I'm ALLLL ALONE!

I'm in the house all alone. It's weird. I mean I have been over the summer for an hour here or there while the kids were at friends, but I was trying to get everything done in that hour I didn't even notice. It's just strange! Today I have a ton of errands after my hair appt.(which I could make at a real salon on a weekday very exciting). I've just never been alone for this length of time in the last 9 years. It's sooooooo quiet!

So they got off to school great well except for the rain. No cool outdoor first day of school photos, bummer. Emily was a trooper offering to help get her sister to her locker and show her what to do. She's really good at being the mom when I'm not around. Abbi seemed a little nervous but a little excited. My future son-in-law is in her class though so that's exciting they were separated last year. I was helping his mom with the Spirit Wear Table yesterday and when he and his mom went to meet the teacher he yelled back to Abbi "I Love You Abbi". It was the cutest thing ever. I laughed, I'm bad, I couldn't help it. She finally covered my mouth up and told me to STOP IT!!!! Emily's teacher seems amazing I met with her after all of the chaos and it seems like the 4th grade team is really excited about this year. Abbi's teacher, I didn't really get a chance to talk to it was crazy in the 1st/2nd grade rooms due to the change but I'm sure we will get to know her. And I might add it took me awhile to figure out where she was in the classroom. She's very tiny and when surrounded by parents you can't see her! I have heard wonderful things about both teachers so I'm looking forward to a great year this year for both girls! So this was the little start of school giftie I made for the teachers. They are filled with Kisses because I'm sure after this week they will all need some chocolate to get by! I found the pattern and instructions for this over at Splitcoast Stampers. The stamp is A Muse and The paper is BoBunny(doubledots) and Stampin Up. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day. I'm off to get my hair cut!

Ahhhh Summer is Ending

It's that time school is about to begin. We've been working on getting the girls in their own rooms, cleaning carpets, installing fans and new blinds etc. They are excited to have just their own room to take care of plus they can have their friends over and separate if need be. I've been cleaning and purging to get ready for fall. In between all of the other stuff. We actually had our first PTA meeting last night it's hard to believe next week they are in school. They've both gotten notes from their new teachers and are very excited!

So this card was one of the Camp cards for July there is absolutely no stamping just cardstock and ribbon. I love this new die the shape is very cool. And if I so choose I can cut out one of those circles and do an Inland Steel card it is/was after all their emblem it was on all my dads clothes and other stuff he brought home from work when I was a kid! BLAH BLAH BLAH totally sidetracked. Ok so the paper and ribbon is one of the new IN COLORS for the year Bermuda Bay I love the color!

Ok everyone have a great day! Gotta go finish mopping floors!

BOO!! Halloween BLOG HOP HOP HOP!

It's an ODDBIRDPLANET Blog Hop today! To get you all psyched up about doing Halloween projects! I'm so in love with Kelly's Graveyard, I think it would make an adorable background for an invitation if you were doing a party maybe stamped behind the details in gray subtle but adorable. I also used a monkey from the Monkey Business kit which as luck would have it is on sale right now! WOO HOO! I love him popping out to scare you! And I really love how we can pose their arms and feet the way we want! The word is simple but it's exactly what that little Monkey would say to scare you! BOO!

Delightful Divas!

Today I am lucky. Well yesterday I was lucky but I didn't know it until today! So I guess it's today.................The thoughts in my head are never organized! Anyway I was lucky enough to have my Hawaiian Tags featured on the Delightful Divas Blog! How cool and such an honor! Robin and Penny are so sweet and I just want to thank them again! Thank You Thank You.

What else. Well I went in to work yesterday and saw all the new AC stuff that was fun!

The kids are enjoying summer still but now they are chomping at the bit to get back to school they mention it everyday only 2 1/2 more weeks only 2 more weeks etc. etc. They are just waiting patiently(NOT) for their letters to find out who their teachers are. It's become a race to get the mail everyday! I think the mailman things their stalking him! They stand and the driveway and watch him put the mail in the box. Then lunge as he drives away! EEEK Oh well soon enough. I'll be back tomorrow with some cards we made in Camp!

Do You Craft Socially?

So this weekend is the Chicago Craft Social. I found out about this from Simone at work. She is doing a Make and Take there of these beautiful roses you won't believe your eyes they are so BEAUTIFUL! Anyway I'm working on getting a group together to go that evening as I don't want to go by myself(I know I know SUCK IT UP!) I'm a big baby! My second Friday night out in a row I won't know what to do with myself! HA

New Layout Up

Actually did a layout for my shop. I've never done layouts without pictures before unless it was in a class. So this was a totally new experience.
Getting started on fall stuff now. I can't believe it especially since summer finally arrived this week here! It's been in the 90's and oh so humid for the first time all summer!
We had a great little vacation I have tons of photos so those will be interspersed with projects I've been completing for various things!
Hope you had a great weekend!
