fun so far until Tuesday when we woke up to snow and had near white out conditions while out to lunch.  We apologized to everyone for bringing the snow with us and our little dog was not at all amused to find her warm playground here invaded with the white stuff she so detests.  Hopefully today will be warmer!

Have a wonderful day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous Friday - Bombshell Tutorial - Creating Washi Tape

I'm over on the Bombshell Blog Today with a Tutorial.

I love creating my own Washi Tape and the Bombshell Stamps make the perfect tools to create coordinating tape to go with any of our stamp sets.  With some colorful tissue paper, stamps, permanent ink and a sticker maker you can make your own as well.

First stamp each strip of tissue with any of the stamps you choose.  Here I am using the star from Tattoo Backgrounds on pink tissue paper.
Also stamp the star background from the same set (Tattoo Backgrounds) and stamped the yellow tissue paper.
Then stamp the crown onto the turquoise tissue paper from Butterfly Queen.
Now run each strip of tissue paper through the Xyron sticker maker or cover the back of each piece with a dry adhesive.
Take a butterfly from Butterfly Queen and stamp and color the image.  I did fussy cut it out so I can bend the wings up later.
Cut down each strip to fit onto the card front and punch a fishtail on each end with a square punch.
I layered the strips onto the card and added the butterfly.  I then used a Thank You sticker as a greeting.  I hope you love creating your own Washi Tape to embellish your cards.
Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope your all having a Wonderful Holiday week.

A Little Bombshell Fussy Cutting

I have a few of these Bombshell stamps!  Love Love Love them!  They are perfect for my Copics and for my favorite Fussy Cutting techniques.  Here I did a little paper piecing with her bathing suit and some Jillybean Soup Papers.  Then I cut her out when I was done.  I have a couple little tricks first is shown below.  I am not good at doing inside parts so I just matched a marker to background paper I was putting her on and colored it in.  Easy Peasy, and I don't need to stress out.  The other is to go around the outside cut edges with a Momento Tuxedo Black marker when I'm done in case I got a little over zealous with the lines.  All better and pretty.

Copics Used  Skin - E00, E21, E41, R21  Hair - E35, E57, E99, Y21
I know I've been MIA lately but we've had the stomach flu as of late so I've been dealing with that.  Hopefully it will be ending soon.

Thank you so much for stopping by hope everyone is well!

Lawnscaping Challenge #51 - Together

This weeks inspiration was is:

I had fun using the Love n' Breakfast  set by Lawn Fawn.   I colored the images with Copic.  I cut them out and layered and popped them up with foam tape.   The greeting is a combination of 2 in the set, which I cut apart to use them.  Other items used:  Patterned Paper - BoBunny Double Dots, Washi Tape - Recollections, Jute - Canvas Corp., Spellbinders Labels 2,  Heart Punches and Border Punch - Fiskars, Other  Ink - Chalk and my WRMK Corner Chomper.  Be sure to check out all of the other amazing projects over at the Lawnscaping Blog.

It's Tuesday and getting warmer again.  The kids are sad the snow is melting all their work on forts in the yard has gone in vain with the rain yesterday and the warmer weather.  They may still get another chance so no worries.  Here in Chicago anything is possible.  Off to work in a bit.  Can't wait to see what new has come in.  Hope you all have a great day!  Thank You for stopping by!
