So yesterday was fun we sat out back by the pool. Well me by the pool and the girls in the pool and out of the pool and in the pool. You get the idea. Then later we got ready and went to Grandma's house so Dave and I could go do a little Birthday shopping for the birthday girl. The kids were playing in the front yard when we left and when we returned. Various neighbors stopped by to say hi.
So Birthday shopping is getting harder and harder. Didn't get her anything big a couple of Polly things a pad with paints and this, a very cool chalk roller like they use on baseball fields but for kids and a DISCO Ball. It was way cheap but she always talks about how she wants a Disco Ball(LOL) it's a joke in our little family. Daddy gets a go cart when mommy gets a disco ball in her family room. Anyway it will be funny to us! After shopping we drove around looking for a party store since we don't know where anything is by his parents for the most part. Then we went to what used to by Cypress(Dave loved this bar years ago they had great burgers). It's now Landmark Inn they tore out the cool horseshoe shaped bar got rid of all the vintage cool decor replaced it with regular bar furniture and TV's everywhere most of which had the cubs game on them but you could watch the Runaway bride interview while watching the game if yous so chose. They have a great deck outside but it was packed. The menu looked good but we opted for burgers because that was their specialty before. Mine was supposed to be stuffed with portabella and rougafort(sp?). Anyway nothing was the same to say the least and mushrooms and cheese on top of the burger does not qualify as stuffed. Oh well the food wasn't terrible it was just bar food. It just wasn't as awesome as it used to be.
And so back to Grandma's house! We saw Pete and another neighbor I've never met but he thought very highly of himself kept telling my how handsome and young he was for his age???? Weird. Dave and his dad started shooting off bottle rockets in this new pipe thing he fashioned to do two at a time. Emily freaked when she saw fireworks and came running in the house slamming all the door and screaming "DON'T ANYONE PANIC" it was way to funny!!!! She said Don't panic earlier in the day when there was a spider on the chair outside where she was eating her lunch. It was a GIANT spider mommy had to come and get rid of. About a 1/2" to be exact. Her new phrase I guess.
So I worked on a couple more HS contest layouts but it's paint and wait paint and wait. I'm obsessed with paint????? NO idea what I'm doing? Scrapping tonight so we'll see if I actually finish something! Ahh what a challenge that will be.
Off to do some housework! Woo HOO!!!!
