Scrappy Saturday - Hygge

I was in an online crop recently and the challenge was to make a layout without photos.  Here is one about my Hygge loves.

I had fun stamping the ++++ and adding all the little icons from an embellishment pack from a Scraproom kit.  So happy how it turned out.

Hope you all are having an amazing day!

Scrappy Saturday - Winter Dance Showcase

My girlies all ready to for their Holiday Dance Showcase.  Cut all those little presents and snow globes out of some pattern paper and piled them up on either side of the photos then added the candy stripe Thickers and a label with some embellies and washi tape.  Really the faces are the cutest.  The pictures are from their Snapchat stories.

Thanks for taking a look.

Happy Birthday Babbi - Scrappy Saturday

Created this layout for a sketch challenge.  The original had a cut out of circles with paper behind.  I went the opposite and cut out circles, inked them and put them on top of the cardstock background.  I also created a shaker with a starburst circle die and some patterned paper with a sticker.  On the original there was a pocket card where my shaker is.  The title on the picture was actually part of the photo one of my DD's friends shared on social media of them together to wish her a Happy Birthday.   I thought it was so cute I printed it out to use for this layout.

Virtual Crop - Mixed Media Madness - Friday/Saturday/Sunday Recap 6 Layouts

Once again doing the Victoria Maria virtual crop Mixed Media Madness.  I love these even though this the weekend it was held this month there were other things going on and I had to leave the house a couple of times for events.  This of course made it so I got less completed during the crop but 6 layouts is still not to shabby.

My first layout above is of my Grandmother, my Mom, Aunt and Uncle.  I love this photo and the mixed media on this one is Distress Oxide Ink with a lace stencil to create the floral background.  The paper and die cuts are Pretty Little Studios Miss Sadie Rose from my March Scraproom kit.  and I used an old border die as the border strip.  Love how this turned out.

This Valentine layout is of the gifts for my family for Valentines this year.  A friend of mine makes these beautiful cookies(and their yummy).  I was so excited to give them to everyone.  Cookies are always a hit.  The challenge was watercolor.  I cheated I have a watercolor paper pad and used that since the colors were ideal.

Emily with her first set of mouse ears she was really little.  Lots of stamping on this one which was the challenge the background is all stamped with Echo Park Stamps the cameras are also stamped and Magic Starts Here as well.  The title I created on the Silhouette along with the Mini heads and bows.  Paper is by Basic Grey(I use it sometimes when I'm not saving it).

Longdogs, always together.  Much to Vienna's dismay I think sometimes.  I altered the chipboard title and the heart strips are cut from watercolor paper I painted.  Paper MME, vellum hearts are Studio Calico.

I don't do a lot of masculine pages but I was excited to get to use Simple Stories Bro. & Co. from a Scraproom kit last summer.  The background is done with a Memory Box stencil and embossing paste.  Some little letters from Jenni Bowlin and a tag and some stickers from my stash.

Lastly for this crop I did a layout of some birthday pictures of my brother.  I used Doodlebug paper and embellishments.  Stenciled the dots background with Distress Oxide ink and cut the title with my Silhouette.  Some of the 70's and 80's pictures I have are damaged by light but they are all that I have so they will all be documented eventually.

I know I didn't get a lot done this crop and Victoria Marie gives you a couple of weeks after to complete them.  I just find I'm so much more motivated during the crop weekend.  After it's over I tend to move on to different projects.  Maybe I'll come back and finish something half done but that's about it.  Still I think 6 layouts on a weekend I had other things going on is Awesome!    And it's always fun!

Hope someone is inspired by this.  Thanks for stopping by

Scrappy Saturday - The Scraperbowl - Virtual Crop 4 layouts Complete

Day 2 is here of the Scraperbowl over at Victoria Marie.  We've been enjoying online zoom chats while working and a great list of challenges.  Today I was able to finish 4 layouts.  The first one Precious Girl is Abbi all dressed in her fancy Holiday dress and posing on her new bunk beds.  She loves them.  I used  Simple Stories North Pole from my Scraproom Kit, Memory Box dies(alpha, poinsettia and holly), Scrapbook.com stamps, and Thickers.  There is also some gold dots and gold glitter paper to mat the photo.

This layout is of my Dad in high school.  The devil and winged shoes I created and cut with my silhouette as well as the title.  The black and white papers came out of my scraps.  Then I just added a black and red photo mat.

Teddy was Emily's boyfriend at the times new puppy,  he came to visit us a couple of time and was just the sweetest.  Not sure Vienna and Gracie agreed.  I used a base page I created last year with K&co paper ten added Thickers and felt flowers from my stash.  Super quick page.
Lastly is the Halloween Mermaid page.  The picture is from a Halloween party my brother had and it's hard to see but I used all kinds of Halloween punches on the background.  I punched them in black and created a layered background paper with them.  The black and white paper came out of my scrap bin.  I also added Thickers.

YAY 4 more layouts created!  Getting closer to my goal of 25 projects I'm a little behind but catching up.  Thank you for taking a look.

Stamping on a Layout Challenge - Schnockered Scrappers Challenge

So this challenge is over on the Schnockered Scrappers Challenge Blog.

For this layout I used some new(to me) Scrapbook.com stamps and my 12 x 12 Misty to stamp the Dec and the 25 circles at the top.  The pattern paper and embellishments at the bottom are from my Scraproom kit from December, the Simple Stories North Pole set.  I also stamped some of the words, Visit, Memories and documented, from another stamp set from Scrapbook.com.

The picture is my Grandma Vera and I during the holidays.  Gotta love the big hair in the 80's and can I say I do not remember that sweater at all.

So back to the Challenge Blog.  My intention was to create a drink for each month but much like in real life I cannot remember to drink or create drinks.  Maybe as we move along in the year?  It's that or change the name of the blog.   The idea is cooking in my brain.  We will see.

Thank you for coming by and taking a look at my layout!  Have a wonderful day.

Scrappy Saturday - Great Grand Parents

Last year my niece gave me a  bunch of photos she found at my brothers house.  I've been really inspired to scrap them and document as much as I can remember.  These are my great grandparents on my dad's side of the family.  In the middle picture is my brother and I with my Great Grandpa Lee when we were visiting in Iowa.  I remember going to Shakey's Pizza and getting those hats and how much my Great Grandfather loved the selection of pizza.

For this layout I used a Scraproom Kit PinkFresh Days of Splendor and did the journaling across one of the pattern paper strips.  It was a quick layout but I so enjoyed the memories while I was doing it.

Thank you for stopping in.  I  have been scrapping some more this weekend so there will be a recap coming up.

Sunday Self-Care - Scrappy Saturday

OH Gracie!  You are so cute you don't need the face mask.  She is the most relaxed dog ever maybe it's all the Self Care?  Anyhoo This layout was done using a kit from the Scrap Room Flavors of the Month April Kit mostly Fancy Pants a Cherry On Top line.  I had fun doing this one mostly because the pictures crack me up.

Thanks for coming by to take a look.

Petunia - Scrappy Staturday

So happy with how this turned out.  I found this large photo of Petunia close up.

Used papers from one of the Scraproom kits from April. This kit was from Fancy Pants and the only thing I added from my stash was the letters to spell Petunia.

Hope everyone is staying safe in this uncertain time.  Thank you so much for stopping by.

Lovely - Scrappy Saturday

My Friend Maggie took Abbi on a trip to Michigan for one of Megan's skating competitions.  They stayed right on the dunes and she took some amazing photos of them and sent them to me.  I love love their happy faces and all of the beautiful sunshine on the dunes they enjoyed during time off from the Rink.

I used a Pink Paisley kit from The Scrap Room and some Spellbinders dies I chalked up. I 'm so in love with this color palette.  The black doily is from Doodlebug and the letters are American Crafts thickers.

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look.  I hope all is well with you and yours...

You're My Sunshine

Here is my layout for the Scrap Room Challenge April 2020 Jump Start Sketch(below).    I used a single shot kit from the Scrap Room with items from Jen Hadfield and some embellishments from my embellishment box.  Love these photos of Abbi, she loved a bouncy castle when she was little!  This day we were at a Birthday Party and she just ran around and slid down the slide over and over and over.

April 2020 JumpStart Sketch Challenge

I did turn this layout on it's side so that it worked with the orientation of my photos.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look I hope everyone is having an Awesome Day.  Stay Home and Stay Safe.

Pinata Time - The Scrap Room FB

Had fun creating this layout using the Scrap Room Facebook Group Sketch Challenge this month.  I used the kit Echo Park Hello Spring for this one.  I'm in love with the yellow stripes.  I fussy cut the butterflies and added some butterfly buttons from my stash, as well as rub ons(American Crafts), sequins, and a Stamp Set for the title.  I did stamp each letter and cut it out.

Below is the sketch I was working from.  I did flip it on it's side to help with the orientation of my photos this time.

Thank you for stopping by hope your weekend was great!  Happy Monday!
