Project 4 was a quick one. Using Mon Ami, Everyday Flexible Phrases, and Cheesecloth. Sand is quickly becoming my new favorite neutral! Posted by Picasa
This is Smitten and the Too Terrific Tag set from the Sell-Abration Catalog project 3 from stamp camp Friday! Posted by Picasa

Catch Up

I have so much catching up to do! We've been having computer problems which led to AOL problems(since I tried to fix the computer myself)! Some days I can access some sights and not others some days I can access nothing! I can't go to any secure websites which sucks! So I'm working to get it fixed! I can still go to the Cottage at least! It just takes forever for things to load and I get tired of it! Anyway I think we may have Geek Squad or someone coming to look at the PC and get it all straightened out! I need to stop trying to fix it myself! LOL

So what am I missing? Well it seems all the CHA lookies are coming out so I've been missing those catching up on the new BG at the cottage which looks amazing I want Urban Coture and Color Me Silly for sure!!! I'm so excited for the new stuff!

This week was super busy! Wed. scrapping dance and market day! Thur. our last Christmas celebration with the Swansons and a goodbye to one of my nephews leaving for the airforce tomorrow! Fri stamp camp(very fun!)! Sat. Bowling for GOD ok not really it was a Church outing but I like to say Bowling for GOD! LOL It just cracks me up! The actual bowing was way fun and since I suck at it very very amusing to say the least! Dave and I watched a movie together which means???Yes we got a new DVD player to replace the broken one! Today Dianne and I ran over to Archivers and I used my 30% off coupon on a new paper trimmer! WEEEEE hopfully this one will cut straight fo a really long time? We'll see????? Then we had lunch at Applebee's YUMMY! I'm working on Valentines cards now using my new trimmer I'm digging it, it's the Fiskars rotary trimmer that is portable. I have a giant Carl rotary trimmer that I used to do my classes and I love it, it's just not very portable, takes up a huge amount of space and is fairly heavy so I needed something I could carry around with me.

Tomorrow the girls have dentists appt.s! We'll be there for a couple of hours so I'm hoping they don't freak out! Em has a tooth that needs to be capped so we'll see!

I have been tagged three times to do the get to know you 4 questions which will be up shortly sorry Carolyn, Lisa and Sue I swear it's coming!
Ok here is Em's pic of the Daisy Troop I am of course the largest person! LOL She got the tunics just right and I love how she's playing with the way she writes her name now trying out her fonts as it were! She was so cute she showed everyone her pic of the Daisy's!  Posted by Picasa

Daisy Daisy!!!

Ok so we had our 3rd Daisy meeting this afternoon. Finally one that I feel went well. I'm trying really hard to be more organized this year in all aspects of my life. This includes my little Daisy Troop! I missed the leader meeting this month didn't open the email until yesterday the meeting was the 9th. Oooops so much for my organization. Anyway I have the group pretty much organized and have them working on stuff for next month and we're moving along although I'm not sure how we'll catch up after our late start and my utter lack of Girl Scout knowledge! Emily even participated a lot she had a great time and was looking so forward to it she drew an aswesome picture in school of our meeting I shall scan it and load it here.

I went to the post office today and oh my even my quiet little post office had a line forever almost to the door CRAZY in the middle of the day! But I discovered the joy of the 24hr postal machine! This thing is awesome! I put my packages up there and it did all the work I ordered the stamps it shot them out at me and I got all my packages in the mail even the one I've been driving around in my car with for over a month now! SOOORRRRRY CHRISTI!!!!!! My kids were so exaserpated with that poor box because I threatened them not to step on it and it was always in their way! Did I mention I hate going to the post office But now with this machine there I might change my mind!

Last night was my date to see HP4. A great seafood rest. we love to eat at over by Dave's parents closed so instead of driving around we went to Applebee's which is always decent. I got Dave to try the Maple Butter Blondie{yes he turned up his nose, I did that the first time I read it}. OHHHHH MAN is it yummy! I had to fight for bites he devoured it and after he whined how full he was!!!! LOL

Anyway the movie was good it was very dark and very violent even Dave commented when we left how it didn't really seem like a kid movie anymore. Which is true I suppose as they grow older in the books. I'm glad I finally saw one of them in the movie theatre. Since I go to the movies about once a year it was good that this time it was something I really wanted to see! We saw previews for the new Pink Panther movie with Steve Martin that looked funny we may break our once a year routine and go again???????

Over on the message board the ladies are talking about cheesecake and they are killing me. I like cheesecake, make one for Dave every year on his birthday. Have been known to order it out especially at the Cheesecake Factory but never until now have I craved cheesecake! AHHHHH how many points do you think a CF slice is??? NOOO I don't want to know! Don't tell me!

Have a great evening everyone!
My mom gave me this candle for Christmas! Love it! I've burned it a couple of thimes which is why his hat is a little less than perfect!  Posted by Picasa

I'm BACKKKK!

Ok I wasn't gone that long but I feel like I was not quite myself since Friday! I've finally stopped taking the painkillers although I have to do the antibiotics till the end of the week but those just make me a little nauseous nothing serious. Anyway the fog of the Vitamin V has lifted! And I can finally think again!

I'm sooo excited last night I made waffles with my new George Forman Grill and the turned out wonderful! Maybe it was just the first food that tasted good after 2 days of drugs?? But I thought the were spectacular and even Dave ate seconds so they must have been decent! I served them with some fresh blueberry perserves we got for Christmas from my scrappin friend Mel. Yummy with a little whip cream the kids thought they were in heaven getting to put whip cream on their dinner! LOL I would have made them for breakfast but oh well I slept off and on in the morning!

I went out for about 20 min last night just to get out of the house. I went to the JoAnn's with my 50% off one item coupon. Got some super fabric taupe with big red flowers on clearence for $1.6o a yard it's going to be perfect for the accessories in my kitchen/eating area. I'm going to make a table runner and I'm not sure what else with it. Then I found some very cool MOD fabric in a big funky flower pattern for the girls room curtain panel which was too stinkin cool to pass up. I thought I would use my 50% on that but it was on sale as well so I ended up getting Cloth Paper Sissors 50% off. Darn had I known it I would have used the coupon for a new ironing board cover mine is funky! Oh well I love the mag it's always inspiring and now that Expressions has gone away it's one of the few mixed media mags I'll buy. Nothing new in scrapbooking there except more of their chintsy knock off embellishments and some CK album kits that are well not something I would buy. Oh well it was nice to get out of the house for a bit!

I started a new project with some fabric last night I wish I had thought to take a picture of the case before I covered it. Now I just have to finish lining it and create the small album to go inside and of course Embellish! Oh well a little motivation is returning! I'm a happy camper!

And the greatest thing of all in our life right now, it's probably sad that I admit we have so little excitement, Abbi sits on the potty now everytime we change her diaper. She's actually excited, I think about washing her hands! But whatever she wants to sit on the potty which I thought would never happen!

Distressing to say the least!!! LOL

Well maybe not in a bad way but in a very good happy gotta have em way!

Tim Holtz and Ranger Industries are coming out with 12 new colors of Distress Pads. **** Aged Mahogany * Broken China * Brushed Corduroy * Dried Marigold * Dusty Concord * Faded Jeans * Frayed Burlap * Pine Needles * Scattered Straw * Shabby Shutters * Spiced Marmalade * Worn Lipstick ******* Now the contemplation begins I really want Aged Mahogany, Worn Lipstick and Shabby Shutters but then I want the Frayed Burlap and Scattered Straw as well. Could these names be any cooler? I really have no more room in my distress ink box but I really really want some new colors! What to do???? I should go and look for a new box before CHA thus allowing me to buy more! Hmmmmm Good idea!

Chant with me POTTY POTTY POTTY!

Yes finally, Abbi is sitting on the potty without freaking out like we are trying to kill her! Ok maybe it's a little soon to be so excited! Up until today she has freaked when you mentioned the potty to her dug her heals in screamed no like it was the most unholy unparent like thing to suggest! But lastnight after trying to bribe her with princess pull-ups, stickers, candy and even, yes Mommy said it, her very own Coconut dog we crossed a line in the sand. Coconut has been taken away as he's Emily's anyway and if she wants one of her own she needs to earn it by going on the potty by herself. This is how she will keep wearing princess pull ups as well instead of diapers! We are willing to try just about anything since we're completely clueless. Emily was a breeze she was eager gung ho don't stop me now with potty training! Abbi on the otherhand is content to just wear diapers forever! NOOOOOOOOOOO! I hate changing Diapers! Or maybe I'm just burned out on it since I've been doing it non stop for the last 5 1/2 years. Either way I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I don't want to let it go!
This is the coolest! I got this cool purse template from Croppers Cottage and I made this little card with it for a swap! It's fantastic and makes a mini album or a card. I think I may use this template for Em's bday invites this year! The stamp set is Too Terrific Tags with the Fluer De Lis and I also used Print Pattern and French Script. I'm just in love with the little purse though!  Posted by Picasa

The Dentist UGH!

So awhile back I had a filling fall out and finally went to have it fixed at the dentist last night. 4 hours later and 1/2 a root canal down I made it home. UGH! Oh well at least I didn't have horrific pain. Now I'm a little icky and spacey from the Antibiotic and Codine but that will pass in a few days it's just mild. I made sure today to only take 1/2 a vicadin way before I had to go and drop off or pick up from school! Yikes! On a happier note my dentist is redoing the office they have flat screened TV's everywhere! Even over your head while he's working on you. They are only showing Everybody Loves Ray episodes at the moment but it just got setup! Hopefully they'll have something new when I go back next month! Weeeee what a reason to look forward to the dentist!

Everything else here is the same Coconut has been located and the battle continues for custody of the poor little dog(it's a toy don't worry)! I'm about ready to drive downtown and buy another one!

Tonight I ruined dinner Veggie burgers smell aweful when you burn them let me just tell you! Not sure what happened but I couldn't get the grill apart the burgers had melded the two sides together! Dave kept telling me it was locked! Dude there is no lock! It's smoking soy that has fused them together! The fans are on and the girls at Chicken Nuggets and Pirate Booty they were happy! I would say poor Dave but I don't think he wanted the veggie burgers to begin with so he's doing a little happy dance inside! LOL

OK I must go lie down this painkiller is making me drowsey!

Happy Monday!!!

My living room is almost back to normal post Christmas! We moved the Loveseat up to the playroom yesterday can you say O-R-D-E-A-L it involved tools including the new mechanical(push a button) tape measurer he got for Christmas a hammer screwdrivers the pliers even came out. You see the Man was in charge! So after to do he took the door off the hinges and the thing finally made it in. Phew! I'm so happy my living room is so less cluttered now! This is my goal this week get it all set up and pretty again!

The cyber crop is over and I'm happy it was such a raging success! Everyone had a great time there were no negatives unless you count lack of sleep a negative! The Awards last night was a blast and it seems everyone won a prize it was really like we were in a room with Christi announcing it there was so much chatter and congrats I could almost hear applause in my head! LOL Crazy I know! But I have a vivid imagination!

I was slightly appalled whenI went through my scrapping stuff the other night I found so many half finished layouts. Like at least 13, what is that all about? Can I just not commit? Am I that lame that I can't find a way to end a layout. So for the next 2 weeks I'm goning to be working on layouts with no ending. I will be cranky and peeved about it, but come on they have to just be done and get put away!

Ok off to go make some Coffee for my injection of motivation! Have a great Monday!

RAVE(the store not the dance party)

Cutting Edge/In The Know/Stylish! All these things I am not! But I often wonder about them. Especially [In The Know] and [Stylish]. Most of what is thought of as Cutting Edge is just one artist being themselves, right and others loving it so much they make it stylish and pretend to be in the know because they have copied it first. It's all somewhat mind boggling if you think about it. I mean anyone doing any kind of art at all the good the bad and the ugly so to speak is Cutting Edge because they are actually doing it instead of talking about it in say a BLOG(notice I'm talking ;-}). And really all it would take to be In The Know is to read up on the current trends and incorporate those you like into your art thus becoming stylish. As far as being stylish well that's just another way of saying trendy and somehow that brings to mind the store RAVE. Anyone remember that? I know Jennifer and Challa will! (Blast from the past!) The clothes were terribly trendy but they were made out of a material so cheap they became rags after you washed them once or twice. I swear the the thread disolved! Which was ok since the trend had changed anyway and you needed to buy something totally different anyway! Back to the subject stylish/trendy by this standard have no substance. Thus making you the least Cutting Edge person around. See it's a vicious circle! How does one break out of the cycle? Do you just step off the giant spinning wheel one day? Or just plug along doing what must be done to continue the cycle? That is the question of the day! What do you do?

Wow Wow What a Week

We've been Cyber cropping all week at Croppers Cottage with Live Celebrity Chats, Challenges, Classes, Games and Prizes and I'm exhausted. I have one class to teach tonight and then I really must leave some praise in the Gallery I've gotten behind looking at all the amazing work being done. The most exciting thing so far besides getting so many layouts done this week is that Heidi Swapp announced live during our chat that she is Expecting in August! How stinkin cool is that!

It's been a blast but I picked up a book at the library today and I'm looking forward to curling up with it after Sunday!

I'll post some layouts after the weekend! I have lots to share!

I'll Be Better in 2006!!!!!!

I swear I will! The Holiday's and everything just knocked me off my feet! And now it's over!

Happy New Year!

I'm making some resolutions here in hopes that putting it out there will help me reach my goals.

1) Blog everyday! Ok Ok Every week!

2) Complete 200 layouts this year!

3) Journal more and better on layouts!

4) Send at least 5 items in a month for publication!

5) Spend more time with my family making memories and remember the camera!

6) for a non scrapping one cook more eat out less!

7) read at least one GREAT book a month.

I think that's about it for now. I'm forgoing the diet and exercise routine this year. I never do it anyway! I want to resolve to do things I want to do!

So how is everyone spending their First day or even week in the NEW YEAR? I'm at the cyber crop over at Croppers Cottage we're having a blast! Tonight we had Denise from Scrapworks on to chat and tomorrow the ladies from Sweetwater are coming to talk to us. Later this week Heidi Swapp it chatting along with Stacy from Junkits and many others! It's all very exciting and I have almost complete 2 layouts today. Sooooo exciting!

Anyway if you get some time stop by and visit! If not make some memories this year!
