We're back, well we've been back just catching up!

So we had a wonderful weekend. On Friday we dropped the girls off at Paula & Marc's then headed home and packed our neighbor took us to the train station and we had a very pleasant stress free ride into the city. We checked into our hotel(I knew it was our room I could see Blick's out our window! HA) , just a block from Millennium park and relaxed in the the amazing lobby(I took a quick pick I'll share later this week) with a drink. Then we got ready for dinner and went to the Lockwood. YUMMY, and it was very romantic. We had a great time. We also had the concierge make reservations for us on the Architectural Tour the next day. In the morning we got up and went out for breakfast. I had Starbucks and Dave had 7 Eleven(pepsi and muncho's HA) which we ate in the park before heading to the boat. The tour was amazing and I have to say the river has changed so much in the last 10 years. We lucked out the weather was FANTASTIC the entire day sunny breezy and just perfect! After that we walked around the city for awhile exploring, first we went to the Tribune building and checked out all the pieces of buildings and historical sites around the world then we checked out the lobby of the Hardrock Hotel on Michigan Ave., went to see the Bean and the Waterfalls. We ate at The Gage right across from the park for lunch which was amazing. Dave got a shoe shine! I was hiding in the shade and forgot to take a pic of that. I did get a sunburn unfortunately I'm so pale(pasty) too much sun no matter what fries me! Then we did a little shopping for popcorn and art supplies. After that we caught a cab back to the train station and on to home where Randi picked us up again!

It was the most relaxing wonderful weekend. The girls had a great time. Sunday was our actual Anniversary so I made a nice dinner and we all celebrated together. We are lucky the weather held out until we headed home!

So a little catch up I have cards and projects to load but I'll try to keep it to a minimum each day since I also have pics to share. This card uses the hot air balloon and rolling hills stamps by johanna's odd bird planet. I added specks of souffle pens on the rolling hills for flowers. The stickers are Making Memories.
