Scrappy Saturday - Light Effect

Yay it's the weekend.  Created this layout using a base page from my stash I made with my scraps awhile back.   I found some older letter stickers that can be colored and inked them to match the papers.  The little letters are My Little Scrapbook(I don't think they are around anymore).

The pictures are from when Abbi changed her room up and added LED lights all around.  They change colors, she loves them.   We tried our best to photograph some of the different colors.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day.

Scrappy Saturday - Winter Dance Showcase

My girlies all ready to for their Holiday Dance Showcase.  Cut all those little presents and snow globes out of some pattern paper and piled them up on either side of the photos then added the candy stripe Thickers and a label with some embellies and washi tape.  Really the faces are the cutest.  The pictures are from their Snapchat stories.

Thanks for taking a look.

Sketch Challenge - Vienna

So it's the begining of the month and there is a new challenge up at the Schnockered Scrappers Challenge blog.   For this one I created a sketch.   Be sure to check it out.

The layout I  created if of Vienna.  The paper and some of the embellishments are Simple Stories Cozy Days from a Scraproom kit last fall.   I punched a bunch of flowers out of cardstock in matching colors added stickles to the centers and die cut the title with Memory Box dies.

That sweet face.  Vienna is my puppy she may be over 12 years old but she'll always be my puppy.

Virtual Crop Weekend - The Scraperbowl - Sunday Pages

Today I didn't get as much done as yesterday but still better than nothing.   The first layout is of Emily at the Strawberry patch when she was little I think she ate more than she picked of course.  I created the title with the Silhouette and some red paper with black dots and strawberry seeds.  The strawberry paper is Imaginiece it's an older line.  I did find a wood veneer strawberry which was really exciting.

For the this layout I used American Crafts papers and some various dies to create this layout.  The bunnies and carrots are Spellbinders, the swing is memory box, the suns are IO and the title is Scrapbook.com.  The pictures are of the kids and their cousin playing in the back yard on one of  the first nice days we had.

So that's 7 layouts complete this weekend.  Not too bad usually one of Victoria Marie's crops offer you challenges for up to 9 or 10 layouts/projects.  Sometimes I get them all done sometimes I get a few done it just depends on what else is  going on, on a daily basis.  The only bad part of cropping at home is that I still have to cook and take care of other things while I'm cropping.  But it's still so productive.  At a crop I would be talking and shopping and getting about the same amount of pages complete so I'm happy.

Hope you had a great weekend.  I can't wait for the next crop weekend.

Scrappy Saturday - The Scraperbowl - Virtual Crop 4 layouts Complete

Day 2 is here of the Scraperbowl over at Victoria Marie.  We've been enjoying online zoom chats while working and a great list of challenges.  Today I was able to finish 4 layouts.  The first one Precious Girl is Abbi all dressed in her fancy Holiday dress and posing on her new bunk beds.  She loves them.  I used  Simple Stories North Pole from my Scraproom Kit, Memory Box dies(alpha, poinsettia and holly), Scrapbook.com stamps, and Thickers.  There is also some gold dots and gold glitter paper to mat the photo.

This layout is of my Dad in high school.  The devil and winged shoes I created and cut with my silhouette as well as the title.  The black and white papers came out of my scraps.  Then I just added a black and red photo mat.

Teddy was Emily's boyfriend at the times new puppy,  he came to visit us a couple of time and was just the sweetest.  Not sure Vienna and Gracie agreed.  I used a base page I created last year with K&co paper ten added Thickers and felt flowers from my stash.  Super quick page.
Lastly is the Halloween Mermaid page.  The picture is from a Halloween party my brother had and it's hard to see but I used all kinds of Halloween punches on the background.  I punched them in black and created a layered background paper with them.  The black and white paper came out of my scrap bin.  I also added Thickers.

YAY 4 more layouts created!  Getting closer to my goal of 25 projects I'm a little behind but catching up.  Thank you for taking a look.

Scrappy Weekend Recap 3 Layouts

Catching up on some kits I made for Fall crops.  I always kit more than I need so I have a bunch of fall themed layouts to catch up on.   Which you'll see here in this recap.   I did put together this quick layout from  a pumpkin patch visit down in Leipers Fork while we were down in TN a few years ago.  Most of the pictures are of my Mom, isn't she cute!   I'm sure that last photo was her saying why are you still taking pictures.

This layout used a turkey I colored with my markers.  Bob and I look very excited while Emily works on her Thanksgiving Day craft project.  It's funny to go back and see old photos.  I remember that furniture and kids stuff in the background.

Last one for this weekend.  Here I used a base page I created awhile ago.  The paper is K&co from a pad I think.  The kids were enjoying lunch I made them some turkey dogs and they thought it was amazing they could eat them off of sticks.

I'm hoping  I can pick up the pace for 2021 to get going on my yearly goal.  Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a Wonderful Day.

Stamping on a Layout Challenge - Schnockered Scrappers Challenge

So this challenge is over on the Schnockered Scrappers Challenge Blog.

For this layout I used some new(to me) Scrapbook.com stamps and my 12 x 12 Misty to stamp the Dec and the 25 circles at the top.  The pattern paper and embellishments at the bottom are from my Scraproom kit from December, the Simple Stories North Pole set.  I also stamped some of the words, Visit, Memories and documented, from another stamp set from Scrapbook.com.

The picture is my Grandma Vera and I during the holidays.  Gotta love the big hair in the 80's and can I say I do not remember that sweater at all.

So back to the Challenge Blog.  My intention was to create a drink for each month but much like in real life I cannot remember to drink or create drinks.  Maybe as we move along in the year?  It's that or change the name of the blog.   The idea is cooking in my brain.  We will see.

Thank you for coming by and taking a look at my layout!  Have a wonderful day.

Birthday Girl - Scrappy Saturday

YAY the first layout of the year.  This is from an older kit that was put together.  I get why I put of working on this one. During this birthday party I seemed to have a problem taking pictures I was so busy making rainbow cake, fruit salad, jello and  cupcakes with rainbow picks I remember being exhausted.  The pictures visible were the best pictures.  Behind the photo on the top left and middle left with the heart I created pockets with all of the really bad dark and blurry photos that still told the story of Abbi's birthday.  Each photo has a tab to make it easier to pull out and look at.  I may go back and title each photo with little stamps.  That would be cute.  Now that I've posted this I need to go back and change it a bit.

Okay so one layout but a double page not to bad for the beginning of January even if it is the second weekend.  Hopefully I will get some more motivation.

Thank you for stopping by have a Great Day.

Sunday Self-Care - Scrappy Saturday

OH Gracie!  You are so cute you don't need the face mask.  She is the most relaxed dog ever maybe it's all the Self Care?  Anyhoo This layout was done using a kit from the Scrap Room Flavors of the Month April Kit mostly Fancy Pants a Cherry On Top line.  I had fun doing this one mostly because the pictures crack me up.

Thanks for coming by to take a look.

Scrappy Sunday - Victoria Marie Online Crop It's Fall Y'all - Sunday Challenge 3 & 4

I'm back these are the last 2 layouts out of 9 which is pretty darn good for a weekend for me to complete.  The layout above was Bobbin For Stash we had to use older products and other items put forth in the challenge.  This one turned out sweet.   Older products aren't really a challenge for me since I mostly have and use older products.  But  that's okay I used another scrap paper kit for this one some Die cuts and an American Crafts Thicker title.  The picture is oh so sweet of Abbi and Brie both so timid but adorable.
This challenge was to shape it up I chose this shape as I had these Spellbinder dies in my stash.   I used yet another scrap paper kit with a lot of October Afternoon as well as one piece to layer the layout onto.  These photos are of Gracie doing her thing being WEIRD she always is...  The title was cut with the Silhouette.

That's it I had a great time and felt like I got a ton done at the Victoria Marie Virtual Crop. It was very organized and it was really chill.  Which I always think fosters creativity.  I had a great time and I'm looking forward to the October Virtual Crop.

Hope all is well with everyone.  Thank you so much for stopping by again.

Scrappy Saturday - Victoria Marie Crop - Challenge 3 & 4

These challenges are from the Victoria Marie It's Fall Y'all Virtual Crop we had a great time doing them and I have more layouts to photograph and post.

This challenge was to do a Fall Bucket List.  I'm literal what can I say.  I had a good time creating this though.  I created the bucket and leaves with the Silhouette.  Now we just need to check back often and do all of these things.
This challenge was to scrap something challenging or difficult I guess.   I've never scrapped my Dad before.  He passed away right before my 21st Birthday it was sudden and very hard for everyone.  I have a bunch of photos of him so I think I may do more at least one about his love for Fishing.  Anyhoo these were all scraps of paper I had in my scrap bin which matched the fall leaves in this picture so well.

Thanks for taking a look have a Great Day.

Sweet Sumertime - Scrappy Saturday

Adorable girl chilling at her favorite ice cream shop eating her favorite food. I took the picture off of her Snapchat which is why the word Chill is cut off.

I had to use Doodlebug for this one!  The title is Queen & Co. letters and the buttons are from my stash.

Hope everyone has a Safe and Happy 4th of July!  Thank you for taking a look.

Vienna Love - Scrappy Saturday

This is "my dog" which is how everyone refers to her.  She is the sweetest girl and this is her favorite spot in the mornings when the sun hits the house right here.  She is a sunbather for sure.

This layout is from an older layour kit I put together.  I love to have a bunch of these on hand I grab a handful and work on them when I have time.  The paper is from Studio Calico and the vellum leaves are Basic Grey most everything else is from my color boxes or my old Studio Calico stash.

Have we all slowed down as restrictions start to ease up and we can start going places again?  Hope everyone is well!  Hugs

The Great Stash Bash 2020

I'm loving making my own kits from my stash.  Today I'm sharing my kit for The Great Stash Bash 2020.    This one specifies the amount of supplies in a kit and you choose the items with their recommendation and a supply focus item.  Which is great if you want to wind down on some things.

Here is my kit Above are the papers 7 Older, 3 Newer and a Few scraps.  Below are my embellishments Old at the bottom and newer Top Right as well as the washi tape I intend to use the bottom washi is glitter.

Here is the recommendation list.

Preschool Graduation - Scrap Our Stash Challenge

Finished another layout challenge over at Scrap Our Stash challenge blog.  Luckily the papers in my Counterfeit Kit Challenge Kit for March included colors in the March What's My Challenge YAY!  Using up my older supplies is fun.  Here I used papers from Pebbles - Garden  Party, Making Memories - Flower Patch, and some from and unknown K&Co paper pad(sorry torn out a long time ago).    The numbers are die cut with an older Memory Box number set.  And that sad little graduation cap on the birdy is hand cut and pieced together.  The bow is from a Martha Stewart punch from scrap paper.  After I put it a together I doodled the edges and corners.

So besides the color combo we needed to add a stash items that starts with each letter of our first name.  Mind are below:
M - Metal (metal key ideology?)
A - Alphabet (rub ons American Crafts)
R - Ribbon
N - Numbers(die cut out of gingham vellum)
I - Ink (chalk inked all edges)
E - Enamel Dots

March What's My Challenge
I had a great time playing along with this challenge and pulling from my older stash to create this.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look I hope everyone is having an Awesome Sunday.  We are having dinner with my parents tonight via ZOOM so that is what we are looking forward to today.

New Smart Phone - Use it Up

Found this picture of the girlies with their very first Smart Phone.  As you can see it was just a glimpse of what was to come.  I love how they squeezed into the chair together to play with their phones.

The papers and some of the embellishments  I used for this layout are older Simple Stories.  The Sisters matchbook is so old I can't remember I do know I got it at Archivers.  I've always wanted to do a diagonal cut on my layout so this was fun.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look. I hope everyone is well and staying safe.

Crop Partner - Scrappy Saturday

Another layout today using older items from my stash.   I continue on my journey to Use It Up and create some pages for my scrapbooks.

This one is of Dianne my partner in crop or crop partner.  We have done the Scrapbook Expo crop a few times and always have had fun.  Not sure how productive we are as you can see we're just taking pictures and thinking about food.  But it's fun none the less.

This layout uses a lot of Basic Grey including some very old rub ons.  I have found very few of my rub ons from BG still work but I got a few on here.  The paper is from a 6x6 paper pad by Basic Grey.  The pink letters are Simple Stories and the white rub ons for Partner are from Heidi Swap.  There are Studio Calico veneer and puffy stickers, Basic Grey banner embellishments and a Doodlebug doily.  Some things I don't know they are just from my bits box.

So far the scrapbooking is keeping my mind occupied and I feel like I'm getting things done.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Hope your day is Wonderful!  Stay Safe.

Play Ball Scrap Our Stash Challenge

I know this is not a great picture but I'm so rarely in photos and I cherish this one with Abbigayle.   This was my companies Summer work outing to Picnic and see the Chicago Dogs play(THEY WON!).  The kids really didn't want to go but I made them and we all ended up having a great time together.  Abbi and I made funny face pictures and the lighting is terrible because of the lights on the baseball field.

The layout itself uses a "new" paper pack I added to my stash from Tuesday Morning from Echo Park - Good Day Sunshine.  The baseballs I made with a circle punch and a red pen.  From my stash I used Heidi Swap rub ons, glitter dots from Archivers(blast from the past), the puffy arrow is Basic Grey(another blast from the past) and a wood veneer @ from my veneer box and some older MME Christmas washi tape. OOOH and my journaling block is a stamp from KI Memories.  I just found it recently in my stash. That is probably the oldest thing on my layout.  It's fun to use things that are older, some of them are even coming back around in style!

The sketch comes from the Scrap Our Stash challenge blog March 2020 Sketch Challenge.

I had a great time working on this and remembering our evening as a family.  This is the reason I scrapbook to keep the memories alive.  Happy and not so happy that turns in to happy as the case may be.

Hope your keeping busy in this crazy time and  staying safe with your family.  Thank you for stopping by to take a look.

Paper Pads - USE IT UP

USE IT UP
So I recently decided to use up some of my paper pads I have had sitting around for so many years.  There are many ways out there to use them up or clean them out.  I decided to focus on just using the papers to make basic pages that are ready to go.  I keep these in an album and when I sit down to scrap I pull out my pictures and my album and try to match them to the papers.  It's a great way to get to the fun bits of memory keeping without the fussing with paper and arrangement.  The embellishing is my favorite part anyway, lately at least.  My interest shifts based on product and inspiration out in internetland.  Right now I'm in USE IT UP mode so I can justify getting some new products as they come out.  I need to scrap a lot in the next couple of weeks...

This is all that I had left when I completed this project
I even used a portion of the cover on the bottom left page in the picture below.
Here are 2 double page layouts from this set.
These layouts have gone into my quick layout/kit binder, where I have scraps and other kits ready to go along with some completed base pages.  I hope this inspires you to tear down a pad and make up some base pages for future use.  Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look.  Hope you're having a great weekend!

Cake - Scrappy Saturday

OOOH This cake looks so yummy.  It is the cake we got for Abbi's 8th grade graduation.  The pictures were just too pretty not to scrap.  The cake was just so so and Abbi really wanted real strawberries in the cake but it was pretty and we had fun picking it out.

The paper is older Studio Calico from a kit and embellishments from my stash along with vellum pieces from Basic Grey.  I added some triangles and doodled them I love how that turned out.  Pretty quick to do.  Happy to work thru some older layout kits I set up.
