Dream Clouds - New Memory Box Die

DreamcloudGood Morning I'm over at the Memory Box Blog today.  Today I have a card for you using the new Dream Cloud - 98872 die cut.   I first cut out one of the clouds with plain white paper and then colored another piece of paper with copic markers and cut the cloud again to get the colored word "dream" which was then glued into the opening in the white cloud.   I've also created a background using the Cloud Cover - 88558 stencil with white embossing paste and Butterfly Delights - 98130 which were colored with copic markers as well.

Go to the Memory Box Blog and post to win this Die.

Have a Wonderful Day!

Washi Away - March Bombshell Stamps Blog Hop

It's time for the March Bombshell Stamps Humpday Blog Hop!  This months challenge was to use Washi tape.  So I used a lot of Washi tape. I love any opportunity to break out the tape and play with it.  The cloud background, grass and bathing suit on my favorite stamp Bombshell Angel are all made of Washi Tape.   I did color the Angel with Copics and matched the flower in her hair to her bathing suit.

Be sure to check out all of the amazing creations below on the Blog Hop!

This card started in Illinois and then traveled to Tennessee where it was completed with my limited craft kit I brought along for spring break.  I thought of a million things I could add to it but alas they were at home.  Spring break has been fun so far until Tuesday when we woke up to snow and had near white out conditions while out to lunch.  We apologized to everyone for bringing the snow with us and our little dog was not at all amused to find her warm playground here invaded with the white stuff she so detests.  Hopefully today will be warmer!

Have a wonderful day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Good Morning All I'm over at the Memory Box Blog today!  Is everyone as excited for the new release as we all are?  I was thrilled to get the opportunity to play with the new stencils as well as the new dies.  Today I am using the Texture Mini Dots Stencil - 88533 for the background with Wendy Vecchi Gold Embossing Paste on black and white.  So cool and so fun.  For the focal image I used the Joyful Bouquet - 98856 cut out of both black and white.  I then alternated black and white for each card and added some Gold Mirror Card and Gold Cord to help complete the card.

Hope everyone is loving all of the samples everyone is sharing here on the blog.  Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Tidings

Birthdaytidings
I'm over on the Memory Box Blog today.  The Happy Birthday Tidings (98845)  is cut out of white paper and then colored with Distress Markers.   For the background I used the Texture Diamond Stencil (88522) and some white embossing paste I colored with Spun Sugar Distress reinker and added a bunch of Distress Rock Candy Glitter to the paste before swiping it over the stencil.  It dried sparkley I love it.  For a finishing touch I added some pearls to the flowers and Stickles to the bird as well as some seam binding for a bow.

Today Abbi is spending the day with me for her Birthday.  This is very soft and sweet just like her.  Hope it inspires you to make something soft and springy for your next Birthday card.  Have a great day!

Your In Luck- Using the March Bombshell Sketch

It's time for the Bombshell sketch challenge over on the Bombshell BlogKathi designed this fun Challenge.  I had a great time using the Holiday Accessories Bombshell Stamp Set.   I also uncovered my set of Yasutomo water colors.  The shimmery ones.  I was searching for something else entirely, that's how it goes though.  Once the background and lucky horseshoe was dry I added some rhinestones and Wink Of Stella.  It's all very shimmery which I have a terrible time capturing in a photo but I insist on doing shimmery pieces.  Hmmmmm

Thanks so much for stopping by have a wonderful day!

Inktense Coloring with Bombshell Stamps

Good Morning, I'm over at the Bombshell Blog today.  I've been playing more with the Inktense Pencils and I love the affect they give to your coloring.  It's like painting with pencils.   For this project I started with the Speed Shop Stamp Set and my blue and purple pencils along with a few greys as well as a few accent colors.  I stamped the car with Archival ink to begin.
First I layed down a layer of light colors these will become the high lights.  Here we are using blues for the car exterior and red for the interior.  The chrome and frame areas are grey.
Next we add darker shadows.  Be gentle with this the color will spread.  And once it's dry we can always add more the color is permanent though after we add water so it cannot be taken away.
Now with the water brush blend out from the dark to light again be careful not to add too much water so it doesn't bleed.
With the purple and lavenders begin building a background.  I used dark greys for under the car.
this is after a couple of layers of color and blending with the water brush to build up the deep purple.
With a white pen and a Wink of Stella pen add some sparkles to the chrome areas and the skull emblem as well as a few stars in the background.
I love how it turned out though the sparkle from the Wink of Stella is hard to see in the photograph.  It's Awesome in person though and not to glittery for a masculine card.
I hope you get a chance to play with the Inktense Pencils they are so much different then the other mediums I've used and a joy to work with.  Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Spring Blooms with Memory Box

Mbspringsings
Good Morning Marnie today sharing a project over on the Memory Box Blog  with the Aubrey Bloom Set 98830 along with on of my favorites Butterfly Delights.  I love how the Aubrey Bloom Set cuts the layering pieces for you as your working with it, it even scores them so you can really have to build a beautiful bloom.  I chalked them before folding them and adding only a line of glue to the fold line so they would stand up.   The butterflies are only glued dow on one wing so they also stand up adding more texture to the card.   I've added another favorite the greeting Spring Sings B1337.

This morning we watched a Hot Air Balloon fly over hopefully that is a sign that we are done with the sub zero temps and the snow will have a chance to melt!  At least it's sunny and it didn't snow today!  It's the little things.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look!  Have a great day.

Lotus Garden - Muse Monday

Today I have a project on the Bombshell Blog for Muse Monday.  The stamp set this month is Lotus Garden.  I love the Koi in this set they are so much fun to use.  I've been working with Alcohol inks lately and I love the affect of water with just some blues and lavenders and just a smidgen of pearl.  I heat embossed the fish in silver on top of the background.  The greeting is an embossing folder.  I covered some cardstock with my silver tape and embossed it so fun.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Hope you have a great day.
