Ahhhh the weekend begins. Actually it began for me last night I went to a crop at TFTM with Ana and Renee. I picked some beautiful color combos for my BH layout for the Nov. sketch. Pretty pretty can't wait until it's done.
Didn't sleep well last night and had to get up early to meet some friends for the Stamp and Scrap Expo. After a few stops, coffee, yard sale(got a toaster oven for clay $3 woo hoo), some wrong turns. We finally made it to the Expo. Much to learn and see. Did a few MNT's got some free stuff and bought a lot of cool stuff as well as a stash of EZ mount foam.
Shari gave me my book for the round robbin in the group I have to pick a theme? I also got Harriets book to do my pages in, hers is just beautiful. I'm excited about my new friend/friends. They are so artistic it feels inspiring to be with them.
Em had her first T-Ball game today. I hear as a pitcher(yelling pitcher pitch) she made an awesome stop! That's my girl! Abbi was very excited to show me all her stuff from today too, just as I was excited to show Dave all mine! The girls took a pleasant bath, except Ab's screaming she thinks this is funny in the bathroom with the echo!
All is well here and I'm exhausted. I need to assimilate everything I saw today and decide where to begin tomorrow. I should wait up for the "official" SU retirement list to come out but I'm exhausted and well it's nothing that can't wait until 8am tomorrow when we are all up from a good nights sleep! There's plenty of time to morn our favorites leaving and look forward to what new might be coming! I shall have new artwork to share tomorrow!
Trying To Hard to Stall Time
Some days I realize how hard I'm working to keep my kids little for as long as possible. Today was one of them. On the way to drop off Em at preschool for one of the last few times ever. I realized that this summer is my last time with her as my baby. She's going to grade school next year and she will grow up so much faster after that. In a little over a month she'll be turning 5. 5 years since felt my heart expand to envelope this tiny baby and held her in my arms for the very first time. 5 years since I was so unsure what to do so afraid I would do it wrong. 5 years since I became a mother for the first time. 5 years since I fell in love so deeply I couldn't breath. It seems to me I've never lived life without Em. She's a part of me. I can't remember a time she wasn't ever present in my mind or my heart. My life before her is foggy at best. I'm not sure I deserve such a wonderful amazing bright loving child not sure how to prove to her that I do or why I feel the need to prove it to her now before she heads off to her first year of school in the real world?
Busy Busy
Ok well Wed. is my get busy and do it day. So I've been productive. Everything is getting picked up for the crop tonight. I finally got my room somewhat picked up and space cleared to work up there some. I'm generally unmotivated when I have supplies everywhere. Which I suppose explains my urge to buy more organizational supplies. Ahhh will the quest ever be completed?
I hope so. It's frustrating to clean and organize only to have it a mess the next day.
Right now the kids are diligently cleaning, well I should rephrase that. Emily is cleaning and Abbi is crying at the prospect of cleaning. She screams everytime I tell her to pick up toys. Her way of getting out of it. Then she goes and hugs Emily and cries. It's terribly sad and sweet all at the same time. I hope this means they are going to be close to each other. They will of course hate me for making them clean! LOL BAD MOMMY!
Oh well Dave's Devils and Dust CD came today I can't wait to give it to him. He loves Bruce and since he's so down lately I thought this might cheer him up. I can only hope. Although he seems to be coming out of his funk a little bit. He's been picking on me though which means he's getting back to his own self. Very very funny man not so funny when he's unhappy.
A Pizza box arrived today from Club Scrap their big and tall Alpha sets. Oh my god am I going to have some of the coolest layouts with these stamps. I will try to use them tonight! They are way YUMMY! Oh how will I organize these now??? LOL it's a never ending circle! Ok back to my kitchen then off to T-ball.
I hope so. It's frustrating to clean and organize only to have it a mess the next day.

The day has come to an end. All is quiet in my little world. Dave is out in the garage enjoying his cigar(YUK) but he's happy.
Em was thrilled to go on her field trip today to Goberts and plat a flower. They all got a little shovel and some more seeds to plant more later. Their also making a word can which we get to decorate here to help them with their reading. She is super excited about the decorating part hope that leads to excitement about the words!
Abs well she had a rough one. We had a lunch date with our new friends Shari and Joey(also 2). But it took place during what would normally be her nap time. She was less than well behaved she kept taking Joey's toys giving him her french fries then taking them back. Her favorite word these days is NO. She's good at it every asnwer to everything is NO or Pease(please)! But she's so darn cute it's hard to get too mad at her. She's testing her limits and control over her own choices I know but it always rears it's head in public it seems.
We tried for the park today but when the sun went behind the clouds the wind was way too cold to stay for any length of time. Maybe it will be less windy and cold tomorrow??? We have to head to the library though I have a book on hold. Maybe the new Janet E. book woo hoo!

Chores YUCK
Just trying to get some of my chores done before leaving the house for the day. Lots to do today since I put it off all weekend. Here's my list hopefully this will keep me accountable to some extent.
Laundry, Kitchen, US Baths, Put away clothes, Em's room. I have to get lots done today so I can work on my Scrapping this evening! Wish me luck!

Ok Back to Organizing
I'm getting the room cleaned up for a big creative surge I feel coming on! YEAH RIGHT! I can smell it. I'm working on my paper project for the LSS it will be cake! LOL you'll understand that when I'm finished. I'm also finishing up my entry for the $15,000 scrapbook giveaway. I have one more layout to complete and I'll be satisfied.
Today is a busy day though off to lunch with a lady from my stamping meetup group that is disbanding. Then to the park(weather permitting) with Laurie and Andrew now that he's home from the Hospital we need to catch up and take a deep breath! Hopefully I can get the room a little more cleaned up today along with some laundry. Then I really just need to clean Em's room, it's trashed, and put away tons of laundry! One of my least favorite jobs.
Oh well roasting a chicken for dinner so that's easy at least!

Ok well into the wee hours of the morning I'm reading others blogs instead of doing my work reorgainzing my room. YIKES. I realized I've been lax in posting here! TeeHee what an understatement. Just another way to not have to clean!
If I put everything else off long enough I won't have to be successful at anything I try. That's my problem I suppose fear of what would happen if I really succeeded at what I love!
The girlies were wild today. It was Monday I suppose that's to be expected! Emily had Haley over for most of the afternoon and evening. They were having a ball in the backyard they were even able to eat out there. Strange as it seems since yesterday it was 40 and tomorrow will be 50 but it was in the upper 60's today and very pleasant if you weren't in the wind. Abs had a terrible runny nose after playing out there though. Here little baby cheeks and nose were all red. But she was so happy when Daddy came home and put her in the swing! Oh what a pleasant evening!
