A layout using many accesories from Jenni Bowlin's April Kit and more yummy CherryArte paper. I am lucky I found the perfect color ink to match and this patterned paper is perfect for Federal Blues! Posted by Picasa
Love these first real spring day pics. This paper is ideal and has lots of fun color! I'm playing around with white! Trying very hard to embrace the white space! LOL Posted by Picasa
One template many looks well this is the standard look but I still love it so we had to do this one in class! The template class was good everyone enjoyed themselves and really love the template they took home. Since we only did 2 things from the template instructions the other ideas are all bonus and give them more ways to use one envelope template! I have one piece left that is a box/bag that needs to be photographed but we are sunless at the moment! As soon as we get something other than gloom I'll take a pic! Or maybe I'll be outside???? LOL! Have a Great Day! Posted by Picasa
The mini envelope is from the template with a little note card that slips in. I'm loving this patterned paper! Posted by Picasa
Another one from One Template Many Looks this is a little tab card that slides in. I used some stickers from a scrappin kit. It's a very happy card! Posted by Picasa
From my One Template Many Looks Class last night. Cute little purse that can hold a gift card or just a note! Posted by Picasa

BoooNana!

So Abs is just too stinkin cute sometimes! It's that age! Where she talks constantly and most of the time it's perfectly clear and once in awhile she changes a word. Like up until this week she called Banana's, Nana's which made sense and was fine we understood what she wanted and goodness knows she rarely has time to properly pronounce words there is way to much playing to be done for goodness sake! But this week she was assisting me in offering snacks to a playdate of Em's and she explained how "we have applesauce and BoooooNanas!" which is just too cute for words and she's been saying it ever since. And much to Dave's dismay so have I! It's moments like this that I ache inside knowing that she is growing up way too fast for my liking and this will only last another week before we move on to some much worse fate that only a 3 year old can dream up! "COMING SOON: What our Preschooler Repeated!" LOLOLOL
She sat in front of the window in her little chair staring out at the swingset just waiting. Everyone once in awhile she would turn and look at me and say "Mommy I go outside?" Rainy days in spring are such a hard thing for little kids to understand especially after a long hard winter! "Sweetie if I could make it stop this instant I would!" Posted by Picasa

Band-Aid Girly!

So I've been a bad blogger! Slapping things on here and there! I've been running around putting band-aids on everything that needs to get done and I'm finally sensing some calm. Phwewwwwww! I'm ahead of schedule at the moment but that could change of course at any moment especially with kids invovled! Hee Hee!

So what's happening here! T-Ball in practice sessions, Dance preparing for recital and Daisy's nearing an end but starting Brownie recruiting! School is starting to prepare us for summer break and it's only APRIL! Otherwise everything is still the same here!

So what's creative going on? I have a bunch of projects in the fire right now I'm trying some new techniques. In part since I started doing the Cottage newsletter I have discovered I'm not really that far behind technically since I started staying home. Or maybe it's just an easier learning curve for me. Anyway it's sparked something in me that I can now do other things I thought were impossible or at the very least improbable!

I am teaching 2 classes this weekend on Friday Springy Cards I'm sooooo happy spring is here and one Saturday which is at the Church and will include Mothers Day Greetings and some Grad stuff since I won't be back there until after graduations. Next week I'm doing a template class which I'm sooo very excited about and can't wait to share the samples with you! YUM-O! Your going to die when you see them!

The girls are also on a creative binge lately since the Easter Bunny brought them craft kits and Grandma Gayle gave them stamps and ink. The glow in the dark window cling sticker kit not good for Daddy he gave it a thumbs down but everything else was a success and the perfect subsitute for too much CANDY!

So it's Wed. and I'm scrapping with the girls tonight well I'm working on an assignment but it's scrapping to some extent so I'm good! I just have to find my table it's covered with schtuff! I suppose people want to sit down in the chairs not on the floor? BUMMER! Going to do a little picking up and finish pulling supplies for tonight!

Have a great rest of the day look for a new layout later!
My Friends and I at our nail party getting our toes done! We had a blast doing this last summer and hope to do it again this year at least once!  Posted by Picasa

Are We Spending Too Much Time With Our Head In The Sand??????

I think I have a lot of good friends. I'm still friends a few people from grade school and high school. I have a fairly close circle of friends around me we try to get together often. I even have people online that I consider friends.

I guess it's hard to know when people are actually your longterm friend and when they are just passing through your life to make some change that was hopefully neccesary or helpful. I guess no matter what a friend should make you a better person for what they teach you about life and about yourself.

What I have learned from people I consider my friends. 1) I need to be less on the defensive all the time. Not everything everyone says to me is a direct attack on my character as a person. 2) I have to stop wondering so much what someone means when they say something to me "read less into things". It could just be they mean what they say? 3) I need to learn to trust my instincts more about people and less what is visible on the outside. Some facades are so well established it's hard to see through them for what really lies beneath. 4)Basically I am this: I stand up for what I believe to be right and true and I am undeniably fair! Everyone gets the same chances in everything in my world no exceptions everyone gets honesty from me(except when I tell my kids that the Easter Bunny asked me to buy this easter grass! and those types of things) Everyone gets to have fun with me because I'm basically a funny person, now some people may not get my humor as it is a bit dry but those around me and truly close to me understand it. And well I suppose if your British you understand it. I can tell as my kids get older their not fond of it! Lets just say I feel for them I wasn't terribly excited about my Dad's sense of humor when I was a kid!

Lessons to remember daily. Lessons that can only help make me, my family and my friends better people. Life is just that a series of lessons. We cannot stop learning or trying to improve lest we forget how to be human and become what we loath!
A Dollar Store Coaster I altered around Valentines! Love love the Sweetwater papers!  Posted by Picasa
It was soooo beautiful Thursday I stopped doing what I was doing to walk to the park with the kids. Abbi is still a little sick so when she got tired out we left but we had a great time and I got some great photos!  Posted by Picasa
