Hope everyone has a great Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW #195 - My Many Workdesks.....

Ooooh I get to play a little again.  I'm excited to visit all work spaces over at Julia's Stampin Ground Blog where she hosts What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday and it's a ton of fun to go and look at everyone's desks and comment and encourage everyone's progress on the their projects.   It's been hard finding time to play but on my way to work today I had a lightbulb moment.  I would share why.  So the first picture is where I work.  It's the back counter of our Local Stamp and Scrapbook Store and as you can see I take my little pink bag(on the stool) with me and then I open the box and everything I'm working on comes out and covers the counter.  I didn't show you the Sales counter but I have stuff over there as well.  I'm there for a few hours then I come home and well I work either at my desk which we've all seen that scary mess before or at my Dining Room table(Below).  Which is where I am today.  Kitting for classes(Fabulous Folds extra kits in the picture).  I have to finish before I have my scrapping group over tonight to play.

Edited to add: the cards for this class can be found here, here and here.  Someone asked so I thought I would add the links back.

Tomorrow my work desk will be the classroom at the store since I'm teaching a Clean & Simple class.  Which the prep for is anything but as you can see.  UGH  I have piles everywhere!  It's crazy!

Anyway stop on over to WOYWW #195 at Julia's blog and check out all the other fun and amazing workdesks.  And thank you so much for stopping by mine!

Instagram This Weekend

I've been playing with Instagram, trying to learn my way around.  I have finally figured out how to share my pictures from there here on my blog using Followgram.  I'm so excited.

Woo Hoo!  See my new stamps and dies from LAWN FAWN.

This week the kids had a short week at school only 3 days.  Abbi got her white belt in recorder in music class and  a Paw for doing a good deed at school.  Emily had career day and learned about Animal Therapy, State Politics from Senator Matt Murphy and Hairdressing.  Dave had a regular week for the most part.  He has been helping me get all the Laundry in order  This weekend we went to a friends for a Birthday dinner and then games and cards.  We had a blast.  Saturday we slept in colored, went to an Estate Sale(we only got a gas can since Dave broke his) then played games and made cookies.  Sunday Em sang the National Anthem with PCC  bright and early at Fremd High School for a Wrestling Meet.  Then I'm off to work and Dave and the girls went to do taxes for the big boys.  Tonight we're just hanging out at home it's been a busy week and weekend.  And Monday starts a full week again for everyone!

Hope everyone else had a great week!

Holiday Fun - Poinsettia Gift Card Holder

It's never too early for a bit of Holiday FUN!  Here is a gift card holder created using my Sizzix Gift Card Folder die and a stash of 3D embellishments.  I love these flowers from I Am Roses.....  I have a box just for Holiday Flowers!  Hopefully this inspires you to get a head start on some Holiday Items...

Today is a day off for me.  So there will be lots of family time.  Abbi and I are planning to Color for awhile she got some new pictures and she wants to color together.  I have new crayons so I'm very excited.  We're all going to bed early tonight since Emily has to be up bright and early to sing the National Anthem at a Wrestling meet at Fremd.  Then we'll probably all come home and go back to bed.  HA  at least until I have to get up and get to work.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Easter Basket - Last For February Fabulous Folds

Last one for the folds over at Craft Fancy.  I fell in love with this little basket as soon as it arrived in the store.  Had to make them for the 3D item for the class.  Adorable.  Everyone left with their filled with Easter Grass and some candy eggs.

Thanks everyone for a FABULOUS class as always!  Next Month we are doing a large 3D project think drawers.

Have a great weekend!

Quick NO Bake Cake

A quick sample using the new die from Memory Box Die Magnificent Cake.  I also used a Lifestyle Craft Embossing folder for the background.  The cake is stunning no matter how you put it together.  I used the cut out pieces to make the flower on the cake.

Flying Home

A quick masculine card using the Magnificent Pine, Puffy Clouds and the Flying Goose to build a die cut scene.  I also used a bit of chalk ink and cardstock.  And I have to give credit to my girlies they help me by doing all of the die cutting.

Here the geese are stopping on their way home after wintering in the South.  We're a stop over for about half of them although the other half will make their homes here.  There is an awful lot of honking on a daily bases as they fly over and the pond over by Ab's grade school is covered with them resting and eating.  Just in the center where the ice is melted all stacked up.

Has anyone noticed I have a problem with Memory Box dies?  Shhhhhhhhh... don't tell anyone!!!  I can't stop collecting them.   I just moved my dies into new storage today, since I couldn't fit the new ones I've purchased in the last week into my old storage.  EEEK   I believe yesterday was the first day I didn't buy a new one while I was at work in quite some time.  But seriously I stared at them and used all of my energy and the tons of customers we had yesterday to keep me from coming home with the Umbrella which I believe I can't live without,  this week.....  It was still hanging on the hook when I left.   See I'm pining over a die and I already have another Umbrella die(banging head on desk).  Oh well I'm back to work today I can pine some more if it's not already gone I'm sure it will be a different one today.  I do have a lot of things to work on so keeping fingers crossed.

Hope everyone is having  a great week.  Thanks for  stopping by.

Lawnscaping Challenge #51 - Together

This weeks inspiration was is:

I had fun using the Love n' Breakfast  set by Lawn Fawn.   I colored the images with Copic.  I cut them out and layered and popped them up with foam tape.   The greeting is a combination of 2 in the set, which I cut apart to use them.  Other items used:  Patterned Paper - BoBunny Double Dots, Washi Tape - Recollections, Jute - Canvas Corp., Spellbinders Labels 2,  Heart Punches and Border Punch - Fiskars, Other  Ink - Chalk and my WRMK Corner Chomper.  Be sure to check out all of the other amazing projects over at the Lawnscaping Blog.

It's Tuesday and getting warmer again.  The kids are sad the snow is melting all their work on forts in the yard has gone in vain with the rain yesterday and the warmer weather.  They may still get another chance so no worries.  Here in Chicago anything is possible.  Off to work in a bit.  Can't wait to see what new has come in.  Hope you all have a great day!  Thank You for stopping by!

Updated to add this entry was given an Honorable Gnome!

A Blog Named Hero Challenge #19 - Paper Piecing

My Entry for Challenge #19 over at A Blog Named Hero, Snip N' Stick, Paper Piecing Technique.

I loved getting time with some of my Hero Arts Stamps.  I'm working on using things I haven't or trying new techniques.

I used the clear Hero Arts set Wish You Were Here and paper by Cosmo Cricket a 6x6 pad Odds & Ends.  I also used my Spellbinders Labels 8 and some Chalk Ink.  I had fun picking out the patterns for my chair and imagining them as fabric!

Hope you like it!  Thanks for taking a look.  Be sure to stop by A Blog Named Hero and check out all of the other amazing work!

More Bees - Playing with the Diffuser

I finally got around to playing with the Tim Holtz Diffusers and the Honeycomb Embossing folder.  I can't believe I was intimidated by them.  So simple and such a cool affect.  I've also used the Memory Box Jolly Bumble Bees and the Honey Bee Skep as well as the greeting from Lawn Fawns Bee Mine stamp set.

We did a little shopping at ABT yesterday and in 3 more days my new dryer arrives this is my Valentine gift WOO HOO.  I can't wait to do laundry!  For real not that I haven't done laundry for the last two months I've just been hanging everything to dry.  Which is very time consuming considering how little space we really have to hang laundry.  So I am a bit behind.  You can see how my Friday will go right.  That's ok I'm looking forward to warm fresh laundry out of the dryer.

Enough about my laundry issues their just boring.  Tonight after Em's Chorus rehersal we are baking Yummies for the Art Clubs Valentine Party and working on Ab's b-day party invites.  That is more exciting!  Can't wait to get crafty with the girlies once they are home from school and activities.  It will be a great kick off to the week.

Happy New Week.  for stopping by!

Fab 5 - Day 5 - Love You More

A really quick card using a Marvy Heart Punch and a stamp by My Favorite Things.   Again using the Doodlebug Papers.  These are Christmas papers but the backs are just red and white perfect for Valentines.

Woo Hoo the weekend is here.  At 8am this morning the kids asked if they could play out in the snow.  Had to get back to the fort building.  I'm teaching Copic Basics today at Craft Fancy.  Most rewarding class ever.  I love how people leave the class amazed at what a few markers can do.  Dinner tonight at our house with friends I'm going to try a new marinade for pork tenderloin.  YUM.

Happy Happy Weekend!  Hope everyone is having fun!  Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Fab 5 - Day 4 Happy Valentines Day

Such a pretty sentiment.  These dies are by Cheery Lynn.  I did use my Memory Box Heart Die for the background and more of the Doodlebug papers.  The dark color isn't black it's Grey like the rest of the cards.  I've added some rhinestones for a little texture.

Happy Friday!  The kids were excited to play in the snow after school.  Abs was a little sad when it was time to go to the Ice Rink for skating but she showed off her bunny hops and lunges to us in class tonight.  Em went to the sledding hill with Anne who had never been sledding, ever.   She loved it.  Then they all three built a fort in the snow after skating.

It was a nice Friday after yesterdays storm...  Hope your all having a great week, thanks so much for stopping by!

XOXO - Fab 5 Valentine Card day 3

Early post today.  This card uses Doodlebug Paper still  like the others.  All the pieces are cut using the Memory Box Dies.  Love the stem and hearts from the tree set but most of all I am in love with the Parker Font.  Super Versatile!  Cute or modern clean lines.  Love it!!!!

So it's rain and then snow for us today.  No fun outside so today we are inside.   I'll putting together the March Class Schedule for all my instructors out there let me know what you want to teach.

Hope everyone is safe and warm inside with all of the storms coming from various directions!  Have a great Thursday.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fab 5 Bee Mine Day 2 Card

A cute quick card made with the new Memory Box Bee Die, some LawnFawn words and an Embossing Folder by Tim Holtz.

As you can see I did not get a picture of my word desk today.  With work and everything else I got a little side tracked.  I did however make 12 little take out boxes so far for next weeks swap!  I will share a picture of those soon.  They are so tiny I love them.  I even found candy to put in them  WOOT!

Ok have a great rest of your Wednesday.  I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Day 1 FAB 5 - I love You - A CAS card for Valentines Day

Here's a Clean and Simple card for Valentines Day.  The dark color is not actually black although it came out that way, it's dark grey.  Used some of the Doodlebug Papers to cut out all the red bits.  The Dies are Memory Box  Typewriter Font and the punches are Marvy.

Today I taught Baby Bug Punch Art in the morning and evening.  It snowed off and on but only while I was driving back and forth and delivering children about or so it seemed.   I really really really want to get back to WOYWW tomorrow so I'm going to head upstairs to clean off my desk and see if I can find the bottom.  LOL gotta clean before Wednesday so I can take a picture of an actual project.  It's like cleaning your house before the cleaning service comes.  However this time it makes sense in my head my desk has become a dumping ground for things to be put away as of late.  I should just put them away and be done.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it have a great evening.
