Happy Birthday Babbi - Scrappy Saturday

Created this layout for a sketch challenge.  The original had a cut out of circles with paper behind.  I went the opposite and cut out circles, inked them and put them on top of the cardstock background.  I also created a shaker with a starburst circle die and some patterned paper with a sticker.  On the original there was a pocket card where my shaker is.  The title on the picture was actually part of the photo one of my DD's friends shared on social media of them together to wish her a Happy Birthday.   I thought it was so cute I printed it out to use for this layout.

Scrappy Saturday - Sister Snap Love

Trying really hard to get into Valentine Mode.  I've started making my cards and had all my heart supplies out, so I grabbed  my Scraproom February Kit and some other scraps that matched Echo Park Cupid & Co.  to punch hearts out.  I then laid them out in rows on black cardstock.  There are some Glossy black and shimmery red hearts in there as well.    I love love how the background turned out.  The photo got matted a couple of times and popped up with foam tape.  Happy to use some older tools to create a fresh looking layout!

Thank you for stopping by hope you're all getting exciting for Valentines Day.  Hope you have a Wonderful one!

Lovely - Scrappy Saturday

My Friend Maggie took Abbi on a trip to Michigan for one of Megan's skating competitions.  They stayed right on the dunes and she took some amazing photos of them and sent them to me.  I love love their happy faces and all of the beautiful sunshine on the dunes they enjoyed during time off from the Rink.

I used a Pink Paisley kit from The Scrap Room and some Spellbinders dies I chalked up. I 'm so in love with this color palette.  The black doily is from Doodlebug and the letters are American Crafts thickers.

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look.  I hope all is well with you and yours...

You're My Sunshine

Here is my layout for the Scrap Room Challenge April 2020 Jump Start Sketch(below).    I used a single shot kit from the Scrap Room with items from Jen Hadfield and some embellishments from my embellishment box.  Love these photos of Abbi, she loved a bouncy castle when she was little!  This day we were at a Birthday Party and she just ran around and slid down the slide over and over and over.

April 2020 JumpStart Sketch Challenge

I did turn this layout on it's side so that it worked with the orientation of my photos.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look I hope everyone is having an Awesome Day.  Stay Home and Stay Safe.

The Great Stash Bash 2020

I'm loving making my own kits from my stash.  Today I'm sharing my kit for The Great Stash Bash 2020.    This one specifies the amount of supplies in a kit and you choose the items with their recommendation and a supply focus item.  Which is great if you want to wind down on some things.

Here is my kit Above are the papers 7 Older, 3 Newer and a Few scraps.  Below are my embellishments Old at the bottom and newer Top Right as well as the washi tape I intend to use the bottom washi is glitter.

Here is the recommendation list.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge Kit April 2020

Good Morning.  I've finally done it I've created a Counterfeit Kit to play along with the Counterfeit Kit Challenge this month.   Above is my kit.  It's loosely based off of their kit inspiration from Cocoa Daisy below and the color scheme.  I see some older embellishment sheets I'm trying to use up over in the left corner.  The white words are cut files.

I'm excited to play along this month and get some layouts done and some products used up!

Hope everyone is having a great day!  Stay SAFE!

New Haircut - Virtual Crop Challenge - Kit It Up

Good Morning!  Hope everyone is keeping busy while home or being safe if you have to work.   I have to work but I'm home by a little after noon so I do get a bit of time to play.  I am playing along with Victoria Marie's Virtual Facebook Crop.  She generously created  5 challenges with prizes for us to play along with and has been going live on Facebook which is fun.  Plus there are all kinds of other things going on at her Facebook page.

For the first challenge we were to create a kit and a layout with it.  Above is my kit.  As you can see I have lots of rub ons in it.  I'm cleaning out that box in my room so I check there before letter stickers and elements.  I have had throw out about 50% of what I've tried to use as they had expired which is a bummer but it's a good lesson in using those things your saving for something special.  It is all special every single little memory.  Just use it!  I have been challenging myself to scrap with my stash.  I do belong to a kit club but I am trying to alternate the pages old and new product or incorporating old with new.

Below is my layout.  I did use the B sides of the papers and had to throw out the Hambly rub ons.  But the October afternoon ones worked great.  I did color my & with chalk inks and I added some speckles and buttons as well.  otherwise everything else was from the kit.
The pictures are Emily when she first had all her hair cut off about 8 inches.  Love her haircut it's soft and pretty.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look hope everyone is staying safe !

Making Cluster Embellishmets

I sat down and made some cluster embellishments for my scrapbook pages this week.  I just pulled up my box of embellies and started putting together things that matched.  I have a bunch below if your interested in taking a look.
I stapled the pieces together then added some twine, wood veneers and chipboard.

I really love how they turned out.  I may do this again in a bit and add in some other types of embellishments like rub ons(need to use these up) along with flowers, pearls and buttons.
This is a great way to use up some of those things that never get touched plus they are fun to go through and look at.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look have a most wonderful Day!

Scrappy Saturday July 11th

This weeks layouts.... I was very productive.  The more I scrapbook the more I want to scrapbook.  It's been fun.  I mostly started just using the Studio Calico kits still.  Later though I broke into my stash and started really playing around.  I vaguely remember this kind of scrapping just for fun!

Daddies Girls
All Studio Calico Kit except the word daddies got new AC Thickers from work.  This one was hard to photograph with all of the white.  I love the Papa/Daddy Paper though from one of the kits.  I've used it twice now getting a lot out of one sheet.

Darling Baby
Another all Studio Calico except again the same AC Thickers and the gold striped paper that is from a new MME 6x6 pad.  And lets not forget some super old sequins from Doodlebug back in the day.
Heads Up Abbi
Now I've deviated from kits to my stash.  I grabbed what I thought was my blue patterned paper box and found out later it was green.  I picked the bluest I had an old MME paper set.  Love it.  Alphas are new AC Thickers and some Simple Stories the butterflies are colored with distress from my stash of veneers.
OK really going nuts created my own paper with the new Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and Salty Ocean Distress Ink.  The paper is Twig from Little Yellow Bicycle.  Alpha old AC Thickers and the blue dots are I-Rock(yes I broke out a tool).  Can you believe I could even find a tool?  I'm not sure I can.
Don't You Just Love That Face
OMG I LOVE these pictures.  Ok so this is a mixture of new and old.  Sandylion dot I think from an old Mouse line, the blue stripe is a KI Elsie fabric, Pink Paislee blue hearts.  The red hearts are Pebbles, the doilee is Doodlebug the polka dot sticker I have no idea but it wasn't a sticker anymore.  The milk cap is Jeni Bowlin.  White Punched heart Marvy.  Stickers large font old AC Thickers small I have no idea it was just a few letters left.
We Love Headgear
And lastly for this week we have the monsters being goofy.  Paper Sassafras Lass.  Some old 7 Gypsies stickers.  Old alphas from both AC Thickers and My Little Shoebox.  Lastly Glitter Domes from my stash these were my obsession when I shopped at Archivers years ago bought them everytime I went.

Thanks for stopping by Enjoy the new Old(picture) Layouts.

Scrappy Saturday - July 4th

All I have wanted to do lately is Scrapbook.  Seems odd since I work with paper every single day that I would literally crave more paper crafts and a specific kind.  I started by creating some mini album classes, those are a ton of fun but once it's done it's done.  I've been dabbling with Stash Scrapping Kit groups those are fun but I get a little nuts pulling to much product from my stash(I do not have a collecting problem... I swear).   I joined the Studio Calico Kit club and travel to crops with just that.   I've started to gain a little more momentum each time I sit down to scrap.

So here on Saturday's I will share with you what I have done lately.

To Start 2 older layouts from the earlier Crop in June.

Daddy's Girls
This is from a stash scrapping moment.  As is probably evident by the old product.  7Gypsies paper and stickers, a little MME and Jenni Bowlin from my scraps.  The big heart from Bazzill and older Alpha stickers.
Pumpkin On Fire
This one was fun the stars were left over from another project,  the orange stick came in a very old kit club.  Bo Bunny chevron paper.  The scallops are Bazzill Borders.  The rub ons and label?????  Not sure of the alpha either.  OMG I almost forgot the old Chatterbox polka dot paper!  Loved Chatterbox I have all of their papers well unless I've used them.

Now onto layouts completed at the Crop this past Sunday this was the day I really felt the need to scrapbook grow.
Abbigayle @Gobberts
This is all from the Studio Calico Kits except the sequins.  I had fun just using the kits and making it work.
Untitled - Leepers Fork Pumpkin Patch
I didn't do a title on this one not sure why but it was more about having fun together than the pumpkin patch at Leepers Fork.   Again all products from the Studio Calico Kits except the sequins.

Part of this new found motivation had really been my family.  In the last few months I have taken layouts out of the rubber maid containers they had been in for years and put them into albums.  I so far have 7 new 12x12 albums full.  I need a couple more but I'm buying a couple each month.  Anyway the girls and even family and friends that visit see these lined up and can't resist to look that them.  They are having such a great time with them it makes me want to do more.  Somewhere along the way I forgot why I scrap and they have reminded me with the Joy I see it brings them.   Not to mention I love playing with paper and especially looking back at all of the memories we've created together.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

More Witchy Canning Goodness

Another Canning 101 Card from the Die Cut Discovery Class.  This is an adorable kit I created for CraftFancy.  Hope you like it we have a few in the store.

Canning Canning Canning - Bone Meal

This is only funny to me I suppose but I got a kick out of creating these cards and the little tags on the jars.  I think bonesy enjoyed it as well!

These are Die Cut Discovery Kits in the store at CraftFancy.  Hope you like them.

Canning 101 - Halloween

A peak of a new card kit I'm creating for @CraftFancy these will be available shortly. I'm excited about all of the canning I am doing!

Beauty

Another layout this one from my Stash Scrapping Kit from July.  Love these pictures of Abbi she is just gorgeous!  And this was when she would pose for a photo without a gameboy in her hands and without telling me just wait.  Now she's too busy!

So I love the Schnockers Stash Scrapping Kits.  I've been getting  a lot of scrapping done with them.  More layouts coming!  A couple I need to get out the sewing machine for but with my room reorganization I've made room to have my sewing machine set up most of the time.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope everyone is having a great weekend.  We definitely are!

WOYWW #195 - My Many Workdesks.....

Ooooh I get to play a little again.  I'm excited to visit all work spaces over at Julia's Stampin Ground Blog where she hosts What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday and it's a ton of fun to go and look at everyone's desks and comment and encourage everyone's progress on the their projects.   It's been hard finding time to play but on my way to work today I had a lightbulb moment.  I would share why.  So the first picture is where I work.  It's the back counter of our Local Stamp and Scrapbook Store and as you can see I take my little pink bag(on the stool) with me and then I open the box and everything I'm working on comes out and covers the counter.  I didn't show you the Sales counter but I have stuff over there as well.  I'm there for a few hours then I come home and well I work either at my desk which we've all seen that scary mess before or at my Dining Room table(Below).  Which is where I am today.  Kitting for classes(Fabulous Folds extra kits in the picture).  I have to finish before I have my scrapping group over tonight to play.

Edited to add: the cards for this class can be found here, here and here.  Someone asked so I thought I would add the links back.

Tomorrow my work desk will be the classroom at the store since I'm teaching a Clean & Simple class.  Which the prep for is anything but as you can see.  UGH  I have piles everywhere!  It's crazy!

Anyway stop on over to WOYWW #195 at Julia's blog and check out all the other fun and amazing workdesks.  And thank you so much for stopping by mine!
