Canvas Fun

Here is the last sample for the technique class today and this evening.  We're making patterned fabric/canvas such a cool affect!  Love it!

Hope to see you there!  Have a great day.

Cracking Up

Well not really but this cracked glass technique is pretty cool!  Another thing we are learning in the Techniques class tomorrow at Craft Fancy.  There are still a couple of spaces left.

So what are you doing?  I'm making cheesecake and cleaning house.  Or maybe I should say avoiding cleaning house.  It's so beautiful I just want to make a big glass of ice tea and sit out on the deck.  But then who will mop the floor and fold the laundry?  Wait I can get the kids to fold the laundry.  Hmmmmm.   I'm going to see how far along they are with their homework.  Have a great evening I'll be scrapping with my Schnockered friends tonight!  Woo Hoo!

Just Batty

So when Spellbinders came out with this Bat Die I fell in love.   I adored the mobile in their booth at CHA and that image got stuck in my head.    Then that image got stuck in my head!  When the die came into the store I put it in my pile to by, I took it out.  I looked at it for a couple of weeks adding it and taking it out of my basket.  Then Margie the brilliant made a lovely bat banner for the Spellbinders blog and I was hooked!   I had to have it.  So here is my first creation with this fabulous die.  I'm excited and I have lots of ideas for it.  And maybe I'll have time to make my own mobile.    I love how my modified Iris Folding came out.   Very Spooooooky!

We had another beautiful day today fresh and sunny and just a little crisp in the morning.  Couldn't ask for better.  This evening though I am struggling with a plan for dinner.  I have no idea what to fix.   Nothing jumps out at me and my entire new issue of Bon Appetite and nothing said make me for dinner tonight.  I think it's too nice outside when all the food around me is screaming Fall.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Happy Monday

What a cool crisp Fall start to our day we had!  I love it Fall is my favorite time of year.  I can't wait for the leaves on the trees to start changing.  So we were all busy with work and school and regular Monday stuff.   I got to change the window displays at work today to Fall and Christmas.  That's always fun!   I was really motivated this morning and made a big pot of chilie in the crock pot for dinner! YUMMY!  Everyone here loves chilie there was cheering for dinner!  HA I think it's because Dave insists we eat it with Fritos.  What kid doesn't like Fritos?

So this week I'm teaching a couple of classes my favorite being Terrific Techniques.  The card above is one of the samples from that class.  The fall Memory Box stamps are so much fun.  We're using those this week.  Anyway check out the stores website for the calendar and blog with info.  Fun Fun Fun!  Hope you had a great day!

You Are Invited

To a free Make & Take event tomorrow at CraftFancy!  Lots of new products and discounts and  samples to see.  I've been working hard for the last couple of days finishing samples for my upcoming classes.  So exciting!  See you there!

Card is from my Fantastic Folds class from the summer but very appropriate.

New for Etsy

So I've been playing with one of my new Spellbinders Labels.  Love it!  I made these for my Etsy Shop and added them in today!  perfect at  a place setting, on a giftie or even just for a fall layout!

Sooooooo Excited For Tonight

We're going to a crop!  Woo Hoo it's been a couple of weeks since I've worked on my scrapping and I still have to finish that page!  EEEEK  I can't figure out how to pack I don't remember the last time I went to a crop?  I'll take everything and leave what I am not going ot use in the car and then I'll take a little more!  HA

Hee Hee Heee

So this thank you was for Carol.  I was so excited to use my ATV stamp from Stampin Up.   I've never had a reason for it yet even though I've had it for months.  She and her boyfriend just got matching ATV's for all of their mini trips.  It's cute and kinda looks like hers.

All Done

These are for our friend Lauren.  I've been helping her put together her save the date cards for her wedding.  I only did a small portion.  The  Palm Trees, airbrushing and FlowerSoft sand along the bottom.  She and her Mom are going ot finiish them up.  She's getting married on the beach at sunset thus the scene.

Working on a Big Project

So today I'm working on a really big project when I'm finished tomorrow I'll share photos.  In the mean time I though I would share an older bleach card I made using a set of JustRite stamps I totally love.  I embossed the flower image in Brown and then bleached out the petals and leaves with bleach in a water brush.  Once it was completely dry I colored the leaves with one of my copic markers!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Halloween is Just Around The Corner

Can you believe it?   The kids have been telling me what they want to be for a few weeks now.    Today I added these adorable tags to my etsy shop.  Love love the vintage image with it's bright colors and glowing jack-o-lantern eyes!  And then of course you have a portrait of me sitting on top!  HA

Completed Bleach Cards

Here is the completed  Bleach Card from the Thursday CARS swap meeting.  I just added some twine and a greeting stamped in green.  I like how graphic they are.

Last Night

I started my Bleach Cards for the CARS swap at CraftFancy.  I had a hard time with this one I didn't want to do the same as everyone else and I really liked the Swipe Technique.  So I changed it around a little and did it on top of embossed cardstock.  It turned out pretty cool I just need to add a greeting and it will all be golden.  16 cards done!   I need to make some Thanks Yous as well.  Getting started on that!

Ok back to work!  Have a great day!

Working Working

Just packaging up and shipping out things for my ETSY shop this is what I've been doing.  I really need to photograph new stuff and edit so I have new things to add to my shop!  EEEK   I can't keep renewing all I have left to renew are Easter  tags and Fathers Day cards.  No one wants those right now.

Tonight is scrapbooking with the girlies I hope I get lots of things done!  Have a great day!

In Keeping With

Yesterday's post here is anther item I made for my shop in honor of National Honey Month.  These are stamped with the OddBirdPlanet Bumble Bee and  then I created the beehive with punches.  The twine is Divine Twine from CraftFancy.

Happy Labor Day as well!  Enjoy the end of your Holiday weekend!

September Is National Honey Month

And I love Honey!  On a toasted English Muffin or toast it's best with a warm cup of tea.  But I love to add it to marinades as well.  And I love to stamp honey related items as well.  I didn't really realize this until this year and I checked out my collection of beehive, bumble bee and honey related items.  Who knew I was collecting these things?  This is by no means a suggestion to any family member of what to buy me in the future, so forget you ever read this.  It's just an observation of my subconcious.  That and I can't stop thinking about brakfast this morning I think I should go make some toast!

Happy National Honey Month

Fall has arrived

Or so it seems here.  We've started this weekend with that cool crisp air that makes you think of apples, bonfires, hayrides and such.  It's super nice.  Can't wait to have all of the windows open and enjoy!

First full week of school here.  Unseasonably peaceful like we didn't miss a beat.  Knocking wood.   Parent orientation was fun.  The Birthday celebration from the Schnockers group was fun and lively!  And there was lots of Chocolate cake couldn't ask for more!

Button Button

Ok so last fall I was totally obsessed with all of the button making kits on ETSY.  I bought one and made these cute red corduroy buttons.  Then I had to figure out how to use those cute buttons.  Did I really want to sew something to put them on.  Hmmmmm no not really I'm not a super strong sewer mostly since I haven't done a ton of it since I was a kid.  I can sew like mad on paper!  HA  Anyway I digress....  The red buttons made perfect holly berries and VOILA Christmas Tags for the shop.  I might have to make more for me to use on my Christmas presents this year.  I can't believe I'm thinking of Christmas already!  EEEK!
