New Catalogs! I love my UPS dude!

Oh yeah I went to the mailbox yesterday after the mailman made a lot of noise putting an Envie of pics in my door. Lets just say it was an awesome mail day! Emily's dance pics arrived. Got my DD order. My free copy of the Stampin Up 2005-2006 catty was in my mailbox!

OH sorry did I just slip that in there? THAT's right the new catty is here! I called Paula right away to tell her I'd bring it with when we went out last night. Then I got halfway through saw the funky chicken stamp set and had to call Dianne. So I kept her on the phone for about an hour describing all the new sets in detail! That's me the most annoying phone caller in the world. I feel bad now come on who wants to hear someone describe a stamp set? In hindsight I'm so extremely rude! Anyway at some point in our(my) conversation the UPS dude stops in front of the house. YIKES I wasn't expecting him what could he be bringing, it's probably something for Dave. No NO NO one of the boxes has Stampin Up on the side. Hmmmm I haven't ordered anything except my preorderfor 2 cases of catty's and that SU box is not shaped like the Catalog box. The other box is too tall for a catalog box. Hmmmmmm He brings them to the door I'm standing there with Dianne on the phone and plop in my arms Yup it's the Catty's they are heavy!

So I open the heavy box first my 2 cases in one box in the other my Great Rewards Black Bag and Portfolio with the Hot Pink lining that reads "It's all about the Creativity". Gottal love free stuff and free stuff that is cute is even better. Well I supposed I earned it but I prefer to think of it as a prize! Hee Hee!

So I know your curious how is it? The new stamps sets are awesome. I love most of the new stuff and it's already on my wishlist. The new accessories though well they will blow you out of the water! We have new die cut sheets cute boxes including a purse box. The Pockets and Pieces are AWESOME. There are very cool Accordian book kits and Saddle stitch book kits in Die cut sheets it looks like. New beautiful patterned paper. Couple of cool new punches. And hold on to your hats Watercolor CRAYONS. At the back the Hodgepodge Hardware kit that was already presented in a Mag is very cool. And they've added clear buttons and twill in 3 widths. Last but not least for me anyway is grossgrain in Moss and Caramel! Oh and the Tattoo kits have been redisgned and they are adorable. No more Anchor!

All in all it's a beautiful new catalog. And as usual I have stopped mourning all that was discontinued or retired. Well everything except the Paisly stamp. That one stamp may take me awhile to get over! We'll see maybe the new mini has in it maybe something to make up for it. Ok Mourning for the poor Paisly stamp over.

Now I have the fun of planning my Open House to showcase some of the new stuff! It's so hard to pick off my wishlisth what to get! I need to get started on new samples for the boards! I have all of July off to create new stuff! I'm very excited about that! Everyone keeps asking about July Stamp Camp though. But I think I like it this way no camp in July and an open house in August. We'll see this is the first time the catty has come this early so it may change. But someday I want to go to convention and that's in July so probably won't change that!

Anyway later Paula and I went to the Reliv meeting for Pam. We are going to try the product and see how we feel. I would love more energy and no PMS! My goals! Hee Hee!

Have a great day!

Now for Scraptalk

I'm so pumped! Last night I recieved a comment on one of my projects from none other than Heidi Swapp herself! I am so honored and touched she took the time out to comment. I couldn't see straight I was jumping up and down saying OH OH OH OH! Dave was looking for the bug! LOL He kept asking what was wrong all I could say was Heidi Swapp put the thing on my thing. Still hyperventilating he asked me who is Heidi Swapp?? What??? have you not listened to me speak for the past 2+ weeks about this woman! Proof he really doesn't listen. So I grabbed a magazine and showed him he seemed impressed. Who knows he might not have been listening??? LOL Anyway she commented on the box I made him for Father's Day which caught his interest(about him you know) and he was talking to the screen telling her yes he did like it very much! Too Funny! We're quite the pair! So that made my day! It was like winning the lottery for me anyway! Better I would say!

All that said the more I thought about the past few weeks the more I thought about how proud I was I got so much done! I've completed 13 layouts 2 boxes 2 cards and a clipboard. Not to mention designed and held stamp camp and finished one swap. I'm really on a roll! Finally out of my slump, Dianne calls it Unslumped. The title of her next inspiring idea book for the scrapbook industry. I'm currently the Anti Slump! LOL 2 of those layouts were the challenge layouts at Croppers Cottage you can view those here I think I'm most pround of those and the extra one I did for the HS contest, those were completely unplanned and spontaneous layouts! I've planned out 3 layouts today! I'm ready to go and scrap! It's a such a load off to be able to sit down and finish somehting finally!

So the kids are napping and I'm going ot throw a load of laundry in and start a new layout! Woo Hoo! Hope everyone is having a great day!

First the Birthday Bash

Emily's party was a success! She had a great time. Wore her adorable party dress she picked out and Abbi's new little carpi outfit! She got great gifts clothes yes because every little girl needs cool clothes but lots of Polly stuff and some outdoor toys! Yes Dave ordered way too much Pizza but other than that it was great! Warm and sunny the kids played in the pool for a little bit. After some of the guests left Paula & Mel & I took a little road trip to Archivers for a field trip leaving the kids with the guys. Who per Marc's request watched racing I think. He was in control of the remote when we left! All in all a great day. I'll up load pics soon!

Working Hard? Or Hardly Working?

So I finished almost all of my HS contest entry you can view it here in my gallery. We'll see voting is some time next week. I have one more item to add but it's not done yet. Working on it. It might make it???

I'm not supposed to be worrying about this now I need to be getting ready for tomorrow. Emily turns the big 5. I have the cake in the oven and the eggs for the salad boiling. I've done some of the centerpieces for the table but I need to finish cleaning the kitchen and clearing the dining room put on the tablecloth and clean off the coffee table and dresser in the LR.

I still have to head to the store tomorrow and get the sour cream I forgot today and lettuce the stuff at Sam's was disgusting. We will also need ice and beer so have to go anyway.

Now I need to go and do some work it's getting late and I'm fading!

Be back tomorrow or later today! LOL

Color Challenge!

Did this layout today for the color challenge at Croppers Cottage came out pretty cute!

Deep Thoughts

Exciting Moments

So Emily is my little Shoe Tier! She is so excited she tied her show all by herself while getting ready for her T-Ball game just now. Everyone is getting phone calls tonight to celebrate! I can't believe she'll be 5 in 3 days. She is growing up oh so fast!!!!! Mommy blues!

"DON'T ANYONE PANIC"

So yesterday was fun we sat out back by the pool. Well me by the pool and the girls in the pool and out of the pool and in the pool. You get the idea. Then later we got ready and went to Grandma's house so Dave and I could go do a little Birthday shopping for the birthday girl. The kids were playing in the front yard when we left and when we returned. Various neighbors stopped by to say hi.

So Birthday shopping is getting harder and harder. Didn't get her anything big a couple of Polly things a pad with paints and this, a very cool chalk roller like they use on baseball fields but for kids and a DISCO Ball. It was way cheap but she always talks about how she wants a Disco Ball(LOL) it's a joke in our little family. Daddy gets a go cart when mommy gets a disco ball in her family room. Anyway it will be funny to us! After shopping we drove around looking for a party store since we don't know where anything is by his parents for the most part. Then we went to what used to by Cypress(Dave loved this bar years ago they had great burgers). It's now Landmark Inn they tore out the cool horseshoe shaped bar got rid of all the vintage cool decor replaced it with regular bar furniture and TV's everywhere most of which had the cubs game on them but you could watch the Runaway bride interview while watching the game if yous so chose. They have a great deck outside but it was packed. The menu looked good but we opted for burgers because that was their specialty before. Mine was supposed to be stuffed with portabella and rougafort(sp?). Anyway nothing was the same to say the least and mushrooms and cheese on top of the burger does not qualify as stuffed. Oh well the food wasn't terrible it was just bar food. It just wasn't as awesome as it used to be.

And so back to Grandma's house! We saw Pete and another neighbor I've never met but he thought very highly of himself kept telling my how handsome and young he was for his age???? Weird. Dave and his dad started shooting off bottle rockets in this new pipe thing he fashioned to do two at a time. Emily freaked when she saw fireworks and came running in the house slamming all the door and screaming "DON'T ANYONE PANIC" it was way to funny!!!! She said Don't panic earlier in the day when there was a spider on the chair outside where she was eating her lunch. It was a GIANT spider mommy had to come and get rid of. About a 1/2" to be exact. Her new phrase I guess.

So I worked on a couple more HS contest layouts but it's paint and wait paint and wait. I'm obsessed with paint????? NO idea what I'm doing? Scrapping tonight so we'll see if I actually finish something! Ahh what a challenge that will be.

Off to do some housework! Woo HOO!!!!

Busy Busy

Well yesterday I submitted over 30 items through Scrap Submit maybe now I can forget about it. I have no idea what I sent where I just filed all that info away. I figured if I sent in so much I wouldn't know what to worry about first. LOL Avoidance and denial that's me! I also submitted a DT Application and uploaded a contest item for the HS contest.

So I thought I got a lot done yesterday but not for the Big Party Sat. Dave and I are going out tonight to pick up some presents and the essential decorations. My MIL is going to watch the girls. They are thrilled about going to Grandmas house so that's good. Emily even said it was ok to go to Grandmas instead of the pet store but we can go there tomorrow. LOL only if it rains mommy says! She wants a pet for her Birthday. YIKES I don't want to take care of an animal. Soo not ready for that mentally! Maybe after Abbi is potty trained!

So I was able to load some pics yesterday.... Woo Hoo! I loaded some of my Trendsetters stuff. At least I like the stuff I did even if nothing comes from it. Dave even mentioned he wants a clipboard. Who knew I could have made that for him for fathers day.

So I turned the air back on today even though the plastering is not done. It's still early and it's already 80 in the house last night I was dying until around 1am it was so hot. That and I cooked stuffed peppers for dinner in the oven. Yowza they were good though even if I was the only one to eat them. We ate out on the deck since the kitchen was covered in dust.

So at the end of the day Mel and Hawk came to visit we haven't seen them in a long time Mel was sick for awhile. Now she's off for the summer so we'll do some stuff together. And we're going to do another PF lesson plan for some extra spending money. Maybe two this year. Anyway I finished another HS layout not ingenius but cool none the less. I still have to scan it.

Ok Abbi is trying to put her own swim diaper on I have to go have some fun in the sun!

ENJOY

Ok so th b

Getting Organized

So I'm working my new to do list. Things are getting a little better around here. I don't feel soooo freaked when people have to come over. After I started last week I had Stamp Camp and it was fine. Not absolutely as clean as I would have liked but so much better to get ready for. I was even able to go out Friday morning before camp and do errands pick up a fathers day gift for Dave etc. That's so unusual.

So right now besides my daily to do's I got my room and bathroom all cleaned and organized. I need to do Abbi's Room and the Studio(YIKES!). These are the 2 rooms I put off most. Abbi's is the worst she goes through so many sizes/season in a 6 month period of shoes, clothes and pj's I can't seem to keep up. I perpetually have a giant plastic box in there with clothes to switch out. It's crazy! I wish I knew how to organize it, anyone anyone????? HELP!

So Anyway I was looking over the June Organizing Checklist and I've done quite a few things on it. I've eliminated some of the. Don't have bird feeders and there is only one way to work for me down the stairs, I suppose I could repel from the upstairs window but I'd probably break something! Anyway I'm going to get as much done as I can today and tomorrow. The rest of the week will be for the B-day party Saturday and for my work stuff!

So I finished a project for the Heidi Swapp thing. I have 2 more sketched out. Not sure I'm going to get the RP stuff done. I have a couple of swaps for VC to finish. They are also sketched out so it's not that big a deal.

I'll try again this afternoon to post some pics of my completed stuff this weekend.

Phew!

Wow that was hard. I finished my entry for Trendsetters. You can see some of them here My Gallery. The hardest part for me is always scanning. I can never get my layouts to look like they do in real life. I've been tweeking and playing with that scanner though. They are getting better. It's the part I dislike most. I'm really happy with my projects I submitted I just hope the pics are good enough. Oh that and the 300 word or less essay about why they should pick you? I hate those. I'm not good at tooting my own horn which is what it seems like.

So now tonight I get to work on my Foofala layout and Em's b-day invites. Oh to complete the stuff I have laying around here. So speaking of Foofala I recently found this blog minutia and LOVE IT! I also placed my first order here for some very cool Stamps! Can't wait for them to come. I'll try to post my first creation. Not having a lot of luck getting pics here lately?

For all it's gloominess today it's turning out to be an uplifting day! Weight lifted and all!

Plus TROY is in the house! Brad Pit in all his glory! Can't wait to watch it! Loving my Netflix.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Yikes Gone Too Long

Ok I didn't go anywhere really. I just kept saying I'd blog tomorrow and tomorrow etc. etc.

So many things have happened. So lets just say Summer is in full swing. We have a pool in the backyard I can fit into! And luckily we have had pool weather! The yard work is there always. And everyone is happy and healthy! For the most part.

Ok that being said today I've been working on my schedule for summer. Fitting everything in, in it's neat little spot. I have my weekday calendar pretty much set up. It may need some tweeking as we go. It will be nice to be back on track. As you can see lately that has not even been a thought in the back of my head.

So Dave and I had an awesome Anniversary this year. Made up for last years forgotten one! I got him a cool book of Love quotes with a LOVE bookmark. He got us a limo to take us to dinner and me a dozen roses that were just beautiful. We had the windmill at Port Edward one of our favorite restaruants. We had a great time it was very relaxing. Paula watched the kids so there were no worries there.

I'm working on Sizzix Trendsetters compitition. Almost done with my entries one more I'll finish today then I'll do my write ups. I hope I did well. I do know some of these pieces are some of my best work to date. We'll see. I was going to do the MF DT contest but I think I'm burned out a little and I only have 2 days from now. So I'll start on the RP stuff. I love MF stuff but I'm just not there yet maybe never not sure where my style is going but it's evolving.

Got my first www.trustyredwheelbarrow.com kit. Sor far I've used the American Crafts stuff to finish one layout and one card. I've got a foofala layout in the works on the table but it's taken a back seat to the Sizzix stuff. Tonight maybe after I finish Em's invites.

I also recieved the ver cool Heidi Swapp www.heidiswapp.com contest packages in the mail. Haven't figured out what I'm entering yet but oh so yummy! I think I may do a box and layout. We'll see I have ideas floating around but I can't catch them yet their not solid enough.

Ok off to do my 15 min in the Kitchen then I can do some of my lovely stuff!
