Inspired by the Rainbow........

It's that time of year when there are tons of Birthday's with our Friends and Family.  I've been working on a few Birthday cards as you will see in the next week or so.  Here is one inspired by the Rainbow and the Lawnscaping Challenge #110.  I'm happy with the way it turned out with the Copic coloring and the cake plate, words and valve thingy are shiny from using Glaze pen on them.

Hope you like it and are having an Awesome weekend.  Summer has finally arrived and we are enjoying it as long as the rain holds off!

Shimmery Corby Ornament - Die Cut Discovery Today

Good Afternoon!  Christmas In July is in full swing at the store I teach at CraftFancy and I have a new post  on the Memory Box Blog.  So we are all very inspired by the fun stuff Memory Box and Poppy have come up with.  Everyone is humming Christmas Carols and plotting their holiday projects!   It always makes for a fun little break in the Summer festivities.

Here is a Christmas card I created using the Corby Ornament 99264 which is colored and shimmered with Distress Ink and Perfect Pearls.  This is layered over a shiny red Drop Ornament Layers 99225 on top I added a cap from the Ornament Caps and Hooks 99213.  The Merry Christmas is from 2 Open Studio sets Make Merry 30062  and We Wish You 30064 cut from green then shimmered with Wink of Stella clear.  All of the Patterned Paper are Memory Box Signature Patterns.  Also the bow is a twine with a bit of gold in it!  Gotta love that!
I hope you like it!  I'm excited about this one!  I love things that sparkle and shimmer especially for the Holidays.

OK I'm done now back to our regularly scheduled Summer Festivities.....At least for now!  Thank you for stopping by have a Wonderful Day!

Hope your having a great day.

Memory Box Blog Blitz - Ornament Shaker

Good Morning,  It's that most exciting week.  BLOG BLITZ WEEK.  All of the projects have been Amazing so far I am so inspired aren't you?

I have so been loving the Drop Ornament Layers 99225 since they arrived, so many ideas so little time and all.  Today I've created a shaker box ornament with them.  Using only silver mirror card.  Which is a bit touchy to photograph I hope I did it well enough you can make out all of the details.
To embellish the ornament I have used the delicate Wintery Snowflake Bundle 99259 from a green mat metallic paper.  There are some of the snowflakes from this beautiful die inside the shaker box along with some sequins and star sequins.
To top it all off I've added a bow from Truly Gifted Open Studio 30039.  It all really stands out on Memory Box Signature Patterns paper.   Hope you like it!

Scrappy Saturday July 11th

This weeks layouts.... I was very productive.  The more I scrapbook the more I want to scrapbook.  It's been fun.  I mostly started just using the Studio Calico kits still.  Later though I broke into my stash and started really playing around.  I vaguely remember this kind of scrapping just for fun!

Daddies Girls
All Studio Calico Kit except the word daddies got new AC Thickers from work.  This one was hard to photograph with all of the white.  I love the Papa/Daddy Paper though from one of the kits.  I've used it twice now getting a lot out of one sheet.

Darling Baby
Another all Studio Calico except again the same AC Thickers and the gold striped paper that is from a new MME 6x6 pad.  And lets not forget some super old sequins from Doodlebug back in the day.
Heads Up Abbi
Now I've deviated from kits to my stash.  I grabbed what I thought was my blue patterned paper box and found out later it was green.  I picked the bluest I had an old MME paper set.  Love it.  Alphas are new AC Thickers and some Simple Stories the butterflies are colored with distress from my stash of veneers.
OK really going nuts created my own paper with the new Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and Salty Ocean Distress Ink.  The paper is Twig from Little Yellow Bicycle.  Alpha old AC Thickers and the blue dots are I-Rock(yes I broke out a tool).  Can you believe I could even find a tool?  I'm not sure I can.
Don't You Just Love That Face
OMG I LOVE these pictures.  Ok so this is a mixture of new and old.  Sandylion dot I think from an old Mouse line, the blue stripe is a KI Elsie fabric, Pink Paislee blue hearts.  The red hearts are Pebbles, the doilee is Doodlebug the polka dot sticker I have no idea but it wasn't a sticker anymore.  The milk cap is Jeni Bowlin.  White Punched heart Marvy.  Stickers large font old AC Thickers small I have no idea it was just a few letters left.
We Love Headgear
And lastly for this week we have the monsters being goofy.  Paper Sassafras Lass.  Some old 7 Gypsies stickers.  Old alphas from both AC Thickers and My Little Shoebox.  Lastly Glitter Domes from my stash these were my obsession when I shopped at Archivers years ago bought them everytime I went.

Thanks for stopping by Enjoy the new Old(picture) Layouts.

Sweet Summer Mini Album and Beach Tote

Here is my Sweet Summer Mini Album and tote!  I love love how it turned out using all Doodlebug Papers from the Sunkissed line and a few extra pieces.    The Album fits perfectly into the tote bag with a little extra room to expand with pictures, more pages and ephemera.

Memory Box has once again outdone themselves with these inspiring new designs.  Be sure to check out the entire CATALOG and let your imagination run wild!

So I've used a few of the new dies for today.    This first card starts with the Stitched Happy Holiday Square Frame 99265 cut from matte silver paper, the ornament is the Drop Ornament Layers 99225 cut from silver mirror card and covered with iridescent sequins.  I've also used the new Ornament Caps and Hooks 99213 at the top of the ornament to hang it from the letter y.
The entire affect is a shining ornament.  All of the patterned papers are Memory Box.
For this second card I used Drop Ornament Layers 99225 again only a larger size along with the Sketch Shining Star 99177 which is embedded into the ornament.  The Happy Holidays come from the Stitched Happy Holiday Square Frame 99265 again and the white square frame is from a previous release die Shaker Square Frames 30030 lastly the bow is from Truly Gifted 30039.

Scrappy Saturday - July 4th

All I have wanted to do lately is Scrapbook.  Seems odd since I work with paper every single day that I would literally crave more paper crafts and a specific kind.  I started by creating some mini album classes, those are a ton of fun but once it's done it's done.  I've been dabbling with Stash Scrapping Kit groups those are fun but I get a little nuts pulling to much product from my stash(I do not have a collecting problem... I swear).   I joined the Studio Calico Kit club and travel to crops with just that.   I've started to gain a little more momentum each time I sit down to scrap.

So here on Saturday's I will share with you what I have done lately.

To Start 2 older layouts from the earlier Crop in June.

Daddy's Girls
This is from a stash scrapping moment.  As is probably evident by the old product.  7Gypsies paper and stickers, a little MME and Jenni Bowlin from my scraps.  The big heart from Bazzill and older Alpha stickers.
Pumpkin On Fire
This one was fun the stars were left over from another project,  the orange stick came in a very old kit club.  Bo Bunny chevron paper.  The scallops are Bazzill Borders.  The rub ons and label?????  Not sure of the alpha either.  OMG I almost forgot the old Chatterbox polka dot paper!  Loved Chatterbox I have all of their papers well unless I've used them.

Now onto layouts completed at the Crop this past Sunday this was the day I really felt the need to scrapbook grow.
Abbigayle @Gobberts
This is all from the Studio Calico Kits except the sequins.  I had fun just using the kits and making it work.
Untitled - Leepers Fork Pumpkin Patch
I didn't do a title on this one not sure why but it was more about having fun together than the pumpkin patch at Leepers Fork.   Again all products from the Studio Calico Kits except the sequins.

Part of this new found motivation had really been my family.  In the last few months I have taken layouts out of the rubber maid containers they had been in for years and put them into albums.  I so far have 7 new 12x12 albums full.  I need a couple more but I'm buying a couple each month.  Anyway the girls and even family and friends that visit see these lined up and can't resist to look that them.  They are having such a great time with them it makes me want to do more.  Somewhere along the way I forgot why I scrap and they have reminded me with the Joy I see it brings them.   Not to mention I love playing with paper and especially looking back at all of the memories we've created together.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Little Pink Houses

Good Morning,  how is everyone enjoying their summer?  We have had a slow start weather wise but  my kids are determined everyday to wear summer clothes even though it is only 69 degrees outside.   We are still having fun and doing most of our regular summer activities.

Today I'm over on the Memory Box Blog with a fun summer card using the Circle Forest Scene 30043 using pink for the little houses.  The sky in the background is just inked with torn paper and ink then the clouds.  To add the greeting I used  some of the Open Studio stamps Smile CL5152 and Hello CL5150.  I love how all of these Open Studio stamp sets work together to build phrases.   Tip:  To get solid ink coverage on your clear mount stamps rub them with a white eraser before using them.  You can see I should have been a bit more patient and rubbed just a little more on the N and the J in enjoy.
Hope your having a great day and getting ready for a Wonderful Safe Holiday weekend!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  Be sure to check out the new July Memory Box Challenge Here.
